Please describe your company and your position there.

I am President of the non-profit board for the Springfield Township Skateboard Association. Our board is charged with getting a skatepark built in our township.

For what projects/services did your company hire Defy?

We were looking for ways to appeal to the community, but more importantly ways to connect with corporate donors and high dollar donors in order to fund the build out.

How did you select this vendor?

Defy showed tremendous interest in our cause and were aligned with our values. Their team is super dedicated and always wants to make sure the client is happy and that the results are what everyone wants. They provide great advise and much needed guidance in this arena.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Defy created a fresh logo with vibrant colors that are appealing to all of our audiences. They put together a storyboard of messages to both the community and to the corporate world in order to position ourselves correctly for donors. They are also working on a video and a full plan that we expect will be perfect for our cause.

What was the team composition?

We have a fantastic Account Manager, Katie who is our point person for all details and follow ups. We are also fortunate to be able to work directly with the creative minds as well as the leadership to be able to bounce ideas off each other get a great collaboration.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are a little early in our process to give this information but I will circle back and update this once we have put the campaign in place.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had regular meetings scheduled early in the process. They were carefully scheduled so that we knew when and what was up next. Their follow up and communication is stellar.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They just get it. They are fresh and collaborative, there is no ego involved and everyone is open to working together and serving the brand as best as possible. I also love that they are as passionate about our cause as we are.

I work for AmeriGas Propane D.B.A. Cynch Home Delivery and I am the Product Manager of the Cynch program with AmeriGas. I oversee all marketing related tasks.

For what projects/services did your company hire Defy, and what were your goals?

We hired Defy to update our How It Works video from the old version that they created for us 2 years ago. We changed up our process as a company and it needed a refresh.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We always worked with Deft (previously 2one5) and they have always provided us with great work in the past that it was only fitting we work with them on this project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We had our discovery meeting and they submitted the storyboard to us for review which we went through 2 versions of until we landed on the final version. Then they started production on the animation. Because they have worked with us in the past they were able to jump right into the project without much direction. They gave us the first round of the animation and it looked great! We picked a V/O and that was it, they are super easy to work with.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Brendon Riley and Emily Huddell on this project and the feedback process was great!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have not launched the new video on the site just yet, but this really helps our customers understand who we are as a service and it reveals how truly easy our service is to use. That was the main point of this video.

They communicate very well and keep me on track more than anything! They are very professional and keep to their timelines which can always change depending on my asks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always provide professional grade videos and photos all the time. We never have to worry about the quality of their production that they provide to us and they take the stress off of my plate when handling everything.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I think they do a great job in providing as much information about projects and the fact that we use them for all of our production needs speaks to the trust we have gained with them as we continue the projects with them in the future.

I’m Head of Sales and Brand marketing for one of our company’s top brands. I am involved in all aspects of brand development from product sourcing and materials creation to sales and marketing strategies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Defy, and what were your goals?

Our brand had been in the marketplace for several years, but we wanted to solidify our brand DNA and to build a digital ‘home’ for the brand and to capture its strong identity. We knew who we were but needed a strong creative agency to help us launch in a larger way into the marketplace.

Our scope of work with Defy (2one5) at the time involved branding, web design, video production, marketing, influencer/ambassador development and more.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

From the initial RFQ, Nik and his crew came forth with a high level of creativity and enthusiasm and took huge interest in the project. Their approach captured my imagination as they ‘put the brand on’ and lived in it throughout the project.

Their prior video and creative work, in addition to website development were key deciding factors over the other agencies bidding for the business.

An framework was set to develop a number of videos based around individual products, product groupings, an over-arching brand video, and subsequently, individual ambassador videos. Nik’s team laid out storyboards, and we worked together on scripts.

Actors and locations were presented and Defy helped to pull stories out of products as well as from our brand ambassadors. Regular meetings, idea sessions were scheduled and projects were managed in collaboration software.

