I’m the owner of a travel agency, Krave Travel.

What challenge were you trying to address with CreoLogic Design Inc?

I was looking for someone to create my company logo and design my website as well. I was concerned that somebody that didn’t have any travel industry background would not be able to relate to what I was looking to achieve. I find that for travel agencies, it’s hard to find any software, templates, and website design programs that are specifically catered to the travel industry.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kelly (Founder & President) from CreoLogic Design Inc designed my logo. I incorporated my business last year and he helped me with the creative name, creative logo, and we started working on the website. CreoLogic Design Inc made suggestions to my business that will take my business to a whole new level.

We discussed features like an interactive map, which we don’t see a lot on the competitors’ websites. A live chat feature was also suggested by Kelly. If somebody is looking at a specific resort or destination, it would allow me to connect with them and give them an insight as to how familiar I am with that area.

Another suggestion that I’m excited about is an online store through my website where people would be able to purchase things for their holidays that are hard to come across in Canadian winters. That was something that I never would have thought of until I met the CreoLogic Design Inc team.

When I connected with Kelly, it was just for the sole purpose of a website, but he offered me advice above and beyond. Kelly also organized for me to have professional headshots taken and suggested catchphrases be used on my website.

What is the team composition?

I mostly work with Kelly. 

How did you come to work with CreoLogic Design Inc?

We actually grew up in the same town, so I knew of him, but because I’m not in web design, I didn’t realize how successful Kelly has been. I looked at his website and as he is local to the Edmonton area, I found that some of the reputable businesses here are his clients.

I didn’t even realize that some of the websites that I’ve personally been on were something that he created. That’s where I felt he makes us feel special because my total cost is probably a lot less than what his clientele usually brings for him.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, I’ve spent less than $5,000, but the total budget for the project is about $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with CreoLogic Design Inc in May 2019. We had to pause work around March 2020 because COVID-19 really crashed my business. Kelly understands why I need to pause everything, but he still checks in all the time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The logo that CreoLogic Design Inc came up with drew a lot of attention to my business and people really wanted to know what Krave is. Unfortunately, my website hasn’t launched yet, but I’m very confident that when it does, people will be extremely impressed because everything else has just been flawless. CreoLogic Design Inc definitely achieved what I wanted to do.

How did CreoLogic Design Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Kelly is really good with following up with me and I don’t have to ever follow up with him. He stays on top of everything. He takes time to follow up with me and make sure that I’m following timelines. He replies to me right away and 9 out of 10 times, he’s the first one to reach out and give me reminders. Even with the travel industry being so quiet right now, he’s still committed to the project and looking forward to when things pick up.
 
What did you find most impressive about them?

For somebody that doesn’t work in the travel industry, Kelly’s ideas were impressive. He was able to create my vision without needing too much description. He has a greater interest in my business beyond just a website. It’s so personal what he does and how he makes the process feel.

I’m building this online store right now and I’m running ideas by him. It’s just awesome that he’s still genuinely interested in supporting me and I’m hoping the travel industry gets back up and running. I see his quality as flawless. Kelly thinks of everything including the little things that I wouldn’t even have thought about.

He thinks outside of the box — especially with travel agencies that have a tendency to be old school, and he has given it a modern twist. Kelly is a smart businessman. He’s extremely professional all the time even though he’s the easiest person to talk to. He is very caring and he’s offering his time and advice above and beyond the invoice.

He is very passionate about what he does because he wants to see his clients succeed. Kelly offers quality service and what he does is high quality. His ideas are absolutely incredible and go far beyond web design. I feel privileged to work with him because he has such a great background. He makes me feel I'm his only client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Kelly needs to promote himself more as a web designer because his business ideas for people are maximizing their profits and growing their productivity.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

People are taken aback by the cost, but working with Kelly is 100% worth the investment. The thousands of dollars invested in working with him will go so much further. He’ll talk about Google search optimization and shows little steps and extra things to put on a website and what type of results people have had in the past.

We hired them for website design and build and to develop our logo and brand identity.

What were your goals for this project?

To create a visually appealing, user friendly website and a logo that would appeal to our target demographic.

How did you select CreoLogic Design Inc?

We reviewed three other web design companies before selecting CreoLogic.

Describe the project in detail.

There were a couple of discovery sessions and mockups for both the logo and website. There was a lot of attention to detail to ensure we were happy and that the logo was perfect. Once we nailed down the design, there was a lot of quality assurance steps with external reviews to make sure everything was perfect. They also supported us in developing a few other important visual identity components like certification bagdes.

What was the team composition?

I had the opportunity to work with Kelly and Amy but there were others who also worked on the backend developing forms and other projects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The logo, brand and website was for a brand new company and the feedback we have had on our site and brand has been nothing but positive. We've had people tell us that the website is easy to navigate, has great resources and that the brand is outstanding and even award-winning.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was great communication and all deadlines were met.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of work and professionalism is outstanding. I LOVE our brand and website now and couldn't be happier. They have tons of experience and I appreciated that the actual experts worked with us (vs having students or people fresh out of school work with us which seems to be common in the industry).
