Introduce your business and what you do there
I’m the co-founder of a web development agency specializing in developing hybrid and native apps for Android and iOS.
What challenges were you trying to address with CodersNow?
We used to work for SMEs, so our team of developers was small. Once we started working with larger companies and more complex projects, we realized that we needed to find external support, so we decided to hire outsourced developers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We assessed the needs we had for the project and provided them with the information on the technologies we needed the developers to be proficient at, like how many hours we needed them to be available. They were in charge of finding the developers for this project, filled the paperwork, did the interviews, and hired the right developers for our project.
How did you come to work with CodersNow?
After some Google research, we found Codersnow and started working on a first project with them.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent $50,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing with maintenance and updates.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still in the testing phase, so we don’t have a way to measure the impact yet, although we have had a positive impact internally.
How did CodersNow perform from a project management standpoint?
We don’t have any issue with that; they are in charge of all the administration, payments, and paperwork, which works very well. We use Trello as a project management tool and communicate mainly via email and WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They provide excellent support; whenever we have any issue, they handle it right away with full-time availability and great follow-up.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — we haven’t had any issue with their work so far.

For what projects/services did your company hire CodersNow?
CodersNow is sourcing and recruiting Technical talent in Mexico
How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?
We evaluated several recruiting firms, and selected CodersNow because of their software development focus. Additionally, they were easy to work with through the negotiation and contracting process, and had competitive rates.
Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.
To Date, we have sourced six technical professionals, including Security Analysts and Desktop Architect and System Administrator. They are currently sourcing Software Engineers.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with 4 individuals, including recruiters, recruiting managers and founders.
Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?
So far, our Engineering Managers are very happy with the caliber of candidate hired through CodersNow.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
This was our first initiative hiring outside the US, and as such the workflow and processes started off with some glitches. As we mature, these processes will continue to improve. Communication with the team has never been an issue.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are a great group of people to work with.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Our conversion rates are low for this type of recruiting. They could improve their screening techniques to narrow the top of the funnel and increase candidate quality.
CodersNow's efforts have had a positive internal impact on the client's company. They lead a full-scope work helping the partner with several areas of the project. Their full-time availability is also key to the excellent issue support and follow-up they provide to the engagement.
