We wanted to attract developers in a short enough time to get our product to market.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by asking them to develop a small videoconferencing app, as a test. Since then, we’ve been working on a substantially larger project. Next, they’re developing a consumer version of a product we’ve been selling to the healthcare industry. I’d consider it a social network.

What is the team composition?

We have two iOS developers, two Android developers, one backend developer, one frontend developer, a project manager, and a QA manager.

How did you come to work with Code Inspiration?

We started with a list of 8-10 different companies. We had a test for those companies, and I chose to proceed with them after that.

We’ve invested approximately $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in September 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The first half of the project has been a success, and it’s been released to the market in iOS. We’ve been asked to scope the next iteration of that. The other part should be ready by July. The beautiful thing about working with them is that they stick to the plan.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve exceeded all of our expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Code Inspiration has ideas, which might take you a bit longer, but make the product better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to start as early as possible. They’re quite good at grasping the idea.

We were looking for an offshore development service provider to help us build a travel platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team at Code Inspiration built the platform from scratch using Laravel, among other development tools & languages. They worked on the front- and backend. The app provides one-stop travel solutions as a new model for traveling.

What is the team composition?

At different stages, we’ve worked with five or six people. There is also a project manager.

Our engagement with Code Inspiration started in November 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team finished the beta version, and it will launch in March locally. The beta will launch in the US and Canada after that. Through Jira, we used a backlog to show how much work was done in each sprint.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great at meeting deadlines. The project manager helps communication flow smoothly, and we used Jira to manage everything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team at Code Inspiration listens to our requests and needs while providing their professional ideas and suggestions for the project. They’re flexible, adapting to things that aren’t necessarily according to plan.

Are there any areas they could improve?

So far, there isn’t anything.

Clients need to present their vision and goals in a detailed manner. Be open to their solutions as professionals.

I am the CEO of ClientCard Inc. a new SaaS company. We offer a loyalty application replacing the old-fashioned plastic and punch cards. I am an entrepreneur, and, for the last 10 years, I have been specializing in mobile app development as well as CRM development, start-ups, and UX/UI product management.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Inspiration?

We needed someone to build our mobile application for our SaaS loyalty application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us build native mobile applications for iOS and Android using Objective-C and Java.

In-house, we have backend developers, a designer, as well as a product owner. We approached them with a UI and UX design and scope of work that we produced in-house. They both helped us finalize the scope of work and advised us on how we should treat the project. We don’t have in-house competencies for iOS or Android, so they help us out with that. It almost feels like they are part of our in-house team.

What is the team composition?

We usually work with three people. We have a project manager, an iOS developer and an Android developer. Sometimes they assign another developer to us if the current one is on vacation or has been moved to another project. They are really good at swapping them and passing on the project information so that we don’t have to teach the new developer what to do and what the project is about. I also work with Yaroslav (CEO, Code Inspiration), and he is a really cool guy.

I found them online, maybe through Upwork or a referral. We worked with different companies but have worked with Code Inspiration the longest with our core project. They are now the only supplier for us.

We began working with them in 2016, and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They are actively helping us with the different growing challenges that we face. Everyone is happy, otherwise, we wouldn’t be growing. We have the backend, which is the CRM, but the key thing that’s used daily is the app. If the app wasn’t great, we would have a lot of problems and our clients wouldn’t stay with us. It’s the app and the support that matters, and it all works well.

We see maybe one support ticket in a two-week period, and it’s usually about us not knowing how to do something. We rarely have an emergency for which we have to drop everything and fix it. I am doing this review because they have truly helped us with our ups and downs and tricky situations.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of the time, when we have active phases for the project, they are involved in our weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their quality of work and client orientation are impressive. They adapt when needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have been working together for such a long time. There is always a place to improve but there is nothing serious. They are such small things that they aren’t even worth mentioning.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are client orientated, fully hands-on, and always honest about the cost and what you face. They show you the way, about any problems you might face because of a choice, but it’s always up to the client.

We’ve found them online, then decided to visit them in Belarus and after our visit decided to proceed working together.

Once we decided to work together we started with full specification guide, consultancy and then decided regarding the tech stack and iterations of the development Technological stack: Java for the back end, javascript for the front end, MySQL database.

We worked closely with the project manager. The team composition was 2 front end developers, one back end and QA.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have just got the release version, and we already noticed that the work which was previously done manually, now is perfectly automated and we got more free time to focus on our business goals.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were not only developing according to the requirements provided, but as well provided consultancy how to improve the system. That helped a lot to get the CRM even better then we initially planned. Management was good. They reacted very fast to all our concerns and provided a necessary explanation. we got beta and release version exactly the same day we agreed on. So all good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They provide deep consultancy and deliver what was agreed on, if there is something that is out of their expertise - they don’t hesitate to tell it and are fully responsible for their delivered software. As well as a guarantee they provide one month of free fixes and maintenance of the developed software.

I am the CEO of IPJukebox and we provide financial services. I’m an IT solutions provider by trade, and the financial services solution we brought online is the result of lots of other efforts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Inspiration?

We needed to develop our transaction portal to engage with consumer usage and track financial transactions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I needed them to create the graphical user interface (GUI) that would allow clients to interface with our financial services and allow them to review, report, and maintain financial transactions. They developed the backend in PHP. They built the frontend in Angular and worked in Symfony.

What is the team composition?

I worked with several individuals from their team. They had team members who worked on the design of the frontend and interaction with the backend and financial gateways.

How did you come to work with Code Inspiration?

They were strongly recommended to us by a gentleman we had worked with for a couple of other projects.

We worked together from Jan.–Aug. 2019.

They launched the platform we needed and we’ve received positive feedback. A client of mine saw the end result and let us know how great it was.

