Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a Creative Project Manager for Otter Box. Our company create phone cases and screen protection solutions for variety of phones. I oversee creative assets development and delivery.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Ctrl Shift VFX?

Every product launch is its own beast with numerous assets needed to be developed on a tight deadline. The big need with each product launch is animated product features videos. Depending on the launch we get 4-8 animated product feature videos requests. Working with renders and animations is highly specialized and time-consuming process. Since we are not able to support those requests internally, we outsource those animated feature videos creation to Ctrl Shift VFX.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of those videos is to highlight product feature in a fun, colorful and engaging manner, in order to generate excitement about the product and to increase sales.

How did you select this vendor?

My team has done a lot of research in effort to find a reasonably priced, creative and available to work within our timelines vendor. We have tried several vendors but Ctrl Shift VFX delivered the most creative solutions at the reasonable price within our timelines. Very quickly Ctrl Shift VFX become our go-to vendor for all our video animation needs.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The animated video process normally starts with the internal kick off. Before we include the vendor in our conversation, we create a script. Once that is approved, we send the scripts and product cads with reference images to Ctrl Shift VFX. At this point Ctrl Shift VFX provides us with a quote and a timeline. The first round of review are product models. We check those for accuracy and once approved we move into animation phase. We usually get 2 rounds of the animation review before we are ready to export renders for a final output.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Ctrl Shift VFX is extremely responsive and easy to work with. They are very intuitive and creative, and they pick things up very quickly, thus there is no need for excessive conference calls or hand holding. They are also very flexible, so if there is a last-minute feedback that throws a wrench into a process, they pivot quickly to address that.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The animated videos the Ctrl Shift VFX created for us are very well received by our internal teams, costumers and consumers. Because of how engaging and fun those videos are we getting more and more request for those. Those videos create excitement about the product and help push product off the shelves.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Ctrl Shift VFX team is very responsive and easy to work with. Projects move fast with frequent updates all the way through the delivery date. They are very good at providing creative solutions to problems at head. They also constantly update their processes to make the work more efficient and to bring the production cost down.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I like most about working with Ctrl Shift VFX team is their creativity. Their extremely talented and knowledgeable in their filed but in addition to that they are able to bring live and fun into the project. I have worked with other vendors that I received a solid final product from. However, other vendors' level of execution and creativity doesn't match what I get from the Ctrl Shift VFX team. Are there any areas for improvement?

Stay young and fresh and creative and keep doing wat you are doing.
