A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the business development director for SGK, focusing on brand experience in Europe. We’re a large global agency that offers services that fall into two categories: brand experience and packaging design.
What challenge were you trying to address with DeepInspire?
We were venturing into next-level digital transformation for a client of ours who was looking to ramp up their B2B sales funnel. We were looking for ways to understand and tell their story a little bit differently and in a much more engaging way, across all of their customer touchpoints. These touchpoints included conferences, a website, sales tools for their sales team, and more. Thus, we needed a partner that could help us ideate, innovate, and deliver solutions from a technical standpoint.
What was the scope of their involvement?
DeepInspire has provided all their technical expertise to help us create a highly immersive 3D world for our client to tell the story of their products’ ecosystem. Although we already had designs and graphics, DeepInspire has implemented the solution on the backend to make everything work. We’ve also tied it into a physical experience, recreating a conference booth, for instance.
When we started this project, we already had a working version of it developed by another agency. It used prerendered videos to play and had many layers on top of those videos with elements to interact with. As it was a managed environment, that product worked well for the first version. However, we had a lot of problems when using it online because it wasn’t scalable and didn’t work in different browsers or platforms.
Thus, DeepInspire’s involvement has been focused on redesigning and redeveloping that entire system to make it work on all of the web-enabled technologies, including the different browsers and mobile devices, making it responsive to every screen resolution. They’ve also integrated it into its own hardware and its platform’s backend because we have to manage and track users throughout the entire customer journey sales cycle. Additionally, they’ve tied it into Salesforce, Pardot, Highspot, and Vidyard.
We wanted to use the original design and wireframes from the first agency. However, when DeepInspire got involved, they did a complete review of its UI/UX design and highlighted several key issues where improvements could be made. For example, they pinpointed certain visual elements that required different transparency levels because they interfered with texts, as well as certain screens where the background animation was so saturated that it interfered with the content in front.
To this day, ours is an ongoing project, and we have another deliverable coming up in June 2022. Currently, we’re taking the way this system interacts with people to a slightly higher level for a second version, and we’re starting to create a roadmap with the client of what version three will look like, which will be a much bigger step.
Our current version touches custom content based on our client’s needs, and version three will be 100% focused on identifying pain points, personas, and roles within the company, as well as on creating storylines that walk users through this environment. In a more general sense, we’re looking at all kinds of technologies and improvements that we can do for our client’s system. We have quite a long development roadmap ahead.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with the CEO, the project manager, the head of UI design, and at least four developers.
How did you come to work with DeepInspire?
I knew DeepInspire from a previous agency, and they had a good reputation. As our previous engagement with the other development company didn’t work well, we were behind schedule when we reached out to DeepInspire. We basically had one opportunity to get this right; we couldn’t afford to mess things up again. Thus, it was very important that we made the right decision when selecting a partner because we weren’t going to get a second chance at this project.
Apart from them, we were looking at another agency in Germany, but they were much smaller than DeepInspire. We didn’t choose the smaller agency because we were heavily dependent on them delivering something that the previous agency couldn’t deliver on and doing it in a very short time frame. Now, I’m delighted to say that DeepInspire excelled at both. It was a great decision to go with them.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent about £400,000 (approximately $520,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
With DeepInspire’s help, we’ve turned a very complicated situation into an extremely positive experience. Now, we’re quickly going towards the second version of this system while planning the third version. Additionally, our client loves them, and they’ve continued to invest in this project since the first deliverable, staying very active in the overall relationship.
So far, we don’t have any metrics around reach or sales, mostly because this product is for our client, who works in a very specific industry. Additionally, the product hasn’t gone public yet, and it will be unveiled at a conference in June 2022.
How did DeepInspire perform from a project management standpoint?
DeepInspire’s project management is really good. We’ve leaned heavily on the project manager to work through the project, especially around the integration of the different platforms. Their approach has been very good, and they’ve always kept our internal account manager on top of things through continuous iteration. Additionally, they’ve ensured that we get what we need from the client.
