I’m the marketing director of a law firm in Acton, Massachusetts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Crisp Video Group?

We wanted to create a video for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Crisp Video Group did video production for us; they came out to Massachusetts and spent the whole day with us to create around ten videos. It was a long video where they recorded client voice-over testimonials and did some short snippets of FAQs that we use on our website.

Crisp Video Group’s team also provided all of the necessary equipment to record the material that we mainly use on our site and social media.

We worked with three people from their team, including lightning, filming, production crew, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Crisp Video Group?

We met them at a networking event.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $15,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–December 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received positive feedback on their work. Overall, we were 100% satisfied with their work, and they exceeded our expectations.

How did Crisp Video Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great at project management; they stuck to deadlines and budgets. In terms of communication, we used phone calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The overall quality of their work was great — they’re excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know who your client is and who you’re trying to reach with the video. Also, have a script that you’re comfortable with; that’ll be helpful because you won’t have to memorize anything since everything will come from your heart.

We needed help with social media marketing (SMM).

We reached out to Crisp to make a video. Once they had the video, they advertised it and did some SMM.

They kept rotating about seven people.

Another attorney referred them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $70,000 for SMM and video production.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2019–March 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It started off great, but after they made the video, everything was poor. We gave them access to our YouTube account so they’d bring out those videos. We had a total of 54 videos, so I don’t know what they did. They lost files and wasted our marketing budget — that’s money we’ll never get back. They kept trying to show us what our money was doing, but they had nothing to show for it.

When we addressed issues, they had a poor follow-up. In fact, they never had an answer for any of the problems that came up. In the end, they actually told us we were too big of a law firm for them to handle and that they were more geared towards working with smaller, boutique firms.

How did Crisp Video Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was poor. I don’t know if they needed a better project manager or they didn’t have the right people. Crisp wasn’t able to strategize or dissect the problem.

The problems we presented to them weren’t on our end or because we were picky; they just didn’t know what to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They made a great video for us, but that was their only strength.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Communication needed to improve. When they switched people, the previous person never relayed the info well. They missed multiple Zoom meetings, which was terrible because the firm’s owner and I schedule our days around these meetings.

Don’t work with them. Do it yourself or find another company.
