Billing System Integration/Digitization for Law Practice
"They’re very responsible and take care of their clients."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior partner and CEO of a multi-state law firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with Coral Edge?
We were trying to integrate an electronic billing system with our attorneys so that we could condense the amount of time it takes to get our monthly bills out.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our attorneys enter their billable time into a database. We use that data to generate a monthly bill. We were using paper bills, and it took 6–8 weeks to finalize all of the bills and send them out.
Coral Edge integrated an electronic billing system so it takes much less time to process the bills. They’re continuing to integrate solutions that will cut down on time.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Kirsti and Ben (Founders).
How did you come to work with Coral Edge?
I’ve known them for many years because they were my tenants about 15 years ago. They became friends of mine. I was discussing the issue with them, and they said they could help me, so I brought them on.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about $100,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They condensed the bill editing time period. What used to take 60 days, now takes about 30 days. As a result, we’re also getting paid more quickly which improves our cash flow. They’re continuing to implement improvements so we’ll see further improvements in our efficiency and cash flow.
How did Coral Edge perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very responsive. We didn’t have any strict deadlines, but they delivered in a timely manner. Their work was in line with what we discussed at the start of the engagement.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They had to put in more effort than I think they originally expected, but they stuck with the original contract and were honest throughout the process. They didn’t try to upsell me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing they could improve. They’re very responsible and take care of their clients.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Put the time into the project, so that Coral Edge knows what your wants and needs are.

IT Consulting, SI & Migration for Device Lifecycle Firm

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager at a telecom service company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Coral Edge?
We needed IT consulting, system integration, and migration help.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve used them for several projects, but most recently we were addressing some integration challenges and migration of an AWS center. We brought them in to provide technical leadership and ownership.
In the past, we brought them in for some Zendesk development.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a team of 3–4 people. Our main point of contact was Ben (CTO/Technical Product Manager).
How did you come to work with Coral Edge?
I came on board about three years ago, and we were already utilizing them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2008. This AWS project took place in September 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve always delivered and never let me down. We’re really satisfied with their work.
How did Coral Edge perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re flexible and easy to work with. They deliver on time and within budget. They use project management tools internally. Communication is really clear.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very technical. You can pretty much throw any technical problems at them and they can resolve them. You can talk with them in technical terms, but they can also dial it up a notch and explain it to me in more plain language. Of all the consultancies I’ve worked with over the years, they’re the easiest to work with and are very good at explaining what needs to get done.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’re a solid company. I’ve been really happy with them over the years.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Get them on board. Be open and honest about what you want to achieve. Listen to their advice. They’re a good team.

Web Development for Permit Management Platform
"They’re forward-thinking and can capture things we haven’t even thought of."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Permits.com
What challenge were you trying to address with Coral Edge?
We needed a feature set built for a Fortune 40 pilot.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The most important thing was that we were able to trust them. Through legal documents, we gave them access to proprietary knowledge. Then, we laid out what the technology needed to do and built it. We call the whole solution a data hydration pool, and Coral edge created a mechanism to hydrate our data sources and keep them the most updated in real-time.
The tool aggregates large pools of contractor data, analyzes it, and returns insights that a company wouldn’t have otherwise. It can help save millions in yearly costs to big corporations that use subcontractors. Fortune 40’s can use it at the moment they have a lead to aid in a sales process.
What is the team composition?
I work with three people directly: the CTO, the project manager, and the implementer. Finally, they have a team that dives in and does the hard work. I’m not sure how many people that is in total.
How did you come to work with Coral Edge?
They came as a referral through someone I trusted immensely, an early mentor of mine. A long time ago the CTO of Coral Edge and this person worked together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over between $100,000–$200,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve used it and it works. The project was a feature in a larger product, so the metric would be usage, which is at 100% because of how it’s integrated.
How did Coral Edge perform from a project management standpoint?
I love their discovery process and how they align with expectations. They’re attentive to our outreach throughout the build. I come from a home-builder background, and there are several things you have to get right early on in the process of building a house for it to go up nicely. If you get them wrong, then it doesn’t go nicely. What I think separates Coral Edge is that they save you the technical debt of going backward.
They’re forward-thinking and can capture things we haven’t even thought of. It almost got frustrating how well that they were able to catch us. They present those questions very far in advance of the build.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I love it when we think we’ve answered all the questions and then they send us a very specific question we haven’t thought of yet. They save us so much time and money by preventing us from having to go back and rework something. Additionally, they hit our milestones consistently.
I recall a time when significant changes (our fault) had to be made within two days of demoing our product to a Fortune 40. The team at The Coral Edge jumped on calls at all hours of the night and worked tirelessly to get us ready for our demo. You will be hard-pressed to find a company like The Coral Edge. They really get what it means to be partners in success.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would have to be really picky to find something.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure that the project manager fully understands what you’re trying to achieve at a high level and a granular level. If they don’t, then educate them. I spent a good amount of time upfront getting their project manager up to speed on our company and our way of compliance in our industry. If they don’t have the necessary context, the project won’t work.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We have a supplemental PK-12, digital STEM+ curriculum aligned to national/state standards.
For what projects/services did your company hire Coral Edge?
We had a very outdated website and platform and it was time to get a fresh look.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal for this project was the clean up our online footprint via our website and platform.
How did you select this vendor?
We were referred to them by a mutual associate who highly recommended them.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Coral Edge came in and evaluated all of our online assets and mapped out our current structure. After we laid out then structure we began to discuss our goals/objectives and came up with a plan of how to improve and modernize them all.
What was the team composition?
We only dealt with our two Leads Ben and Kirsti who managed the project flow super well. We were all in constant communication managing all the action items we had pending and we moved through everything pretty seamlessly.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
This project revamped our online presence dramatically. The last time we did anything to our platform was over 5 years ago. With the changes in technology and design, it was much needed. Our customers love the new site and platform and its ease of use.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
When there are different departments involved things get to be a little hectic but with the Coral Edge team, the communication flowed nicely. Ben and Kirtsi arranged a great way for us to track progress, add any notes/comments we had. I felt we always had our input acknowledged and issues resolved throughout the process.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Honestly the work ethic. Any time we had an issue whether it be a late night or during the weekend Coral Edge made themselves available to us throughout the buildout. It's nice to see that kind of dedication from a company.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Honestly, I can't think of anything. Our project was completed earlier than expected with all of our issues addressed quickly.
As a result of Coral Edge’s work, the client saw a reduction in bill processing time that led to an increase in cash flow. The team at Coral Edge was responsive, honest, and hardworking, making them an excellent ongoing partner.
