Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
There are misunderstandings with any company, but on an overall basis, I haven’t had any issues with Deligence. If something goes wrong, they’re on it straight away. I’ve had times when we went through a process of working 7 days a week in order to fix issues, without charging me extra. When we’ve needed to make upgrades, Deligence proposed doing them over the weekend when there is more downtime.
They’re open and the quality of the work is very good. I couldn’t have continued working with the World Health Organization if Deligence’s standards weren’t high.
How did Deligence Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
I manage the work through a Skype group featuring Deligence’s project manager and the 2 developers. We communicate on an hourly basis whenever anything needs to be done. We also use Teamwork.com as a project management system. It’s where I allow clients to input tasks and bugs. It’s a ticketing system which also tracks all the tasks we need to perform. Both the client and developers have complete freedom to make modifications. I don’t want to be the one holding things up by not passing on information, so the client can communicate directly with the developers if need be. Once tasks come in on the project manager’s Teamwork, we assign priorities to them based on which developers work on them.
The project manager manages all those tasks and answers any questions the developers may have. If he can’t answer something, he will come to me. I am the front for the client most of the time, making sure everything’s on schedule.
What did you find most impressive about Deligence Technologies?
The biggest quality that they have is flexibility. I haven’t found other companies who could be as flexible as Deligence for the same price.
They’re based in India and I’m based in Geneva. I needed a developer who could work on the same time zone as mine and have discussions with the client. Their team was definitely fine with this and split time without increasing prices, while the quality of the work remained just as good. The quality of the work and English level are also satisfactory.
Are there any areas Deligence Technologies could improve?
It can sometimes take their team a while to get into the mindset of the client and find out what they want. It can take a couple of emails for them to fully understand what I want, but not more than average.
