We work with primarily 2 dev associates that we work with but there are a total of 3 dev associates and one leader that we interact with.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the COO at Cliftons. We provide event spaces for organizations like corporates and governments. We manage events from 10–200 people for everything from computer training, soft skills, and other large events. People use our venues across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia-Pacific. More and more, we’re also doing hybrid virtual events.
What challenge were you trying to address with CRMJetty?
We use Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365 as our CRM, and since we’re an event management company, we need a good calendaring system. However, our provider’s standard system isn’t suitable for our purposes. We had been using a previous company to supply a calendaring system for 5–6 years. When we went to the cloud version of MS Dynamics 365, our calendar wasn’t suitable anymore, so we needed to find a new vendor.
What was the scope of their involvement?
CRMJetty provides us with their calendaring system. We gave them extensive requirements because we have customizations within our CRM environment. They’ve worked with our customizations. They also provide a client portal where our customers can manage their events online. We previously used an MS product called Azure Data Explorer (ADX) for this feature, and after speaking with them, we decided to change to CRMJetty’s product.
They’ve integrated their products with MS Dynamics 365, and they now pull live information from our CRM system and present it to the users. Additionally, we’re currently using CRMJetty for general MS Dynamics 365 support, including performance improvements and new functions.
What is the team composition?
Our project manager is our main contact, and we work with two developers; one works on the portal side, and the other handles MS Dynamics 365 support.
How did you come to work with CRMJetty?
I researched online for a vendor that offered an event calendaring to replace our previous one. After meeting with CRMJetty, we did a trial of their product, which seemed to suit our needs. Then, I did a little bit more research on the company, and we decided to use them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $35,000 AUD (approximately $25,000 USD). Now, we also have a maintenance agreement, so I expect our yearly spending to go up to $50,000 AUD (approximately $36,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
CRMJetty is very professional and has a strict process, which is very good for us. They've driven us to ensure everything goes through a dev-side sandbox to get signed off and checked before moving it to production. The quality of their work is very high. We've seen very few bugs, even in the first user testing stage, where we've found their work is 90%–95% ready to go live. We haven't found any issues when they move any features to a working state. Additionally, we were able to use the calendaring system very quickly after we started the engagement.
There's an expectation that if our relationship continues to grow, CRMJetty might become our primary CRM development partner. So far, the chances are high because everything they've done for us has been very professional, and their communication is very good and consistent.
How did CRMJetty perform from a project management standpoint?
They're very good at project management. They provide accurate estimates of assets and budgets and meet the timeframes. So far, they've never gone over the deadline for something to go live. Overall, I'm very happy with their ability to estimate.
Our communication is through Skype, which I initially found to be a bit old-school. However, it's working quite well; we catch up daily in the afternoon to adjust for the time difference between us. We also use email. The team is readily available, and whenever I call for a catch-up, they always respond within an hour despite the time difference.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I'm impressed with CRMJetty's professionalism. They deliver as per their estimates, and the quality of their work is very good. I can be very particular as a manager because of the prominence of our customers. Attention to detail is important, and I also expect it from our suppliers. CRMJetty has met our standards, so expect to keep working with them a long way into the future.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing I would suggest is working more around the time difference. Some larger companies have 24/7 support, while we're restricted by the time difference between Australia and India. That's not really on them, though, and the fortunate thing is we haven't had any significant issues. We've never needed immediate support and had to wait, which is a testament to the quality they deliver.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Consider that CRMJetty will require a proper, up-to-date sandbox environment that works with your latest technologies. I would recommend them to anybody, provided they cover the items you're looking for.

We wanted to provide our volunteers with a more robust user interface to sign up for shifts and view their volunteer history. This information is kept in our Salesforce installation, so we needed an external-facing product that would interface with Salesforce in the desired way.

They appeared to have a product that would work for us with some additional customization.

Their Salesport product needed to be modified for volunteer use rather than for sales use. We have complex business processes around our volunteer registrations, and the product needed to assess a number of different criteria to determine which shifts to display to a given volunteer as well as how their registration should be processed.

I worked with a project manager as well as a development lead, in addition to occasionally seeing other development team members during demo calls.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Too early to say, as we have only just begun bringing users in to the new portal.

Communication for this project was mainly over email due to the time zone difference, which occasionally caused issues to take extra time to resolve if a significant amount of back and forth was needed to get our expectations aligned with the dev team's understanding. That aside, the dev lead was always responsive to any queries we made within a day.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their technical skills with regard to their software as well as Salesforce were commendable, and they were able to implement most of our customization requests.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Documentation for their product is functional, but not very user friendly. I think putting some extra effort into that would make their customers much more confident about supporting the product for their own users.