DeepInspire uses Jira for project management, where we track their hours. We communicate many times a week and have a weekly stand-up meeting with the client. We’ve also had multiple other meetings during the week, especially during the first two months, to get things done quickly and make sure that we were aligned. Overall, they’re a pretty close-knit group.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Everyone from our team has been highly impressed by what DeepInspire has brought to the table regarding their work focus, their attention to detail, and the way that they address problems and solutions. They constantly do small things that we don’t necessarily ask for and without needing to be asked.
For example, there are multiple different forms of media in the system that have different sounds, and they’ve set up the system prioritizing the sound effects or noises. If the user opens a video, it automatically blocks out the background noise and lets them listen to the video. As soon as they close it, the background sound effects come back into place.
Similar to that example, they’ve brought different elements to the table, most of which sound like really simple tweaks, but when added together, they’ve made the overall final product exceptional. They’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty and checked all of the boxes.
Generally speaking, it was impressive that DeepInspire has got the job done whereas the other agency didn’t. The quality of their work has been exceptionally good, and even a non-developer like me can tell that their code is much more structured and organized than the code delivered by the other agency — it is a totally different quality of work.
In addition to those qualities, DeepInspire has been very proactive and willing to join our conversation from an innovation point of view, putting their money where their mouth is. For example, we’re currently implementing a costly new functionality that, initially, they weren’t sure about being able to develop. However, they decided to develop a proof of concept, creating a working prototype with their own money. When they were sure that they could develop the functionality, they showed the prototype to me and to the client to move forward into its development.
The other agency was always trying to limit the goal, downplaying the client and looking to deliver the minimum possible product. However, since DeepInspire came onboard, that role has been completely reversed, and we’re now constantly pushing the client to do more improvements and think bigger. DeepInspire helps us a lot with that, and our confidence has improved significantly because they always step up and deliver.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only challenging part of working with DeepInspire is that they work on a resource-based model. We pay them for a certain number of team members each month while the work with our client is more project-based. This situation initially caused some misalignment internally that we had to work around.
However, this issue wasn’t DeepInspire’s fault, and we could realign with them. Ultimately, we convinced the client to switch to a retainer-based model, which helped us remedy that challenge. Besides that, we haven’t faced any other challenges, and overall, we’ve knocked it out of the park.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them and utilize their expertise. For us, they’ve become a trusted solutions provider, and their proactiveness has worked very well for us.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Match Financial Technologies. We provide commodity trading platforms. It’s my responsibility to ensure that customer and development requirements for the platform are met.
What challenge were you trying to address with DeepInspire?
We had an MVP that was running into one or two issues around how it was built and developed. It was very monolithic and there were some concerns around performance and maintainability. We needed to make changes to the existing backend because it was becoming cumbersome and introducing a lot of regression errors.
What was the scope of their involvement?
DeepInspire introduced the idea of completely refactoring the solution. They did a discovery engagement where they analyzed what we had. The backend was in Node.js with a MongoDB database. Then they came back to us with some recommendations.
I was agnostic in terms of which technology and language we used. They decided to rewrite the solution in C# or .NET and move it onto a transactional system. We then went into the development cycle. It was an intense process that was done in a short period of time, about 3–4 months.
What is the team composition?
We had a backend developer, project manager, and QA specialist. We also ended up supplementing the team and bringing on additional resources.
How did you come to work with DeepInspire?
It was a chance encounter between one of our co-founders and one of DeepInspire’s business developers. We had a brief meeting and could see they were trying to understand our problem rather than just taking instructions.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about $60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement was from March–September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They delivered everything that was promised with a coverage and comprehensiveness that we hadn’t experienced before. DeepInspire is the best development team I’ve ever worked with and I’ve been in development for 30 years now. I have nothing but high praise. Everything was covered and well-documented in terms of the business, specifications, and implementations.
We switched the backend in September and haven’t had a single instance of downtime since it went live. The quality is there, and we have a 110-page specification document. Their coding, testing, release management, and business aspects were very good.
I was struck by their immediate understanding of our challenges and issues before they even dived into the code. They made a huge effort to understand exactly how the code worked and what our customers were looking for. Because of this, I’ve engaged with DeepInspire on different projects at a different company since then. They continue to impress me even more.
How did DeepInspire perform from a project management standpoint?
