I’m the head of marketing at a real estate agency in Switzerland. We focus on selling homes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Data Never Lies?
We needed assistance with data visualization and reporting, as well as building the necessary infrastructure for data transmission.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Data Never Lies has been helping us with data consulting. They’ve built reports, especially for the marketing team, so we can better understand where our leads come from and attribute them correctly, whether it's Google or Facebook. They’ve also been helping us visualize our dashboards in accordance with our questions so we can arrive at the necessary answers.
Our data architecture is quite complex, and our team is quite small. We haven’t understood our data architecture, which has meant that a lot of our reporting has been inaccurate. Data Never Lies has been responsible for assessing the status quo, identifying the problems in our data architecture, and helping us fix them so we can have reliable and accurate reporting and can also plan our marketing strategies much better.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t track many metrics, but as long as they do the data visualizations and architecture work on time and with the quality we expect, that’s good enough for us. Our company doesn’t have data experts, so it’s hard for us to judge their work. So far, we’ve been working well with them.
How did Data Never Lies perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re very happy with the way they work. They have a Notion dashboard where we can assign tasks to them. They update the status of the tasks, and we can see where they’re at. We have a call once a week to exchange information about what has been happening during the week. If there are any challenges or potential delays, they let us know.
One thing to bear in mind is that oftentimes, it’s ourselves that is causing the delay. We don’t have many resources ourselves, so whenever they need help from the IT team, we can’t always provide it. That also creates delays, but it’s not necessarily their fault. We use Slack and Notion for communication and project management. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

One of their challenges in working with us is that we don’t have data expertise on our side. They could improve their communication because data is a complex topic. They could make it a little more user-friendly for non-domain experts. We don’t always understand all the intricacies involved with data.

I advise potential customers to have a clear, understandable brief because that’s what they need to do their work. They also need to provide them with enough information about their company and any challenges they might experience. That helps them contextualize the work they’re doing.
Ideally, the company hiring them has some data expertise on the team. That makes it easier to get more out of them. If they don’t have that, it’s still okay because they know what they’re doing and are very reliable.

Additionally, we required a detailed breakdown of agent and office performance, tracking fee income, transaction progress, offer acceptance rates, and lead-to-sale conversions. The integration also captures critical activity metrics such as viewings booked vs. attended, follow-ups, applicant engagement, and vendor interactions, allowing for better resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
Finally, we tasked the team with optimizing lead management through advanced analytics on lead generation, source performance, buyer and seller demographics, and conversion rates.
