I am the Head of User Experience and Product Design in a large outsourcing company. We have been developing in-house solutions for Fortune 500 companies in Switzerland, Germany, UK and US for over 20 years, and for the past 8 years we have moved to develop our internal products and ready-made solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire DEGO, and what were your goals?

We had new products coming into the market, and we needed a fast turnaround for a product website, built on top a specific product, using custom design and animations. In addition to that we needed company website to assist with recruitment goals.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Based on the type of work and challenges that DEGO have worked on we have chosen them to assist with our task. The idea was simple — they had the most versatile experience and they were ready to take on even the most comprehensive job.

We had essentially two main tasks:

1. Adapt and develop existing website design (created in-house) and put it on top of WordPress CMS
2. Design from scratch and develop new company website aimed at the local market to assist with recruitment goals.

DEGO have developed both websites on their staging environment, and once ready, have deployed it to our production.

We had managing director, art direction, designer and a couple developers

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had published both websites in time and without any issues. Both websites received great feedback from the relevant community.

We had regular communication via email and over the phone, when needed. DEGO have answered quickly, provided comments, feedback and deliverables timely.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to adapt to ever changing requirements, willingness to find solutions and compromises is very good.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some things need to be communicated in more details just to make sure there are no issues with development.

We are a FinTech company that recently launched a new global payment service. I am a Project Manager in this company.

For what projects/services did your company hire DEGO?

For creation of a CMS-based public website for a new financial services product.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal of the project with DEGO was to create a responsive design public website with additional functionality of contact forms and point-of-sale location map that would attract potential users of the new product with its design as well as assist existing users with its functionality.

How did you select this vendor?

DEGO was highly recommended to us by our partner company which has worked with them on various projects and had only the best feedback to share regarding their competencies. We had no reason to doubt our partner's choices, so we went with their suggestion.

We prepared high-level requirements for the website - described the sections that we would like to see there, the additional functionality we would like to have and so on.

We also had a style guide for the website already ready - colors, fonts, logos, styles of elements were described by another outsourced company. All of this information was then passed to DEGO for review, after which we met for a brief meeting to discuss the details, timelines, implementation specifics.

What was the team composition?

The project team from DEGO site involved 2 team members on a regular basis - project manager and developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The end result of the project met our expectations in full - all requested work was completed in a timely manner and with the highest quality. We were impressed by their readiness to take on new challenges and not shy away from unfamiliar tools and technical tasks.

Also worth to mention is the responsiveness of the team and willingness to assist in every aspect even after the project was already finished.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management was handled in a professional and timely manner throughout the whole project and DEGO was also closely involved in the process of us setting up the website on our servers on production - they assisted with any questions we had, made slight adjustments if any were necessary to the source code, and made the process of launching the website easier on us and our technical team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There was one main challenge for DEGO in scope of this project, as seen from our perspective - the CMS that we were set to use was a new system for them, they had not worked with it before, so they had to learn while doing in a way. This did not stop them from taking on the project, though, which shows agility and eagerness to learn new things.

I work in trade marketing at a privately owned, global, spirits supplier.

For what projects/services did your company hire DEGO?

We needed resources to support our brand activation campaign, which included developing a site, filming a promotional video, and building a VR app for iOS. The activation needed to draw attention to the brand’s values and leave an imprint on customers.

SOLUTION

What were your goals for this project?

Initially, we wanted to cultivate brand recognition with a visually appealing website and promotional video. We then needed a VR app with an intuitive UI. Our goal was to allow consumers to experience the brand from anywhere via smartphone.

How did you select this vendor?

I was not involved in the vendor selection process. However, as DEGO completed the first phase of the project, we continued to work with them to evolve the VR app.

What was the team composition?

We primarily worked with two people, one of whom was an account manager. However, DEGO had a larger development team working behind the scenes.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

In the first phase of the project, they redesigned our site UI to incorporate our promotional aesthetic. They also filmed a promotional video and created custom Google Cardboard in preparation for the VR app. The Google Cardboards were used as consumer gifts.

In the second phase of the project, they refined the video and developed the mobile app for iOS. They ensured that the video could be downloaded so that the app would function offline. An intuitive interface allowed promotional staff and consumers to use the app without instruction.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The campaign generated increased interest and customer appeal for our new brand. As a result, we increased brand distribution into new sales channels.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed well. They met our deadlines and expectations. Despite the time zone difference and potential language barrier, communication was clear and responsive. We spoke exclusively through email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We appreciated DEGO’s quick turnaround. Even video production, which required overseas travel, happened very quickly.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

While they worked well to produce an app according to our specifications, they could have been better at communicating details about their deliverables. For example, they could have specified how the promotional video would be edited or clarified that the app would be initially be produced in Apple Test Flight.

We do not have any measurable metrics, but the one key performance indicator was the management's satisfaction with the results.

Their project management was only satisfactory because some small technical details took a while to finalize.

They provide really good designs with limited materials.

They could improve their project management—the creation of the timeline, actively following up, and test the final details better.
