BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of marketing for the payments team at Kareo. I handle the marketing initiatives that drive revenue for our business.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?
We launched a new product and needed to engage a partner who could shoot product videos for us. We outsourced the project to The Corporate Film Guys.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The Corporate Film Guys created three videos to support the product launch. They handled the entire creative process from beginning to end. We had an initial kickoff call to discuss our goals and the scope of work. Then, they created a brief, and we had several follow-up meetings to gather assets, style guides, and other items for the interview portions of the videos. I also worked with one of their writers on scripting for all three videos.
Once we developed and finalized the script, they found a studio for us and helped purchase set decor. The team was also responsible for casting actors for the shoot, which included doctors, patients, and billers. After finalizing a shoot date, they facilitated the shoot, which I attended with a few internal team members. They brought their own camera equipment, backdrops, and lighting and shot for about eight hours to capture all the necessary video content.
The Corporate Film Guys handled the postproduction elements, including a few rounds of edits. They also sourced background music, recorded voiceovers, and facilitated the audio mixing and music design. After incorporating our style guide, logo, color schemes, and other elements, they delivered the videos. The final deliverables were a two-minute explainer video and two 60-second videos that outlined the product’s features. They used a combination of animations, on-screen graphics, and logos to achieve the end result.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Guy (Owner & Executive Producer), a set designer, a wardrobe person, and a hair and makeup artist. We had about 5–6 people on set, including the camera person.
How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?
We were introduced to them through a friend who recommended their services.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $28,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May–July 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The Corporate Film Guys delivered videos that far exceeded our expectations. We use the videos internally for our onboarding and sales teams to send to new customers. We also use them in marketing campaigns to build out various lead funnels, which has worked well. Additionally, we’ve published the videos on our website, social media accounts, and YouTube channel; they have a good conversion rate and a 30% open rate.
How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
Working with The Corporate Film Guys was fantastic, and I’d hire them again. They were a good resource who delivered the project ahead of time and $2,000 under budget.
Guy was very responsive via text and email, and we met via Zoom. I recently requested a minor edit to one of the videos, and they turned it around in 24 hours, which was great. They toed the line between implementing my suggestions and proposing new ones that could improve the videos, which I appreciated.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was most impressed by The Corporate Film Guys’ attention to detail and production value. They executed solid work and were fair partners, which allowed us to build a strong working relationship.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I highly recommend The Corporate Film Guys. Have a clear picture of your desired outcome, so the team understands your goal and can work efficiently to deliver your project.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a show producer, director, and owner of White Entertainment TV. We do light, video, staging, content management, and décor, primarily for corporate events. I produce opening videos for the majority of our clients.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?
I engaged The Corporate Film Guys to be my postproduction editor.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The Corporate Film Guys provides us with editing services. For every project, we have an intake meeting where I give them the music, the script, the narration, and the overall vision. They primarily use live-action clips, historical clips, and stock images. Using the script, they select the independent clips, compiling the raw pieces into the finished video.
For our latest project, an end client contacted us to produce an opening video for their sales meetings. I brainstormed with my clients, then developed a script. From there, I worked with The Corporate Film Guys to determine the best B-roll, treatment, animation, and 3D animation if required. Then, they edited the video, which was 2–3 minutes long.
What is the team composition?
I work with Guy (Executive Producer). He has a pool of independent contractors and animators that help him.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent close to $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them around June 2007, and our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The videos are only used for live events, and the feedback on The Corporate Film Guys’ work is always off-the-charts good. Their work has gotten standing ovations, and we’ve also gotten positive email feedback from end clients expressing their gratitude for the hard work and how the videos have made them feel. The videos have energized their audiences, making them pumped to continue working for their companies.
I’ve been working with The Corporate Film Guys for a while; they’re my go-to team because they understand the vibe we’re looking for. They’re always very open, expressive, and willing to hear my thoughts. If we’re asking for something they cannot do, they’ll clearly identify it.
How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re always on budget and ahead of schedule. We communicate through cell phone calls and email. Since we’ve had a relationship with The Corporate Film Guys for so long, we can anticipate each other’s needs and what the end product should look like.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The Corporate Film Guys does everything well! They’re amazingly talented. Their strength also comes down to the experience level and understanding of not only my needs but the end clients’ in an unspoken way. I hope Guy never retires; he takes pride in every project, large or small.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If they could work on more projects, it’d be fantastic.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust The Corporate Film Guys and understand that they’ll take care of your assets very well. Therefore, it’s better not to micromanage and let the artists do what they need to.

