Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Engineering Manager at a Digital Health Company.
For what projects/services did your company hire CyberVision, Inc., and what were your goals?
We had a new, confidential project involving complex full stack software and web development that we needed to be built well and quickly.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We interviewed a number of other vendors, but CyberVision came across as far more qualified than the other teams. They asked intelligent questions, had qualified developers with strong resumes, and focused on the engineering challenges instead of sales pitches.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Much of the development was and continues to be confidential. But, the majority of the work was done in Java, Node.js, HTML/CSS and PostgreSQL and involved front end work on web applications and back end work on custom software systems.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our team averaged about 4-6 developers throughout the project. We had more back end work than front end, and some infrastructure work as well. The team was usually mostly back end developers with some front end and infrastructure developers added as needed.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project remains confidential, but I have been working with CyberVision for nearly 6 months and I have been impressed with their knowledge, development speed, attitude, and willingness to share their knowledge/advise as needed.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They have a strong project management approach, provided regular progress reports, and even showcased the latest updates each week.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a great engineering team that works hard to deliver mission-critical software for our company quicker and better than their competition.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No immediate areas for improvement come to mind.

Staff Augmentation for Medical Device Company
“I’m impressed with the speed at which CyberVision, Inc. delivers without sacrificing the quality of their work.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior engineering manager at a medical device company.
What challenge were you trying to address with CyberVision, Inc.?
The previous company that I worked for was a medical startup, and we lacked the necessary resources we needed for our IoT projects. We needed an IoT solutions provider who could help us with our medical informatics project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We hired CyberVision, Inc. to augment our development team with their engineering resources. Their team assists us by utilizing their Cloud technologies, data processing, and data platform expertise.
For my previous company, I worked with them on a few different projects for which we didn’t have enough resources. We’re working on a data collection module for the company I’m currently working for. The module is a custom solution used to process and harvest data, and it’s based on CyberVision, Inc.’s IoT platform.
What is the team composition?
We usually work with 3–4 engineers from CyberVision, Inc. at a time.
How did you come to work with CyberVision, Inc.?
When we were looking for IoT solutions providers, I stumbled upon CyberVision, Inc.’s IoT platform, which I thought would be a good fit for our medical informatics platform.
I reached out to them and we met at an IoT conference, where I explained to them what the project was. Within a day, they were able to send a proof of concept. We were really impressed that they were able to quickly do that for us, so we decided to go with them.
Based on my great experience working with them, it just feels natural to go with them for other projects.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $1,000,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
I’ve actually engaged with CyberVision, Inc. two times across two different companies. We started working together on the first project in September 2014, and I still work with them now.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We didn’t have any official quantitative metrics because I didn’t think they were really necessary due to the fact that I’ve always worked with CyberVision, Inc. directly.
I’d say that the main metric that we have is whether or not we finish the projects on time, which they’ve always done consistently. We were able to build the first version of the medical informatics product within three months, which would have taken us a lot longer had we not worked with them.
If we need another engineer for a project, they would only take a few days to send us resumes. As a result, we are able to staff up and down and switch up people very quickly. Overall, I’m very happy with the work they’ve delivered as well as the dynamic of working with them.
How did CyberVision, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
CyberVision, Inc. has been extremely hands-on, and we’ve established a very tight integration across all of our tasks. Their tight-knit team works as effectively as if they’re on-site — they basically feel like a part of our development team, especially after working with them on a daily basis for so long.
I’m a very technical person myself — I can somewhat sense when things are moving and, most of the time, things move very quickly when working with them. Whenever we run a sprint or release a run, they’re always on the board working remotely to support us.
We use Jira as a project management tool, as well as an internal issue tracking system. We primarily communicate through Skype or Zoom, wherein we also conduct our daily stand-ups.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with the speed at which CyberVision, Inc. delivers without sacrificing the quality of their work. The quality of work that they’ve delivered so far was definitely very high, and I think that comes from their deep expertise in the areas the projects were focused on.
They’re also able to help find people with the right skill sets very quickly, which is very impressive considering how hard that is to do at this price point.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There was this one time when CyberVision, Inc. had a slight turnover issue in terms of providing the right person for a project, but they were able to handle that pretty well.
There were also times when I felt like they were somewhat overstretched. Overall, they have been fairly consistent and reasonable outside of those few instances of people not being the right fit for the type of project that we were working on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to define the project very well and to stay hands-on with them throughout the project. It would also be a good idea to get one of their senior engineers on the project early and develop a good relationship with them, especially if you’re working on customizations for your IoT platform. You’d obviously have to pay a little bit more, but you’d get much better results.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was a project manager for DGWorld, an IT and robotics company.
What challenge were you trying to address with CyberVision, Inc.?
We needed someone to provide us with UI/UX design and software integration.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a project called Smart Vehicle Inspection where CyberVision, Inc. helped us design a robotic solution to inspect vehicles before being registered. The design of the software came from our end, while they provided us with the full integration of the UI into the system.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a business analyst during the discovery phase and added two software development engineers in the integration phase.
How did you come to work with CyberVision, Inc.?
We met them during an annual exhibition where they offered their services to us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $140,000 USD.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June–August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve done a wonderful job delivering the final product. We had a very limited number of engineers in-house, but they were able to help us speed up the process and add value to the development of the project.
How did CyberVision, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated through email and had daily meetings on the phone and in Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were very impressed with the quality of their work. They’ve done exactly what was right for the project, and implemented the changes we needed to make that were outside of the scope.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’ve only worked with them once, so I can’t think of anything they could improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to give them the exact details of the scope of the project and how you want them to accomplish it.
CyberVision, Inc. continues to impress the client with their extensive development knowledge, quick turnaround time, and ability to provide valuable recommendations and guidance. The team excels at project management, providing regular progress reports and updates to ensure a smooth workflow.
