I’m the president of an equipment appraisal company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Creative Web Designs?

The previous website that I had built was not really WordPress friendly, and it was difficult for me to rank well on Google because of all the plugins. I hired Creative Web Designs to make a WordPress-friendly website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Creative Web Designs developed a new WordPress website from scratch using my existing domain.They also did a little bit of SEO just to give me a fresh start with the website. My team provided them with the content to add to the site.

They integrated some light gear pieces that are moving on the loading screen since I operate machinery and equipment. It looks pretty cool to integrate a piece of my industry into the loading screen instead of a circle spinning.

I worked directly with Cindi (Founder).

I found them through a Google search.

How much have you invested with them?

I invested around $2,000–$2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the project from November 2019–January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did an excellent job on the development of the website. Beyond the integrations, they also did a great job with the design and graphics. The graphics alone say a lot about the quality she puts into her work; she doesn’t just do basic, black-and-white websites.

The backend work she did on my website has helped me rank quicker in certain cities on Google than I thought it would. Usually, it takes a while to rank organically on Google. I’m a pretty particular person, but she was patient, understanding, and kind throughout the process. She was generous with her time. She also made unlimited revisions until I was satisfied, and she didn’t charge for those additional revisions.

I’m pretty happy with the website. People in my industry really enjoyed looking at the website that she made. A lot of my competitors have really old and outdated websites. One of my colleagues reached out to me to see who did my website, and he hired them recently to make him a website because he was so happy with mine.

How did Creative Web Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated mostly by phone and email. Sometimes, she screenshared so that she could teach us how to use the site once she was done. Not only did she help with the website design, but she also helped us to understand how to navigate through our own WordPress integrations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive part of the collaboration was her attention to detail and letting the customer be heard. One of her goals is to make sure that everyone is 100% happy before she finishes the project, even if it takes longer than expected. Her focus isn’t just on the dollar amount.

I was picky about the website, but the fact that she could put up with me and make me happy speaks a lot about her. She was always patient, and I never saw her agitated. Her overall generosity and patience with customers stand out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

She could have worked on SEO, but that's not really what I hired her for, so I can't hold that against her.

Any advice for potential customers?

Communicate your needs and document them throughout the whole process. As long as she has everything she needs, she’s very understanding.

I work for AR500 Steel-Targets. We manufacture and sell steel targets for shooting ranges.

What challenge were you trying to address with Creative Web Designs?

We had no plans to open a physical store, so we needed an e-commerce website to sell our products.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We told Cindi (Owner) how we wanted the website to be, and she went and built it. For example, we asked for the front page to have a flashing animation to advertise our free shipping offer. We also wanted the site to be good-looking and easy to use. Cindi also created a brochure for us. Any pictures we took, we sent to her, and she fixed them up for our site and brochure. 

In addition to updating our website, Cindi does most of our Facebook and Instagram management. We also use her SEO and PPC services to get our name to the top of search listings.

We only work with Cindi.

How did you come to work with Creative Web Designs?

We did a quick Google search for website designers. When I called a few, some didn’t get back to me, but Cindi called me back real quick. Also, when I was checking out her websites, I felt like she’d understand what we wanted. Lastly, her prices were reasonable, especially looking at how much she does for us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $15,000–$20,000. The brochure cost a couple thousand dollars. That was pricey but worth it. I can’t complain.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together since May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I notice that when certain videos or posts are made, a few more orders trickle in. Cindi’s also made it easy for me by handling the website side of things. When she sends tracking numbers, I ship everything. I’ll send her a copy of the information, and she sends that to our customers on our behalf.

How did Creative Web Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

The brochure took a little bit longer than expected, but that was because she was cleaning up several product photos for us, so I definitely understand. 

We communicate over email and the phone. I have her number, and we text a lot. If she doesn’t reply right away, she’ll call right back. Even when we contact her after hours, she’ll respond super quickly. We've always been able to get a hold of her.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cindi does what she says she’s going to do in a timely manner. Overall, she’s very reliable; I’ve never had a problem getting a hold of her.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any issues. It’d be probably easier for her if she better understood our products, but that’s not her job. She’s not in this business.