Goals and deadlines were set and met and our teams challenged each other to deliver the project. Highly creative, highly collaborative. For the web work wireframes were used and functionality discussed. Defy also provided rich web content and product images that made the brand look amazing.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked directly with a project manager who kept us on task as we set benchmarks for deliverables together. We used Basecamp at the time as a project management platform, and videos were delivered in Vimeo allowing us to collaborate internally and comment at each point.

Process was interactive and moved the project along nicely.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We used Defy’s (2one5) work to show off to customers, investors/financial partners, at major Tradeshow events and across all of our social media channels; really to the world. The work was outstanding and visioned far above what we budgeted and elevated the brand in an amazing way.

Our project manager was professional and surely a task manager that kept us on track. Even when there was a personnel change, our new project manager dove right in. Despite some differences in style and personality I never felt compromised.

The agency seemed to operate as a living organism with its own pulse so once culture was adopted, even with brand new players, the work and communication flowed well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Creative monsters driven by a strong leader! I loved the energy of the group and they always dug deep to understand our brand and products. They truly became an integral part of our team and extension of the brand and defended the brand identity in all of their work.

Even when we moved in another direction with our video content and website I always felt that Nik was there to help guide our direction. They cared about what they helped build.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At a few points we had changes in project managers/personnel assigned to our account, but never felt like there was any lag in performance or attention to our project. Some may have taken a little longer to get up to speed than others but we didn’t suffer with deadlines or performance.

We needed a new website to help promote creative opportunities at our campus in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with Defy before and were impressed with both their creativity and attention to detail. We appreciate the responsiveness and dedication of the team.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

With Defy, we developed a new sub-brand for our campus to market the Life Sciences opportunities available for tenants. This included coming up with an overarching brand that was incorporated into both hard copy marketing materials as well as a whole new marketing website for the campus.

This project built off previous work that Defy had done for us establishing the baseline Arborcrest brand that has been used across tenant communications, marketing materials, and branding installations across the property.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In total, we probably worked with 6-8 members of the Defy team from the start of the creative process to the launch of the website.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There has been continued interest in the life sciences opportunities at Arbrocrest and we have a lead on a new major tenant that would be partially attributable to the new marketing campaign.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Extremely effective. Defy was very organized which made our meetings organized and next steps clearly defined.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the broad range of capabilities was most impressive. Whenever we wanted to do a new style of logo, a new type of marketing, a new web page, or an edit to the user interface, Defy had the in house capabilities to deliver us exactly what we were looking for.

EvoShield is a market leader in protection in a variety of sports. Notably EvoShield is the official catcher's gear and protective gear of Major League Baseball, and outfits all 30 major league teams, hundreds of colleges and countless youth teams across the country in baseball and softball gear / uniforms / apparel.

For what projects/services did your company hire Defy, and what were your goals?

Defy is now the EvoShield Agency of Record, and we are utilizing Defy for all of our web needs as well as other special projects including photo/video. They're now our agency down the hall. This cyber week project specifically our goals were to get as many eyeballs on our website as possible during a very highly trafficked time.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected this vendor after a long search for an agency who would be our partner but also shared similar values in disrupting the norm in an industry (baseball) that's been lead by the same players recycling the same information for years and years.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Scope was to create assets and deliverables for our Cyber Week Campaign. This included organic social, paid social, 3 separate newsletter sends, web assets for homepage, and a few different promo grid assets.

We had many people work with us, including the founder Nik, Account Manager Alisa, Program Manager Emily, and a host of other designers and copywriters.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We saw a big CVR% increase from 2020 and also our AOV was significantly higher.

We have weekly meetings to check in on progress, and I was very satisfied with the ability of the PM to get things done quickly and across my desk in a manner that made it easy to understand and to respond. They were took in information well and gave back exactly what we needed with their own spin on the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I love how communicative they are and how on the ball they are already with the consumer that i am trying to reach.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None right now.
