A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of the Charleston Radio Group. Our organization has a cluster of 6 stations in Charleston.
What challenge were you trying to address with Craft Creative?
We spent a significant amount of money renovating our building and we wanted a video to display our company and team in a positive light during an event we were hosting. We wanted to extol the vibrancy of the radio industry and bring a feeling of entertainment to show people who we are as a company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Craft Creative was integral in all stages of production. For pre-production, they produced a script that would be used during our event to interview several air personalities. They created a call sheet to guide their filming for the event, showed up a few hours early to set up, and filmed everything seamlessly. From there, they compiled the interviews, the B-roll, and our feedback then created a two-minute final version of the video.
What is the team composition?
Eric (President, Craft Creative) shepherded the whole project, but around five people total worked with us. This included teammates specializing in logistics, sound, onsite production, and more.
How did you come to work with Craft Creative?
We’d known of Craft Creative because they’re one of the best marketing companies in Charleston and some of our clients are their clients. When we were looking for a team, we knew they do incredible work and wanted to see what they’d do for us.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together on this project in Septemeber 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our headquarters is in Detroit, and they used our video as an example for the other 170 radio stations to follow. They found the video to be high quality, very innovative, and the best way to showcase the team and community we live in. It is immeasurable to have the board of directors and CEO showcase our work like that.
How did Craft Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
They were absolutely flawless. Their team communicated a perfect amount, never wearing anyone out with every minor detail. We put a plan together, everyone agreed on it, and they seamlessly executed it. We had one in-person meeting but mostly communicated through email aside from the on-site shoot.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their ability to be seamless in a very high-class, professional business setting was fantastic. For example, they blended in perfectly to our event, walking carefully around people with food and drink. Having such a detailed call sheet was also very nice. It was great to know their plan for the filming.
The third thing that stood out was the creative ideas they contributed along the way. At the end of the event, they suggested we do a quick full-team video. It was only 15-seconds, but it turned out great. This really showed their great business acumen.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There is nothing they could improve on—everything turned out so well and we were happy from start to finish.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be as upfront as possible. We gave Eric as much detail as we could, and the team took it from there.
The final video achieved great feedback from officials within the organization, being used as an example for all other stations. The Craft Creative team fostered a smooth engagement. Their ability to work quickly and effectively in a professional environment was valued.
