Discovery The discovery session that we had will be extended to one more meeting to define the final scope and detailed flow for each user type in the system. The main components of the application are: 

• Home Splash Screen, User Login, Registration, Forgotten Password. 
• Member dashboard + learning profile screens with all details on the user journey and history of his purchases and actions 
• Main screen for the tasting experience screen 
• Discount codes, referral program (invite via code) and social community feed will be added to the app accordingly with proposed designs 
• A CRM database section for storing information on reports, users, and system dependencies (algorithms for app performance) 
• An admin panel will contain: space for content management, space for users' management, a dashboard section with stats on the number of users, purchases, the most active users, etc 
• The application will be responsively designed, so capable of being viewed on Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile. 
• The application will be multi-tenanted. 
• A simple stripe payment gateway will be included to receive payments from the users on different subscription plans. 

The branding and graphic design work will be provided by the Decodifi. 

Design and Build Phases We will split the work in building the app into two distinct phases: 

• Phase 1: To create and convert all customer journeys and designs into a full set of screen designs and layouts, with full functionality specified for each element. Estimated 1 week 
• Phase 2: A full build of the application, API connections, Screens and functionality. Estimated 5-7 weeks

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Successful migration of users from our existing infrastructure onto the new website with minimal bugs and glitches 
• We saw positive customer feedback, an increase in usage, and an increase in retention rates

The team responded very well to our needs - they could quickly outline what was feasible, what the options were and a recommended course of action. They really understood the purpose of what we were trying to build so could contextualise the requests accordingly and understand what was important and higher priority vs. what was less important 

The time management was a little more variable - the whole project took longer than initially anticipated but there are very reasonable mitigating factors for that. Some time estimates were overly optimistic during the project, but when a firm deadline was set the team met this.

The commitment to get it right, the genuine interest and passion for what we were trying to achieve, and the positive culture of the team

Providing realistic (or perhaps even pessimistic) time estimates in relation to delays or changes to the schedule would have been helpful, e.g. having an understanding of how different issues were affecting the overall project timelines 

Having a really clear and easy to use system for providing feedback on designs and user testing would also have made a difference - at times it became hard to keep track of feedback and the udpates being actioned as a result, so sometimes I didn't have full confidence that everything had been addressed and nothing had been missed

A colleague knew the company and felt they were very good and good value for money.

Mock screens were created on Figma. Bubble and BDK were used to develop the app. WhatsApp and Telegram and Google meet were used to communicate.

A project manager worked extensively with us. A developer performed the development assisted at times by other developers. A designer did the design work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's early days as the app has only been live for a few weeks but we have already had over 100 downloads and generally users have been impressed by the UX, design and layout of the app.

The project manager was really a delight to work with and very responsive. Using Telegram and WhatsApp meant that she was very fast and responsive. Bugs were identified, shared and dealt with very quickly, but for myself as a product owner as well as from users themselves.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think how responsive both the project manager and the developer were and how they were all committed to the mission of the app. In my experience, sometimes companies will pretend to care about the mission in order to sell their services, but this company really does care about creating a quality product and supporting parents and children.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think it could be helpful to revisit the overall timeline every so often and to plan dependencies for launch such as marketing materials.

I had an idea for a new app and wanted to create a very quick MVP to validate the market need for the product. I wanted them to create a Bubble.io app with a short turnaround time (3 weeks) and with minimal budget as this was just proof of concept stage.

Decodifi had been personally recommended to be through WOM and I trusted that I was in good hands. After the initial introductory meeting and scoping session I felt the team understood my product idea and suggested the best solution that met my time and budget constraints.

The Decodifi team were building an early stage MVP of a bubble.io app that allowed users to register and create an account, create a bespoke email address and then receive incoming emails which auto-filed into relevant folders at the front end. In the back end they used Servoy for the database management and logic allowing the system to perform more technical aspects of the product.

We worked with 3 people from the tea. One person to help with the UI design and branding in the product, the CEO David, who helped us with our scoping and strategy as well as a lot of the product build and then we also worked with the CTO for some of the more complex technical aspects in the backend of the product.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have just launched our MVP product to some early stage beta testers and we are awaiting initial feedback. The deliverables were released on time and in budget.

The team communicated well over Slack as well as having a scoping meeting face to face.

The team have a very good understanding of the startup landscape. The experience of working with both investors and founders is invaluable. They offered great advice to help us follow an accurate lean startup methodology and validate our business ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that I can think of that are applicable to the service I received for this early stage in my business.

We have a sales process that we use to help Identify a prospects Needs and Wants and then align with potential solutions. We found that our Reps were never following the process correctly. We wanted to give them a stronger framework to support them and take away the need to memorize questions and the order they make sense. Therefore we decided an app would be a structured way to keep the conversation flowing in the right direction. This way no important information is over looked and questions are not missed. Key facts are always gathered.

I interviewed 5 vendors and was impressed with the idea's that were offered to me. I went as far as getting a deeper dive meting that lead to a brief and was confident they could solve our needs.

Great communication all the way through. Its hard to describe the steps as they worked so fast. The turn around time was about 8 working days. It was incredibly fast.

We are just finished the project and I am excited to launch it with my team and others. The feedback is very positive. Very professional team and the work is top class. Not problem making changes or re-iterations. Very flexible team.

All our clients have really loved using the features Decodifi built. They went above and beyond our initial brief, and we’re already reaping the benefits.

How did Decodifi Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good at meeting deadlines and sticking to the schedule and budget. We did all the presentations via Zoom and the rest of our communication via email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Decodifi’s ability to innovate and continuously add additional features that suited what we wanted to do. They asked us further questions and built elements on top of the brief without increasing the cost.

I can’t think of anything they needed to improve; they were really good.

Set out clear objectives of the app. The app was then designed based on our brand fonts and colours in figma. From there the app was developed in bubble.

Based on the testing of the bubble app with target customers all customers have agreed to use the app from September where we anticipate 1,000 weekly active users.

Communication was done mostly via WhatsApp. We also had regular video calls on Google meet. Feedback was done through a Google document.

The time they were able to deliver the project and the quality at which it was done to. I’ve had apps developed in the past that have been very buggy initially. This certainly wasn’t the case.

We used Bubble.io's marketplace of agencies. Many agencies responded to our RFQ. We liked the direct nature of Decodifi and they instilled trust. After selecting 3 companies for a deeper dive, we picked Decodifi based on the reasonable quote, friendly demeanor and trust.
