Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the owner and founder of CMJ Media, a company that provides marketing and branding support. We do web design, digital media, and advertising for our clients, who are typically rural telephone or broadband providers throughout the U.S.

What challenge were you trying to address with Deal Design, Inc.?

We’ve begun to focus more on digital marketing for our clients, and we needed a partner dedicated to brand identity and logo development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deal Design mainly works on my clients’ projects. They work on the look and feel of the brand and position it in the best way to the public. They also do advertising and marketing campaigns, which generally involve print media, direct mail, billboards, newspaper ads, brochures, and other collateral.

Deal Design first makes sure they understand our client and the product or service they offer. They then tailor the design based on the client’s target audience and market. The end product varies depending on the geographic market they’re in.

What is the team composition?

I usually work with a team of 2–3 people. The project manager is my main point of contact, then there’s the graphic designers and content development specialist.

How did you come to work with Deal Design, Inc.?

We just ran into one another and began talking about our businesses one day.

We’ve worked together since 2004.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They deliver outstanding products that are fine-tuned and represent the product and effectively reach the target market. Our clients have been highly impressed with their work. I haven’t lost a single client since working with Deal.

One of our clients was applying to a national broadband provider award for making smart cities that relied on apps and other technology. They were putting together a big report and were having challenges with design, layout, and graphs. Deal put something together for them, and they won the competition.
