Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the general manager at El Novillo Alegre, a meat production company founded more than 50 years ago with around 70 employees.
What challenges were you trying to address with Conecta 361?
We have physical stores but we wanted to innovate. Even though Uruguay is probably the first meat producer in the world, there weren’t many companies selling online. We asked them to develop a platform for online sales.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed our e-commerce platform for web and mobile and managed all advertising.

We worked with two or three people.

I already knew the founder of the company, knew about their work and I liked what they had done. At first I wasn’t completely sure about the project as I didn’t know if it was going to be a good investment, but we decided to give it a go.

We started working together in 2017 and the engagement is ongoing.

We didn’t know what to expect because we were facing an untapped market—people were not used to buying meat online—but we’ve had great results. We currently have about 120 delivery orders per day, many of which come through the e-commerce platform.

We communicated through email and held meetings. They were very efficient and quick. They worked professionally and were strict with all deadlines.

They worked on all of our social media platforms, except YoutTube, focusing on increasing our conversion rates.
