Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an events & management company. I focus on online marketing in the event and hospitality sector.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Delta Star Technologies?
My company wanted to build a platform for event bookers where they can create their locations for events and find caterers and other suppliers. Internet companies in the Netherlands are expensive, so I sought out off-shore work.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I intended to build a larger platform, but that is a long-term commitment that needs to be waited out. I asked their team to create a site with online marketing packages where all solutions are built into one for Dutch companies. After communicating the idea to them, Delta Star Technologies made a website with a customizable Indie-CMS backend. They developed various functionalities, and SEO and email marketing features are built within the solution. Their team also provides maintenance support.

I had a majority of my contact with Dhirendra (Founder, Delta Star Technologies). They have a team of technical specialists.
How did you come to work with Delta Star Technologies?
Delta Star Technologies is active on LinkedIn and sent me a message. From there, we had informal conversations via Skype.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost £2,000 (approximately $2,304 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Delta Star Technologies between May 2017–June 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In the beginning, there were a few bug issues. I would call, and they would improve the platform. It’s all in the technical details. Whenever an element in the project is missing, there needs to be preparation beforehand. Now, it’s working quite well.
How did Delta Star Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team was quite personable. We mainly communicated through Skype and email. Skype’s screen-sharing function allowed us to see their work since they’re working long distance. We were able to have a close connection with Delta Star Technologies, despite being in different locations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Delta Star Technologies has a wide skillset. They are experts in all facets of development and online marketing. Pricing is affordable compared to companies in our area. I’m trying to expand their business in the Netherlands.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There could’ve been more effective and efficient planning throughout the project. It took longer to build specific features than anticipated. When I had a change, it took a while to be implemented. There was a communication barrier.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s essential for clients to know what they want in their process. They need to be skilled in the business when working with a company that is a significant distance away. Most communication is through Skype or email, and the company can’t stop by your office. Clients need to be clear about what they want and need for a solution. There should also be documentation with explicit instructions to limit any communication issues.