The Corporate Film Guys produces videos for a qualitative research company. In their most recent project, the team has produced a video for a study of a rare disease and its impact on patients and caregivers.
The video has been received well by the audience, and the company has secured future engagement with the end client. The Corporate Film Guys has been a pleasure to work with, and they’re highly communicative. They also provide ideas that contribute to the creation of powerful and engaging videos.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a strategy supervisor at LBR Insight, a full-service qualitative research company. We do focus groups, interviews, and ethnographies. We record them not only for our own records but also for our clients, which range from pharmaceutical companies to consumer goods firms. Our team works with many large companies in the US and globally.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?
We usually delivered our research through a PowerPoint and PDF form. However, when we had emotional discussions with patients and consumers, plain text wasn’t enough. As a result, we wanted The Corporate Film Guys to bring our insights to life through video.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Most of the services that The Corporate Film Guys have provided for us involve analysis and condensing research into video format. That way, our clients can easily digest our findings. So far, we’ve done around six projects with them. Normally, the process is highly dependent on our needs. Sometimes, we need them to edit six days of research into a five-minute video. Other times, they need to quickly put together media from our video diaries into a 10-minute video.
We typically reach out to Guy (Executive Producer), who’s our main contact person. Our team provides materials and tells him what we need. We also give him an overall idea of the storyboard and instructions on how we want them to edit the video. At the same time, their team provides recommendations on how to best communicate our ideas through the video. They send us video drafts through Wipster. Once we and the clients approve their outputs, we get the final video versions. After that, they proceed to the billing stage. Overall, our working process is highly straightforward.
In fact, our latest project has recently wrapped up. We did background research with the families of patients with a severe genetic disorder that was similar to autism. We recorded the lives of caregivers for these patients for a few weeks, and The Corporate Film Guys helped us create a video summary of the disorder’s impact on the caregivers’ lives. Our goal was to open the eyes of those who didn’t understand the disease because it was so rare. It also helped them empathize and know what it felt like to have such a diagnosis.
We’ve also worked with the US Army for many years, and they’re extremely interested in getting these videos. The Corporate Film Guys and our team have worked on three videos for them.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with Guy. At some point, we’ve worked with other people from their team.
How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?
We worked with other video production companies in the past. In fact, we had a list of companies that could edit our videos. However, I didn’t feel that they could provide the type of work that we needed. For one, they were too expensive, so they weren’t in the scope of what we wanted. On top of that, I was living in Los Angeles and wanted a local vendor in case we needed to meet in person; I also wanted to have a good idea of who they were.
With these things in mind, I went ahead and started looking for vendors and editing companies in Los Angeles. That was how I came across The Corporate Film Guys. I also interviewed a few people. In the end, I felt that Guy and his team could provide exactly what we needed. Not only that; they also fall within our budget. As a result, we decided to go with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In our last project, our clients have loved the video. All the audios, images, and texts have been put together in a powerful way. Moving forward, our client has decided to include such a video in each of their research efforts. That’s because the format has been engaging for everybody. For context, people have been working on said rare disease for many years, but they still don’t truly understand it. They haven’t walked in the shoes of those who suffer from the condition. In other words, presenting it in video format has been powerful in helping them understand it.
Overall, working with The Corporate Film Guys has been so easy in terms of processes. They make sure we have a powerful final product. It has allowed us to maintain engagement when it comes to writing and presenting reports. Our clients are now way more engaged when we present a report in video form as opposed to PDF.
How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
The Corporate Film Guys’ project management has been excellent. Our communication with Guy has been seamless, and the team provides clear estimates on how long it will take for them to provide the video edits. We haven’t had any issues with them in terms of communication, and their project management skills have been smooth.