They utilized an agile method for project management. We worked in sprints and all the user stories and tasks were logged in Jira. We had a deployment in GitHub, and they were very strict to run around that development and code check-in point of view. Each of our weekly and monthly status calls was followed up by a very comprehensive email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their commitment to understanding the problem and implementing the project. They made sure we had complete updates. They never hesitated to ping me and ask for a quick catch-up. DeepInspire is a very professional organization.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I make sure to check that we’re not overengineering. That’s the only thing I’m guarding against because I’m confident in everything else.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I have no hesitation to recommend them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We provide Financial Wellbeing Services to company employees, to help them understand finances and make the most of their salary. I am a Co-Founder of the business.
For what projects/services did your company hire DeepInspire?
DeepInspire has worked with us from virtually the start. They have taken our ideas and ensured that all development has been fully document, complies with regulations, is user friendly and secure. They have been a trusted partner every step of the way.
What were your goals for this project?
The solution had to be flexible and future proof as the business developed in line with our customers expectations. This required amending goals, shortening some deadlines and delivering in stages so that a balance between commercial realities and quality was maintained without compromising the business.
How did you select this vendor?
We talked to three different companies. At the end of the day we selected DeepInspire because of the team. All vendors had the necessary technical skills but DeepInspire were able to bring a commercial perspective and a level of trust that the others could not. They work like a partner rather than a supplier. They are as equally invested in our success as we are.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They designed, developed and configured a back end system as well as Apps in Apple Store and Android. These have also been integrated into our banking and accounting modules. They have also developed a reporting integration for us and our clients. We had initial meetings to discuss requirements. These were documented in detail and after an initial discovery phase a MVP was developed. Since then we have been working in three weekly sprints expanding the product range, security and automation. They run weekly update meetings with us and provide full documentation of progress.
What was the team composition?
The project team had about fifteen individuals with varying degrees of time spent on the project. There has been a consistent full time project manager plus a lead architect and lead developer throughout the project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Thanks to their approach and the care taken to ensure our systems were built in a robust manner, we were able to launch with a PLC and on-board 10,000 employees over the course of two weeks without issue. Our client was super impressed with the DeepInspire team which reflects well on us. Since launching there have been a couple of minor bugs, but far less than one would expect. As soon as they are discovered DeepInspire immediately address it and our clients have no idea.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Project Management has been central to the success of this engagement. Through Google Hangouts, Jira and MS Teams we always know exactly were the project is. But it has been their ability to understand the commercial realities of the demands being made and pivot the project whilst keeping the overall picture on-track that has been critical to the success. We would also have a 6 weekly face to face meeting in London with the lead architect.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Our level of trust in them allows us to step back and let them run the project and even deal with our clients. When a service provider genuinely has your companies best interest at heart then anything is possible. DeepInspire lives that.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is very little I could say. My only criticism would be that I wish I had spent some time at their offices with the complete team early on in the discovery phase. This may have moved certain elements of the development faster and allowed them to push back earlier on some unrealistic deadlines.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m president and CEO of Prospect-id. Our organization produces an app that validates government-issued identification in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
What challenge were you trying to address with DeepInspire?
We hired DeepInspire to develop the native app for both Android and iOS platforms.
What was the scope of their involvement?
DeepInspire did a lot of research and development in the beginning. They took the time to help us analyze the market, our potential competitors, and opportunities beyond the original scope of our thoughts. They participated in understanding the concept of the product and how our clients would eventually use the product. Then they proceeded to the UX stage where they created several wireframes and a prototype.
I hadn’t developed an app before so I was surprised at how the process evolved. DeepInspire worked continuously to bring the app to fruition. They helped us release them in the App Store and Play Store. They also developed the administrative panel and web application so we can set up our clients with usernames and passwords. It allows us to manage use of the app and help them through any problems that may arise.
What is the team composition?
My main points of contact were Pavlo (CTO, DeepInspire) and Natalya (partner, DeepInspire). The team consisted of a project manager, a UX designer, a UI designer, an Android developer, an iOS developer, two backend developers, and two frontend developers.
How did you come to work with DeepInspire?
My partner had worked with them in his previous business. We interviewed DeepInspire and checked references even though he was familiar with them and their work. We liked their problem solving approach and their willingness to listen to what we wanted. It felt comfortable so we chose them to be our developer.
How much have you invested with them?
