I’m the co-owner of PM Fasteners. We’re a national fastener distributor.
For what projects/services did your company hire CompuData?
We’ve been using Sage 100 management software and the Sage ERP solution in our business operations for decades. We hired CompuData to for cloud-hosting services and full IT support.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to outsource our IT needs for ongoing support.
How did you select this vendor?
I initially agreed to partner with them because I knew and trusted Tyler, the former head of cloud services at CompuData. He’s since left the company.
Describe the project in detail.
CompuData is responsible for hosting our Sage 100 system and our CRM using Office 365. We also asked them to assist with data, PC, and printer support.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They’ve moved all of our data to the cloud, but the price was high for the level of support they offer. CompuData took a while to complete the implementations, and the final results contained multiple mistakes. Our initial cloud speed was slow because their team failed to optimize our connections.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
After Tyler left the company, they stopped providing the quality customer service that we initially hired them for. They’ve forgotten how to treat their customers. Overall, the workflow was poor.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
There isn’t anything that stands out.
Are there any areas for improvement?
They’re not customer-focused. They only offer rigid contracts, and their performance doesn’t meet my standards.
After an extended period, CompuData moved the company’s data to the cloud. Their work contained mistakes, and they failed to optimize the connections. They showed poor management and communication skills. Overall, the price isn’t worth the quality of their services.
