The world-famous seafood restaurant had a problem. Their off-the-shelf SaaS Lobster Reward App needed updates. As is the case with most off-the-shelf solutions, updating the app was time consuming, costly and in some cases not possible. Concepta delivered Red Lobster an app that not only integrated with their technology, but also gave them complete control over the user experience, the long-term vision of the app and of course their intellectual property.
After speaking with multiple vendors, Red Lobster was impressed by our portfolio and technical knowledge and decided to partner with us. Red Lobster also benefitted from having a local vendor that can meet in-person to have collaborative meetings when needed. It was during one of our early, in-person meetings that we recommended the use of React Native and NodeJS as a hybrid solution that would allow the app to be managed by a single code base for both the Android and Apple marketplaces.
Concepta built a tailored app solution that tracks users’ rewards points by receipt and awards discounts and bonuses based on the frequency of their restaurant visits. In addition, the app also provides Red Lobster’s menus in full and intuitively integrates with Grubhub and other delivery apps , allowing users to track their deliveries.
The app we delivered not only tracks points, discounts, and bonuses, it also allows diners to order their meals after perusing their delicious-looking menus. And our efforts paid off. The numbers we achieved with the Red Lobster Rewards app speak for themselves: its currently carrying a 4.9 out of 5-star rating based on nearly 80,000 reviews in the Mac App store alone.

Having been chosen by Warner Music to create the Hunter Hayes official app, we couldn’t resist blending technology categories, just like the award-winning artist’s music crosses musical genres.
We were excited about integrating new technologies like LED wristbands and crowd-sourced videos into an app that enhances the experience of being at a live music concert. We blended these features into our app to allow Hunter Hayes fans the ability to connect with the artist, integrate with their LED wristband, and get access to exclusive content from Hunter himself! This gave the fans a personalized experience and for the first time ever, allowed Warner Music direct access to concert attendees for personalized marketing and fan insights like never before.
We were able to build the app from the ground up in only 45 days and achieve over 20,000 downloads on the first day of its release. And it truly is a remarkable experience to witness tens of thousands of music fans’ unique, app-integrated LED wristbands lighting up in response to the different events occurring during one of Hunter’s performances. Wristband activation required fans to create an account which provided Warner Music with monetizable demographic and engagement data.
Watching as a sea of LED wristbands react to various parts of the young performer’s concert, from commands from Hayes himself to the proximity of high-tech beach balls bouncing through the crowd, is a sight to behold.
When asked about the app-integrated wristband, Hunter remarked on how unique the concept was, saying: "This is the first time that this particular technology with the use of the wristbands and a couple of other things [has] ever been on the road."

As the leading prepaid, no-contract wireless service provider in the United States, TracFone had a problem. With 400 retail locations and over 21 million subscribers across the country, this subsidiary of Verizon Communications specializes in putting phones in people’s hands as efficiently as possible – to continue growing their market share, they needed to bring some of that efficiency to their business operations.
They reached out to several large tech companies and were quoted over 1 million dollars. Thanks to our small team, low overhead, and agile development process, Concepta was able to offer the same high level of app functionality and customization for a much more reasonable investment.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the owner and CEO of a fitness company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Concepta?
We were looking to develop an exercise program app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Concepta developed a mobile app. The team built both an iOS and Android version of the app. The platform allows clients to track their progress towards fitness goals, communicate with me on a private level, and watch training videos. It essentially allows me to be their private trainer without being there in person.
What is the team composition?
My main points of contact are Monique (Account Manager) and Thomas (VP of Business Development). I also work with 6–8 engineers.
How did you come to work with Concepta?
I started doing research into local app developers on Google. Concepta stuck out to me because they seemed to be highly invested in meeting customer demands. They also had previous experience working with people in the fitness industry. They were willing to listen to all of my concerns and gears and reassured me they would be able to meet my goals in a timely manner.

We have invested around $35,000–$40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement with Concepta began in September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
While the app has not yet launched, I have already begun discussing the app with my clients and getting their feedback and need That way, when the app does launch, it will meet all of our client’s expectations. I look at it as an investment in my clients.
How did Concepta perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve met every deadline so far. Concepta is very on top of it and organized. They get things done in a timely manner.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Concepta is invested in providing the best service possible. Not only do they provide good customer service, but they listen to all my concerns and provide suggestions.

No, everything has been great. We’ve had no issues so far.

