The promotion and tourism league of Punta del Este (Liga de fomento y turismo de Punta del Este) wanted to create a new tourism information office that brought a different experience to the tourists. The idea of this office was to give a whole new experience, where tourists can interact with digital devices to get information of Punta del Este, and eventually download it on their smartphones. In order to give the tourists a better experience, we developed an augmented reality App, where they can see Punta del Este’s map from any mobile device. Casapueblo AR and Web
Located on a privileged spot of Punta Ballena, Museo Taller Casapueblo (Casapueblo’s museum & workshop), it’s an icon of Uruguayan culture, and it’s visited by thousand of tourists from all over the world.
Looking for the continuous improvement of their communication strategies, Casapueblo’s team decided to trust Cualit with the development of their new website, as well as the planning of a new digital strategy.
For the website design, we innovated following tendencies that top ten museums and art galleries are using nowadays, always respecting Carlos Páez Vilaró and Casapueblo’s style, and also trying to highlight the artists work and life as much as possible.
The whole website is now like a “big digital multimedia encyclopedia” about Carlos Páez Vilaró’s life and work, and Casapueblo’s history. Also, it has become a huge source of information for tourists who want to visit it.
Then, a new challenge appear; make this museum come to life.
In order to do so, Cualit developed an augmented reality app that turns still paintings into living art work.
When visitors aim their mobile phone at each piece, the artificial intelligence detects the painting and the artwork starts moving, sound starts playing telling the story, and complementary information is shown in a super entertaining way.
The result is a fully interactive and innovative way of visiting a museum that engages the audience no matter the age.

After many meetings & calls with different providers, we decided to go for Cualit because they seemed to have the required know-how for the project and they understood exactly what we want from the first time.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
It was a challenging project with several characters, features, a sophisticated gameplay and it involved new cutting edge technologies. They went through the whole development process in an efficient way, from the game design to the final deliverance.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with over 10 Cualit's professionals with good skills, including project managers, producers, 3d modellers, concept art artists, game programmers and QA specialists.

Our game had a great feedback and we're getting more downloads than we expected for a new VR game.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was great. We were always in touch getting feedback of how the project was going. And all the schedule were met exactly for a project of this size.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were impressive about the great quality of the final results and how they could address every problem we had, giving us great suggestions and solutions. But mainly, I want to highlight the passion that they had for the game development which allow them to deliver the best.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly, I don't have much to criticize, problems and issues were addressed in time. Costs were kept below budgeted levels. Maybe we could have had more in-person meetings but it was understandable since the project was done during the covid pandemic.

How did you select Cualit and what were the deciding factors?
Cualit is the web development provider for the legal firm I work for, that's how I got to them during my search for a company that could provide the services we needed. We chose them based on our experience with some of the products they had developed in the past, their knowledge and also their eagerness to give advice and teach us what is best for our project even before signing any contracts. We also wanted someone who would apply the best technology and practices but without overriding the essence of how we envisioned the final product.