On top of that, we have the opportunity to work with their editors, which is an added value to their services. We have the ability to provide feedback through Wipster; it’s a great tool for commenting on specific video parts when we want them to make an edit. This has also saved us many hours of work and back-and-forth communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their flexibility and expertise in what they do distinguish them from other providers. It’s truly easy to provide feedback on the videos. I don’t have to worry about the projects; I know they’re on top of everything. I sometimes don’t know how to summarize a video, but they’re willing to provide their input and suggestions on how to best communicate an idea. Overall, their flexibility and expertise are their strongest assets.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. I haven’t found anything they can improve; we’ve had such a great experience with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Talk to Guy. Everything has gone well because we’ve been able to communicate with him. His level of expertise is highly valuable in terms of getting a powerful final product. Let Guy know what you’re looking for, and he’ll guide you; he’ll provide informed feedback when you tell them how you want to approach the video project. Overall, they’re great at what they do.

As part of the process, our marketing department comes up with a rough script for the video we want to do. Then, we send it over to The Corporate Film Guys, and they review it and provide feedback.
From there, we develop a storyboard of what shots we want. The Corporate Film Guys provide creative direction on what they think works best, visually. From there, they film the videos. Next, the team goes back and edits footage, adding graphics or animation as needed. They always find voiceover actors if needed.
Then, they give us the first draft. We review the edits and send them back. Finally, they send us the final video. Typically, the videos are 2–5 minutes in length and are related to product launches. The team uses Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Guy (Owner), a director of photography, and an animator.
How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?
They were already a vendor when I was hired.
How much have you invested with them?
We probably spent close to $50,000 per year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2016, and our work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The videos that The Corporate Film Guys make for us generally have higher viewership and engagement than videos we produce in-house. Their quality of work is fantastic. Guy is always willing to work with us within our budget.
How didThe Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
Guy is always very upfront about timelines and he never strays from what we agree on. He’s also great about telling us what to expect for a day of filming. He takes initiative and always reaches out when we have questions.
It helps us solve speedbumps and hurdles very quickly. It’s a very seamless process. It doesn’t feel like we’re hiring a vendor; it feels like we’re hiring someone else to join our in-house team. We communicate via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their professionalism and attention to detail stand out. I’ve worked with several videographers, and The Corporate Film Guys is very top-notch in comparison. They take time to understand our business and what we’re trying to convey. They always work with us to get our message out there.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they always do a great job of mapping out their vision for our video. The team provides feedback on what we’re looking for. They’re also responsive to any questions or concerns.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be upfront. Communicate with Guy and his team on what you’re looking for; they’ll take that direction and run with it. Be open feedback. Guy and his team have a lot of experience and vision for how they think things should go. Walk into the relationship as a partnership––don’t treat it like hiring a vendor to do a task.

The Corporate Film Guys has created videos for a security app company to tell their story. So far, the team has produced a video that shows an overview of the app and two videos about its download and usage.
The videos have been launched, and viewers have been impressed by their simplicity, thanks to The Corporate Film Guys’ work. The team listens well to the client, captures what they want, and produces videos that meet expectations. They’ve also been easy to work with throughout the collaboration.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
School Security First is a school emergency notification app. We’re the fastest notification app for notifying everyone on campus and connecting them with 911 in under three seconds.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?
We needed to tell a story, and the best way of telling our story was by putting a few videos on our website. As a result, I talked to Guy (Executive Producer) for this project.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first video we did was an overview of the app. It was for everyone, but our target audience was all K-through-university students. If people viewed it on our website, they'd see exactly what our app could do. Meanwhile, the other two videos showed how to download and use the app and how to onboard schools.
Before we launched the videos, we made sure that they were finished well and that we liked them. In other words, we didn’t want to put something up on the web that we’d have to change later on. Like a woodworker, we measured twice and cut once.
What is the team composition?
Guy is our main point of contact. We also work with another person who writes the script. In total, around 3–4 people are involved in the engagement.
How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?
I interviewed another company, and I wasn’t very impressed with them. Then, I did some research on The Corporate Film Guys, and I set up an appointment with them to discuss what we were looking for. After meeting Guy, I decided that he was absolutely the person we would use.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested somewhere around $12,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our videos have been released. We’ve attended different conventions and a lot of people have discussed the videos, describing how simple they are. Then, they’ve learned how simple it is to download the app. On top of that, the reviews we’ve received have been positive. People say that we’ve done a great job.
Guy and his team have also done a good job in capturing what we’re doing and putting it in a format that we truly enjoy. Guy has been super easy to work with, and I can’t say enough positive things about how well I like the finished product — it’s been an awesome experience.