We probably spent between $50,000–$75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The original project was from March–November 2017. We continue to work together to make improvements and add on to the app.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our business revolves around this app so we’re quite appreciative of their work. The reaction to the app’s design has been very positive. We have only one direct competitor here in the US. When we were looking for investors, we were told by a big firm that our app was smoother, more modern, and much less glitchy than that of our competitor. We're very proud of that and give kudos to DeepInspire.
Other partners have commented on how nice the app is in terms of its smooth, flawless transactions. It’s obviously important that the customers like it and they do. However, it’s really nice to hear from other developers that the technical side is really good. I don't think anyone could have developed anything better.
How did DeepInspire perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team was excellent and the project management was top notch. They communicated all of the time. We had a phone call every week during development. DeepInspire asked great questions that I didn't even think about. They really thought about exactly how the customer would use the app. They came up with the idea of putting in a Q&A section to help overcome issues when the customer experienced problems.
What did you find most impressive about them?
DeepInspire had the ability to understand our concept at a deep level. They helped us figure out all aspects so that the end user wouldn’t have any problems using the product. I can say so many good things about them. We're just so pleased with this company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there's nothing I can think of. I wish they were local so we could meet in person, but we did video calls and Google Hangouts that made it feel like they're right there in the room. They’re good, honest people and I trust them wholeheartedly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Articulate exactly what you want and how you intend to use the product. They couldn’t have developed such a great product without us being forthright with them from the beginning. Share all of the details of your project up front so that DeepInspire can make good decisions in the development stages.

“The user interface is stunning. From that perspective alone, their involvement is well worth it.”

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m one of four partners for a startup company. We have a long trajectory, and we've consulted with a great number of companies throughout our existence.
What challenge were you trying to address with DeepInspire?
We're building a mobile app. Our expertise is in backend systems, and we needed someone to help us with the frontend for iOS.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The entire project started as an idea. It's taken a long time to work through all the variables, both on the backend and on the frontend. We sat down with DeepInspire and discussed what we were trying to achieve. They came up with great ideas for how we could implement everything within a mobile app. We contracted them to provide screenshots and all the UI/UX elements for the design. We liked what we saw in the early stages and proceeded from there.
They controlled the entire mobile app initiative themselves. The integration between what they achieved in the app and what we presented as our backend interface was very complex. It involved a deep understanding of what was going on, and they did an excellent job.
What is the team composition?
We had a project manager. We're about three years into our collaboration, and we've changed the priorities as we evolved the project. We've worked with three project managers, all of whom were extraordinarily patient. They took time to show us exactly what they were doing and what they had in mind.
How did you come to work with DeepInspire?
Our CEO found them. We spoke with them and worked out a deal.
How much have you invested with them?
I would estimate we've spent between $28,000-$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together sometime in the first half of 2016, and the collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
This was an exceptionally difficult concept with complicated implementation. They’ve done an excellent job integrating everything and bringing the project to fruition. We've faced challenges along the way, but they've always figured them out. The user interface is stunning. From that perspective alone, their involvement is well worth it. We've had zero defect reports, and users who download the app provide positive feedback. The application is still rudimentary—and we're still building out capabilities—but it's a unique app in the market, and we're very happy with the results.
How did DeepInspire perform from a project management standpoint?
They're excellent communicators. They set up regular meetings with us before we even had to think about it, and they follow up to make sure things are happening as we want them to. They also communicate any difficulties or discrepancies. We provided them with the data interactions we wanted to see, and they turned that into a mobile app. They presented their design elements to us and we could talk about them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very honest about how things are going, about problems that need to be resolved, and where they are in the process. They're also very personable. They do what they say they will and are committed to keeping communication channels open.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The nature of our project is very stop-and-go. They do a lot of work, and then we do a lot on the backend to make sure everything is up to date. A challenge was finding a developer that was willing to work within that kind of environment, with very busy periods of work followed by months of downtime. It would be nice to have a full-time, committed developer, but that is out of our budget at this time. I don't have any complaints about their work.
The company is happy with DeepInspire's work. The updated UI and user flows have been good, and the team communicates consistently with the client. They're always accessible to the firm, allowing them to earn the trust of key stakeholders. They accomplish tasks quickly and meet all requirements.