I've been in the business for about 35 years, and the most challenging aspect of any project has always been working with the developers. They’re top-notch—the best that I've worked with so far. They were very good, very cooperative, very creative, and quite impressed.

If they can't deliver something, they let you know.

No, I think they're spot on.

You need to have a good scope of work. Explain to them what you want and what you expect in the end. Once they understand that, you won’t have to tell them what to do. I would highly recommend anybody with development needs give them an opportunity.

We reached out to them to build a demo and MVP from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided all the elements of our proof of concept. Since the start of our collaboration, we've added functionality to it bit by bit. They parsed some APIs, including Skyscanner and Google. They built the frontend with Angular, used Java and JavaScript for the backend, and MySQL for the database.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a project manager, a frontend developer and designer, a backend developer, and a tester.

How did you come to work with Code Inspiration?

I found them on Freelancer. I had a lot of bids for the project, but their dedicated teams and their design portfolio set them apart from the other companies who applied.

We've spent $12,000 to date.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in February 2019 and is ongoing. We just finished an itineration, but we're still working through issues and will begin new elements next month.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've had a lot of signups, and we just added a Google and Facebook login. We haven't released the demo to the public yet, so we don't have much in the way of metrics just yet. We are on course, and Code Inspiration has exceeded all my expectations. They did go over time on some of their estimates, but they've always respected the budget.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very cooperative. I had big ideas with a lot of features, and they encouraged me to focus on the key aspects. They set a steady pace and are very helpful. Dealing directly with developers would have been much more complicated.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Other firms will promise more but give less. Code Inspiration is much more realistic than any other agency I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only issues we face are mostly surrounding time zone differences. Those aren’t their fault, it's just the way the world turns.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clearly prioritize what you want to achieve. Do your research, especially if you're using new technologies. Understand the project before you begin, which will save time.

I had a concept for a marketplace comparison portal in Saudi Arabia. It provides the best results for specific products. I’m the owner.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Inspiration?

I needed to improve the search results for our website and to create Android and iOS apps based on the same idea.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we established specifications for both the website work and the iOS and Android apps, after which we started the work.

They began by working on English queries, and later Arabic—the primary language of its audience. For the online markets not available in Arabic, they used a translator to generate specific product descriptions.

Beyond that, they designed the Android and iOS app as well. I had some issues with the website’s responsiveness and CSS code, so they hired a PHP developer and a plug-in developer to work on it.

What is the team composition?

Yulia (Business Development Manager, Code Inspiration) was my primary contact, and they also assigned a project manager, whom I went to for technical issues. There were 6–7 people in total.

I posted a job on Freelancer.com.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project between April–June 2019. I plan on working with them again on other tasks, 1–2 months from now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve shared Code Inspiration’s work with my colleagues, and they liked it. Hopefully, the website and apps will prove to be a good investment.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

They kept me up to date on their progress through Jira. I was able to check the activity of each team member, and I could add comments when necessary. They worked within the schedule, with no delays whatsoever. Whenever I asked them a question, they got back to me over Skype and provided relevant documents. I also had calls with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team itself is very impressive. It’s hard to coordinate a group of people, and the fact that they have 30 individuals working together is really impressive. Each member has their own tasks, which came together to form our project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are no improvements needed for them. They always know what to do.

Let the team write a functional and technical description of the task. They helped me a lot when it came to writing functional specifications. I’d worked with 2–3 other teams before Code Inspiration, but hadn’t liked the experience.

I’m a technical engineer at Tenova Advanced Technologies, a company that develops chemical technologies and does engineering for organizations around the world. I lead the research and development team.

We were using various Microsoft services, such as Excel, and wanted to have our own professional software that would also allow us to automate our business process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We highlighted the functionalities that we wanted in the product and worked together with Code Inspiration to flesh out the idea. They then put together a few different solutions, and we chose the option we liked the most. The product enables us to consolidate all of our staffing documents, supplier lists, and client information into one tool. We periodically reengage with Code Inspiration to add new functionalities to the platform.

Before starting development, Code Inspiration advised us on the best technology stack to use given the current market conditions and the resources they had available. We provided us with a brief, and they came back to us with a quote. Code Inspiration then delivered the products on time.

We later expanded their role to create new features for our main product suite. They also worked on the UI/UX interface using agile methodology. Once we were satisfied with Code Inspiration’s work, we engaged them for a full-time contract.

I am the export development manager at Saccal. We manufacture and assemble diesel generators and power solutions. We primarily export to the Middle East and Africa.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Inspiration?

We contracted with Code Inspiration to develop an internal ERP tool to connect all departments within our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prior to working with Code Inspiration, we didn’t have an efficient or automated procedure to transfer information between our sales team, our warehouse team, or our accounting personnel. The system Code Inspiration made allows for sales orders and sales logs to be transferred seamlessly from one team to the next as necessary. Everything is implemented into one system so that if one salesman leaves and another enters, they can access the same logs.

What is the team composition?

The Code Inspiration team consisted of 4–5 people, including a project manager, development personnel, and a QA technician.

How did you come to work with Code Inspiration?

We had been using a system developed by a company based near us in Lebanon, but that system had its flaws. In my search for a new company, I learned that Code Inspiration had many promising reviews. I decided on them fairly quickly because they were polite and communicative.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–August 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our business processes are now much more streamlined and automated. This gives us more time to make cold calls, bring in new leads, and potentially increase our sales.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

Internally, we’re not very technologically minded in this way, so we spoke from an end user point of view about what we needed. Code Inspiration worked with little oversight to implement something that fully met our needs. Despite being a remote partner, we found it easy to communicate—usually through Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their technical knowledge stands out, but they’re also a pleasure to work with because of their professionalism. All work was performed remotely, but it all worked out well. I highly recommend them.
