I am the CRM & Digital Projects Responsible at NAOS Turkey. We operate in dermocosmetics sector for more than 13 years in Turkey. Our company has about 160 employess and we serve pharmacies all along the country. I oversee our digital products and vendor relationships.

Our company’s loyalty mobile application was created over 4 years ago and had not been updated since. We had noticed a steady decline in downloads and ratings over the past few years and decided to invest in a new mobile app. We do not have any in-house developers, so we needed to outsource the entire redesign and rebuild.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to see our mobile app engagement and downloads double by the end of the year and we wanted to increase the number of inquiries that we received through our contact form. We also needed the mobile app to be easy to update on our end, so we were interested in a simple, user friendly platform.

We selected this company based on the quality of their final proposal.

We had a couple meetings with the company and they prepared the concept and wireframes. After a couple iterations and discussions with our marketing team, we finalized the design and provided feedback. The company’s project management method consists of 5 stages; UX, UI, Analysis, Development and Publish.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned 1 project manager, 1 UX designer, 1 UI designer, 1 Business Analyst, 1 iOS developer, 1 Android developer and QA resources.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 6 months after our new app was launched, we saw approximately 15.000 downloads and we continue to hear positive feedback on the functions of the app from our custumers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We received a couple warnings if a deadline was not going to be met which happened a few times. We were able to communicate all members of the project team and we communicate through e-mails, phone calls, conference calls and meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by the knowledge that this company had about user experience and interface design. I learned much more than I thought.

Everything can always be done faster, but were satisfied with the quality of their work.

After we had choosen Commencis, we had a series of workshops at which the needs of the bank were discussed and then the company offered its solutions based on best practices and trend analysis. Commencis created a unique design of the app and after some changes due to our comments started development according to raod map and plan.

Commencis assigned project manager, account manager, analyst, UX/UI designer, 1-2 developers for each platform (we had 3 different platforms), QA team. I contacted mostly with project manager, account manager and analyst, but we also had some workshops involving developers.

After the first launch of our application the number of our customers increases every day and we are receiving good comments in stores (average rate above 4). Also after 1 year of the first launch we gained 1st position in mobile bank applications rank.

Our communications were constant and frequent, we always received information on the status of the project and in case of problems we solved them together via all the available channels like Slack, Skype, emails and whatsapp.

They came to us one-two times a year with the best offers to improve the application and suggested how to make it better and more convenient for users.

Of course, management always wants to get new features faster, so they need to find the best balance between speed and quality