Deadlines have been met accordingly, and those that weren’t were communicated correctly and timely. The Project Manager is easily reachable and always open to questions, changes, and most importantly to help us make informed decisions. We communicated through Slack, Whatsapp, and Google Meets. Project tasks and work hours were reported to us weekly with a detailed list during our weekly scrum meetings.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the general manager of company that functions in two different business areas; one is import/export, and the other is app development.
What challenges were you trying to address with Cualit?
We hired them to develop a sports betting app that allows the users to forecast the results of certain sports events, and to then match their predictions with the actual results. We also wanted a betting system that didn't involve money.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It is a native mobile app for Android and iOS devices.
What is the team composition?
We've worked directly with about four people. We have 2–3 focused on development area and another individual who focuses on marketing and web design.
How did you come to work with Cualit?
They were referred to us by a mutual friend who had already worked with them. Cualit is also based in the same city as us and had appropriate market prices. Given this and the good reference, they seemed like the best choice.
How much have you invested in them?
We made three versions of the app, and, in total, we spent around $300,000 USD.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started collaborating with them over two years ago. The project began in November or December 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I believe that Cualit evolved in positive ways as the development progressed. As for results, our main goal was to attract new users, and I believe that we've made errors related to marketing on our side.
However, I think Cualit's work is good, and I appreciate how they always included the newest technology in our product.
How did Cualit perform from a project management standpoint?
I've mentioned this to them, but I think there are some areas for improvement regarding their project management. It would be helpful to have a single account manager for each client. We communicated primarily via Slack and email, but we weren't always sure about who the best point of contact would be.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very clear and transparent regarding deadlines and processes. I, unfortunately, am not technically savvy enough to comment on their skills in that regard.
Are there any areas they could improve?
As I mentioned before, I suggested to them that they should have an account manager in charge of each project. Having only one person to communicate and negotiate with makes everything much easier.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a media company. I'm the co-founder and content director.
What challenge were you trying to address with Cualit?
We wanted to improve our online presence through website design.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed several sites for us for the various shows we promote. We had a small budget, and they worked with us to help get us off the ground.
What is the team composition?
They provided a team of at least three or four.
How did you come to work with Cualit?
Their CEO followed me when I did a podcast in my previous position. One of our shows was cancelled, and he contacted us to tell us how disappointed he was to see it end. At the time, he told us he was willing to help if we ventured out on our own. We took him up on that offer about a year later.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent several thousand dollars, and we bartered a lot at the beginning for an exchange of services. In all, I'd estimate we've spent around $8,000-$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around January 2012. Technically, we still work together, as they still host some of our websites.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work really legitimized the work we were doing. They established our online presence, and they allowed us to present something really professional. They came up with all the design work, and the sites they built were very interactive and cutting edge for the time.
How did Cualit perform from a project management standpoint?
They kept deadlines better than we did, and they consistently reached out whenever they needed something from us. If we ever had a problem or a need, they responded instantaneously. We could really rely on them. Their communication was always very good, and we never faced a language barrier.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their entire team was very young, which initially put us off. In spite of that, they produced quality work that we never expected. They were effective, and their work was top-tier. I can't even begin to fathom some of the work they were able to produce. They're a seriously impressive team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In my previous experience, I conducted most of my business in person. For us, doing everything virtually was a little disconcerting at first, and I always preferred face-to-face meetings. It would be fantastic if they had a more physical presence in the States.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm one of the founders of a signage company based in Miami.
What challenges were you trying to address with Cualit?
We rely on digital communication to find new clients and needed Cualit to help us. We also wanted to start positioning our brand more clearly.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They use Google Ads and work on our site's SEO compatibility to improve our online reach. They've also focused on our company’s social media presence, and finally, they've implemented some adjustments to our website.
What is the team composition?
There are at least four people involved.
How did you come to work with Cualit?
We're both from Uruguay, and I heard about their founder through mutual connections in Uruguay's Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. I had a very good first impression of them, their know-how, and their level of trustworthiness.
There are many things I don’t understand about technology, so I wanted to work with a company that I could trust to provide good results, with good communication too. I felt comfortable with the Cualit team.
How much have you invested in them?
We spend around $20,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together about a year ago.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They have great customer service and engage with us really well. They care about our needs and are always willing to propose new ideas. That was exactly what I was looking for; having someone I could trust to help us out with our digital communications. They're also good on the creative level, while still being flexible and willing to adapt to our suggestions.
And as for the quantitative results, this is something we're still working on together. It has been good, although I think it could get better.
How did Cualit perform from a project management standpoint?
We have a weekly report system, through which they're very proactive. They're always looking for new ways to help us out, such as with another side project involving a sales channel, and they're very professional too.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It's all about the people for me. I really value their proactiveness; they are always ready to go and focused on getting things done.

I was a member of a project at the engineering faculty of an education institution.
What challenges were you trying to address with Cualit?
It was the 25th anniversary of the faculty, and as a part of the celebration, they wanted to create a website. The faculty already had a general information site, so this was specifically a microsite aimed at reaching the public, including teachers, students and alumni, and allowing them to interact through the site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The site was based in WordPress, but they customized it according to our needs. The site includes infographics and forums to allow the users to participate.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four people.
How did you come to work with Cualit?
One of our company founders graduated from the faculty, so that is how we initially knew about them. We considered different companies and were about to reach a deal with another company, but we encountered some setbacks, so we decided to work with Cualit.
They hadn’t been our first option due to the cost, but once we contacted them, we didn’t have much time. They responded immediately and started working right away. In the end, they were the best and most professional company.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent $1,600-$1,800.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The results were even better than we expected and the product was of great quality. On the launch day, we had about 2,000 users. Their work was really outstanding and they were very supportive and gave us great suggestions on the aesthetics of the project. They really provided an integral service.
How did Cualit perform from a project management standpoint?
They respected deadlines 100 percent. We ended up finishing the project a bit later than we expected, but that was because of us. We didn’t manage to deliver some things when they were needed, but they really worked around the clock.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a full team at our disposal. We had a marketing-related question, for example, and they had someone specialized in that who could answer it for us. They are truly professional and it was a pleasure working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can't think of anything.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Herrmann International Europe, a training and coaching company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Cualit?
We hired Cualit to develop a specific program to enable students to answer a questionnaire. Our goal is to get insights about potential orientations for these future students. Our databank holds more than 1 million profiles, so for security reasons, we also use Cualit to update the software.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For the first collaboration, Cualit developed our app for the student questionnaires. We then engaged their team to update our software that is composed of all the profiles. Their team updated the databank to enhance its security and confidentiality of the questionnaires, which are written in 20 different languages. They’re currently still working with us to fix some existing issues within the system.
What is the team composition?
There are 4–5 people who support these projects, but we’re currently working with one of their team members.
How did you come to work with Cualit?
One of our colleagues recommended Cuatil.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $200,000-$250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2014 and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very satisfied with the work they’ve done. The software is highly efficient and their team has proven to be proactive and creative.
How did Cualit perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is strong. We have weekly phone calls with them, so they’re very present and available. When we send an email, they respond nearly immediately.
Working with them has been a nice surprise. When I worked with a previous vendor, they called us with every problem. Now, Cualit solves our problems for us and handles the issues themselves.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate their innovation and ability to act quickly. They also have a great understanding of our needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I’d suggest for them to improve. Although they could focus more on details, they make up for it with their creativity.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The best advice is to give specific requirements to get the work delivered on time.
The company was quite pleased with the final results of the project that the Cualit team helped complete. The product is receiving a lot of positive feedback and downloads. The company was most impressed by how the team was able to address all of their problems and deliver high-quality solutions.
