Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder and CEO of an architectural lighting and procurement company. I recently started a construction technology company focusing on software development for a collaborative digital review platform.

The company's name is Skoda and the first phase of development is focused on the construction submittal process.

What were your goals for this project?

Create a working, coded demo to show to investors to raise money to build a fully functional SAAS product for contractors and distributors.

How did you select this vendor?

I interviewed a few different recommended software development companies. I had a few initial meetings and calls with the Founder Noah and loved his approach to software development. Their approach to software development is all about understanding the processes and discussing them in depth before typing a line of code.

This is the correct approach and they thoroughly outline the roadmap and help non-developers decided what features are needed now and what should be done later. A very helpful service when there aren't unlimited funds.

What was the team composition?

A fantastic group of consultants with specific expertise, from UI/UX design, to back end development to project management and road mapping.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project was a huge success! They got even further than I could have expected with the demo and this being self-funded. They truly believed in the project and it showed by working more than they were paid for to make sure they made a demo product they were proud of.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Very thorough PM meetings at the beginning walking through every feature and putting them in bucket depending on when they were going to be worked on.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Great people to start! There are a lot of egos in software development and these guys don't have any. They are very thorough with everything they do and understand that the more planning and design up front the smoother the development. Noah the founder's business IQ is very high as well and can act as more than just a project manager, but can help talk strategy on all sorts of things for a fledgling startup.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No! They did a great job.