How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
They use a variety of tools. Guy either calls or emails us, and it’s been perfect for me. I also communicate with their scriptwriter regularly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Guy and his team listen well to me. They capture what we’re trying to do and make the videos based on our preferences. As far as making changes goes, they make sure that everything is done in the way we like, so we’re absolutely satisfied with their work.
Guy has built a great company, and he employs great people. They’re also easy to work with. In fact, I’ve worked with Guy on several occasions, and some of those aren’t even related to creating short videos. Overall, he has a wealth of knowledge, and he’s an incredibly nice person.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our organization is a consumer products company. We are known for our labels. Our pitch is that we’re one of the world’s leading manufacturer of self-adhesive labels, labeling software, binders, sheet protectors, dividers, and other business, home, and school supplies.
I’m a group manager responsible for brand management and marketing communications, specifically targeting public relations and social media.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?
Video is a large part of our demand creation and content marketing strategy. We’re constantly asked for more videos and different types of videos, and our in-house capabilities are very limited. We need to outsource some of our content creation for paid campaigns, new product launches, and brand updates to get a faster turnaround and better quality.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’ve worked with their team on several projects over the last two quarters. Most recently, we launched a big portfolio of products for our industrial business unit, and we had to create new product videos to market the launch through paid media, our website, and other placement opportunities, including Amazon and trade and retail distribution partners. The Corporate Film Guys handled post-production, while we did the scripting and filming in-house. They helped us source the voiceover talent as well.
Prior to this, they worked on our holiday campaign and differentiation campaigns on the branding level. They handled those projects start-to-finish, including scripting and storyboarding, filming, and post-production. On shoot days, they help with hand modeling and ensure the location is all set.
One of the other campaigns we’ve done with them — I wasn’t involved in this one — required around 14 different versions of the video for our paid media channels, and The Corporate Film Guys delivered those. They’ve even delivered some of the assets to us so we can provide those assets to our other partners.
What is the team composition?
Primarily, with all the new industrial product launches, I’ve been working with Guy (Executive Producer). He’s been our main point of contact throughout the relationship. We’ve also worked with resources for set production, storyboarding, scripting, and prop support. During filming, there are usually 2–3 other resources on set, outside of the prop individual.
How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?
A former supervisor of mine introduced us to The Corporate Film Guys.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since January 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their post-production service gives us the ability to produce projects more quickly and at a rate comparable to or lower than that of other production houses we’ve worked with.
Regarding cost, we’ve worked with other video production companies, and The Corporate Film Guys are about the same, if not a bit less than their prices. We lean toward them because of their good quality for the price.
Our in-house team gives us a turnaround time of 45 business days at minimum, and The Corporate Film Guys deliver much faster than that. Their volume of content also exceeds that of our in-house team.
We have standard measures of success for our campaigns, but we hold ourselves accountable for those metrics, rather than our creative vendors.
How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?
They always have a clear understanding of what needs to be done. They’re very organized and timely; sometimes they deliver ahead of schedule. All of their products are highly professional, and response time is great. When I request thumbnails for files, I usually receive them within 1–2 hours, or at least an ETA on when I’ll have them.
Regarding project management, The Corporate Film Guys’ team works well together to cover the bases. We have check-ins along the way during the full-service video projects.
One of the other services we’ve used aside from The Corporate Film Guys was very ambitious with their timing and delivery, and they ended up going over deadline and budget.
From this perspective, The Corporate Film Guys always sticks to our timeline and budget successfully. They’ve been very easy to work with and are very responsive. They’re good at following up if they don’t hear from us. Clear direction and sign-off are a must for them before moving forward.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We just started our biggest campaign of the year with them — they’ve already started working on scripting and storyboarding — and we were very impressed by their pitch for the project. We offered it to 3–4 production houses and chose The Corporate Film because they not only delivered a good creative concept, but they also very clearly understood what we were trying to achieve, which showed us that they took our creative brief to heart. The other companies threw everything at the wall or wanted us to submit a deposit before they even showed us a concept.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything to say off the top of my head. I haven’t heard anything from my team or my personal experience to share.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’m not sure how other clients are, but one of the things we hear from all third-party relationships, whether it’s our paid media agency or another video production agency, is that we tend to overcommunicate. The more a client can provide to their vendor, especially if it is specific to the project, the better the vendor’s work will meet the client’s needs.
