Introduce your business and what you do there.

We invest directly in organizations and act as advisors and consultants to drive profitability, competitive positioning, and overall value. I am the president and founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Delia Associates?

I was starting out, and I wanted to get our name out into the market. We started from an idea and went from there.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They've done branding, PR, email campaigns, my websites, and blogs. They're my whole marketing arm. Our interaction is still evolving, but they use a proprietary process to get my thinking right. They help with small things, even down to the colors, all the way to the big-ticket needs like our logo, our tagline, and all our pitch materials. We can definitely see the value in their process, and they give us a lot of clarity across the whole brand.

What is the team composition?

I work with a team of three on their side.

How did you come to work with Delia Associates?

I originally found them at another business. We went through the same process there, and they were recommended to us as an agency to consider. When I started my own company, I thought of them and went back to them.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we've spent around $40,000-$50,000. A lot of our cost was frontloaded as they built the site and other big elements.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in May 2016 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their approach is great. Our notoriety and the response we've gotten as we align with other companies is extremely good. I have no doubt we'll continue to improve. They've had several phone calls based on the work we've done together, and other people are very impressed by the work they do.

How did Delia Associates perform from a project management standpoint?

They do most of the heavy lifting, though they do get my input. We have scheduled calls to discuss the process and adjust accordingly. They complete everything in an extremely timely fashion and are never over budget.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The three team members I work with are more than just my suppliers. We've become friends.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing I can think of that they should improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to them, absorb what they tell you, and be honest. You're the client, but they're the experts. They have your best interests at heart, so go through their foundational process and trust their work.