Kingdom Strollers provides stroller rentals to tens of thousands of tourists who visit the theme park resorts of Orlando each year.
For what projects/services did your company hire Concepta?
We hired Concepta to manage our website and create a platform where our guests could reserve their stroller rental in advance and conform with the logistics of delivering to Disney owners resorts.
What were your goals for this project?
We needed to make a policy change implemented by Disney very clear to our guests. This policy change would alter the way our business was operated and impact the last 6 years of of how our guests were to receive the stroller rental at Disney owned resorts.
How did you select this vendor?
We have worked with Concepta for the last several years and their work had always been excellent. I knew they had the skill set and understanding of how our business operated and the insight into the dynamics of our operations.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Our longtime practice of being able to deliver Strollers to the luggage rooms of the Disney owned resorts had suddenly been cut short by the change in procedures implemented by Disney. Now we faced with the obstacle of meeting guests face to face for the delivery and pick up of their stroller rental.
Concepta was able to rewrite the website to give guests the option of several designated timeslots at the guest's chosen resort for us to meet them. This timeslots were date dependent and variable depending on the day of the week. The timeslots also varied by the different resorts.
What was the team composition?
We worked directly with a Coordinator, Eddy and two lead developers, Emanual and Raul.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We were able to take the lead in the niche market and proactively market ourselves as being 100% ready for the switch in procedures. We did not have any delay in our reservation process and were able to position ourselves ahead of the curve.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Or Coordinator, Eddy would get a broad sense of our needs and funnel those down to the Lead Developers. We had in-person meetings as well as Zoom meetings to review progress, address questions and concerns or troubleshoot roadblocks. They also made valuable suggestions that lead to greater efficiency and clarity.
What did you find most impressive about this company?

The Disney Event Group is a department of The Walt Disney Company that services corporate and private events on Disney property and in Disney Resorts and conference spaces. My role was Project Manager for the Creative Media department and I was in charge of managing all projects requiring design and production.

Creative Media hired Concepta to take the redesign of the website and help come up with a new sitemap, better flow for all of the categories and content, better showcase event photography and video.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to make the flow of the entire website much more user friendly, visually more appealing to excite guests about booking their event on property, better showcase hero shots and make it much cleaner and easier to see how Disney Event Group partners could also help support their event with decor, floral, and other elements.
How did you select this vendor?
Concepta came in and listened to our wish list of items and provided samples to help find solutions for our needs. They presented a number of fresh ideas and solutions that really appealed to us and what we were looking for in a partner. They invested time to really understand what our department did, who our client base was, how we best presented our services, and how we could really enhance the guest experience. All of these reasons made them a clear choice.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They developed the entire website from start to finish using the designs provided to them. They created custom image carousels that fit our needs. They created a back end system to allow us to make on the fly updates to our site and keep content changing so that the guest felt like there was always something interesting and new to review. The provided maintenance and additional programming support as the site was being tested by our partners and guests to make adjustments that better suited our needs.
What was the team composition?
We had three main points of contact that worked with us based on our budget, a project manager that made sure that everything was progressing on time and on schedule, and a lead programmer that managed a team behind the scenes to address any updates that could not be handled through the back end system.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The new look of the website was a complete success. It showcased our team and partners in the best way possible by allowing our media to really shine. It provided a great vehicle for guests to see multiple package options, incredible photography, and lots of media samples.

Project management was fantastic, the entire team was very responsive and always reacted to requests in a timely manner.

They designed, developed, and are helping to implement a sales reporting dashboard that is mobile friendly. We worked with leaders in our sales department to give feedback for what is needed by our team.

We worked with one main developer the entire project. There were others that were on his team but our point of contact stayed the same.

We are still in the process of refining the dashboard and plan on rolling it out by the end of the year.

Having the same point of contact during the entire project has been great. We haven't had to explain our needs other than the first time and Raul understood what we were looking for.

The dedication of their VP of Business Development was great. He has been there from the very first meeting and if at any point there were any questions on the project he would get answers immediately to help maintain the flow and communication.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Making sure we continue communication through the project. Sometimes when the developer is in the process of doing the work it is easier for him to just continue it rather than stopping to let us know what the timeframe is. Making sure your customer knows where the project stands is very important!

We needed to build an extremely complex e-commerce platform that would allow for hundreds of retailers across the country to display thousands of different products, with different prices all under the GS umbrella. Due to strict US liquor laws, money had to be batched into each retailer's account daily and had to be compliant with the US three-tier system and each State law. Several third part partners needed to be integrated to the app as well such as Stripe, Sygnifyd, Ship Engine, Narvar, Intercom, to name a few...
What was the team composition?
Initially a Director of Operations, Project Manager, two front end developers and two back end developers. We increased to an addition team leader, a Q&A specialist and a designer to accommodate the unusually high level of design and branding (think apple level design)
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They were able to deliver gorgeous and fully functional app and website under all the necessary constraints we had to work around.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Extremely. Two meeting per week as well as detailed spreadsheet for each sprint outlining each single item to be worked on during the current Sprint, with time estimates and back log for the next sprint
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Professionalism. Their ability to efficiently problem solve and get to the core of the problem stood out. Efficiency in their team's work. not a lot of hours seemed to have been lost on trivial things. Accountability for mistakes. Ability to resolve mistakes permanently.
Are there any areas for improvement?
At first yes with communication and workflow but the adding of the extra members to the team solved that. It was an extremely efficient machine after a few months.
While the app has not yet launched, the platform is based around the needs and expectations of future users, setting it up for success. Concepta provides high-quality services in a timely manner, leading to a smooth ongoing partnership. The team is hard-working and experienced.
