We needed a better presence on the internet. When people Google words like “foot and ankle surgery,” I wanted them to have an easy way to find me and my services. They offered me the opportunity to put a website together to detail my location and services to customers.

They designed a custom WordPress website from scratch and helped create logos and graphics for the practice. In addition to the website and graphics, they handled some marketing, organic SEO, and advertising as well. They packaged all their deliverables in a comprehensive, uniform way. When people search for terms like ankle surgery, ankle replacement, or bunion surgery, they’ll now be able to find my website. That site and brand will lead interested customers to my service. 

In the design process, they asked for my general thoughts and preferences on colors and themes. They reached out to a third-party service that has graphic designers from all over the world submitting potential designs, almost like a contest. We were able to log in through the service’s web platform to review and rank everyone’s designs. The graphic design that gets chosen receives an award for being chosen. Cutting Edge Digital Marketing does branding and design work, but I was happy to see them bring in other parties when they felt that would be best.

I first read some reviews on Clutch and decided to look further into their services on their team website. Eventually, I reached out to Chris for an initial phone conversation. During that time, I was also considering other local companies. We asked companies for proposed timeframes and pricing. Because Chris had background experience in doing web design for medical professionals, his services were immediately attractive. I like their team’s work and ideas. While their pricing wasn’t cheap, it was a bit more affordable than other companies I reached out to as well. It seemed like a perfect fit.

Since we’ve launched the website, our company has been so busy that we haven’t even bothered checking their lead tracking tools. Family, friends, and colleagues have all given the site and logo positive feedback. The site is clean, functions well, and is mobile-friendly. The site functions flawlessly every day. 

How did Cutting Edge Digital Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

It took longer than I expected to launch the website, but I understand that good things take time. It only took about 5 months to launch the site in the end, so it was a reasonable timeline. We communicated through phone calls, emails, texts, and in-person meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a smaller company that can provide instant back-and-forth communication about issues. There’s no chain of command or instances where I get put on hold when I call them. I was always able to bring my questions straight to the source to get action pretty quickly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve been happy because they’ve catered to all my needs in a timely manner. If anything, their communications organization could be improved slightly. At times, we were receiving too many emails or texts that would confuse where we were with our progress.

Be willing to guide the product in terms of color, design, and more. They’re not mind readers, so communicating what you want is very important. You have to be active in this process.

I brought them on for my practice. Our previous website was very outdated, slow, and antiquated. The group I worked with to design the site wasn’t very responsive to some of my questions. I decided to start reaching out to other vendors. I also wanted to update the site so I could acquire more patients from outside sources like Google.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Cutting Edge Digital Marketing completely revamped my site. They focused on making it more user-friendly and mobile-friendly. About 90% of the patients who find us are using a mobile device. They worked on the website’s load speed and layout. I gave them ideas about what I liked. I didn’t know there are so many different designs out there.

They provided me with many options based on what I said I wanted and what’d perform better. From there, we worked iteratively to build the site based on my preferences. Their team provided insights and recommendations along the way as to what’d perform better on Google.

Now, their team works on our targeted Google Ads. They helped us narrow down our target audience and the type of patients we were looking for. Their team also provided efforts to help us rank higher in Google Maps. It started off slow but as months went by, our metrics got better because they learned more insights on our target audience.

Cutting Edge Digital Marketing provides a dashboard that shows us how our ads are performing and where every lead is coming from. We can follow what keyword they’re clicking on that interested them. The more Cutting Edge Digital Marketing learns about what our audience is looking for, the better they can continue to create the ads.

We have a great ROI. The main thing we're most impressed with is the site speed. Our new site is much quicker and faster. Not only do people like that, but Google likes it. So, in turn, we’re ranked higher and receive more leads.

I don’t have any specific number from a financial standpoint, but I can say that I myself have been placing what seems like at least one implant a day since we’ve started working together. Before that, it was one or two per week. I’ve also had a few patients come in straight from the website.

Cutting Edge is excellent. Chris is super responsive — to text, emails, and pretty much anything. If I have any type of concern, I can just reach out, and he’ll get back to me immediately.

Everything has been professionally done. There’s never any lag in anything; if I need something, Cutting Edge goes above and beyond to provide.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness stands out. Also, they’re not one of those marketing companies that wants to get customers on a contract and then push them to the side. They’ve maintained their service level throughout. Cutting Edge wants to do a good job, see results, and deliver. They’re truly invested.

From a general standpoint, my rankings have gone up after every cycle. Specifically, my breast augmentation landing page has gone up the rankings in Chicago. Chicago is comparable to New York, so to have a top-ranking entry in that area is incredible. We have a similar presence in the Northwest Indiana region, and that’s a new development. Cutting Edge Digital Marketing is constantly improving our digital reach.

I’m getting consultation requests all the time thanks to their work. While we may not get in touch with each lead, there are literally dozens and dozens of requests coming in every week. That’s how I know that Chris is doing his job successfully. People are finding me, and I couldn’t be happier. Chris always delivers results.

If I need to make basic edits to the website, he does it in five minutes. He’s reliable, dynamic, and trustworthy. There’s nothing that could stop me from working with him on a long-term basis.
