We’ve found them online, then decided to visit them in Belarus and after our visit decided to proceed working together.

Once we decided to work together we started with full specification guide, consultancy and then decided regarding the tech stack and iterations of the development Technological stack: Java for the back end, javascript for the front end, MySQL database.

What was the team composition?

We worked closely with the project manager. The team composition was 2 front end developers, one back end and QA.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have just got the release version, and we already noticed that the work which was previously done manually, now is perfectly automated and we got more free time to focus on our business goals.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were not only developing according to the requirements provided, but as well provided consultancy how to improve the system. That helped a lot to get the CRM even better then we initially planned. Management was good. They reacted very fast to all our concerns and provided a necessary explanation. we got beta and release version exactly the same day we agreed on. So all good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They provide deep consultancy and deliver what was agreed on, if there is something that is out of their expertise - they don’t hesitate to tell it and are fully responsible for their delivered software. I am the CEO of IPJukebox and we provide financial services. I’m an IT solutions provider by trade, and the financial services solution we brought online is the result of lots of other efforts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Inspiration?

We needed to develop our transaction portal to engage with consumer usage and track financial transactions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I needed them to create the graphical user interface (GUI) that would allow clients to interface with our financial services and allow them to review, report, and maintain financial transactions. They developed the backend in PHP. They built the frontend in Angular and worked in Symfony.

What is the team composition?

I worked with several individuals from their team. They had team members who worked on the design of the frontend and interaction with the backend and financial gateways.

How did you come to work with Code Inspiration?

They were strongly recommended to us by a gentleman we had worked with for a couple of other projects.

The team itself is very impressive. It’s hard to coordinate a group of people, and the fact that they have 30 individuals working together is really impressive. Each member has their own tasks, which came together to form our project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Code Inspiration helped develop an Android app for our photo-monitoring system. The app is used by clients to assist our data collection specialists in the retail auditing effort. Each person receives their separate set of products to be monitored along with the SKU of each product set. The person in charge of product monitoring can see the parameters they need to fill in for a particular SKU like the picture, the price, the barcode, the exact location of their specialist, and the specific time and date of the data being collected.

When all the work is complete, our specialists use the app to transfer the information to a server. Then, the portals connected to the store are automatically renamed according to the log file that the clients provide us. According to the barcode, the characteristics are imported for each particular SKU. The app is complete and we use it on a daily basis. They’re currently developing something for the server side of the system.

They worked on a new large project for us. Once again, the solution consisted of an Android part as well as a server part, which actually operates the whole project. The software is aimed at collecting prices for a lot of SKUs in many locations of Russia. It accumulates the data from all of the fieldwork partners across the whole country into one location.

We cooperated with four different divisions: the first was the team that worked on the software, and we had a team that worked on the Android part. We also had a team of testers and one project manager who managed all of the divisions. That person was able to address any questions we had if needed.

We have spent about $200,000 USD to date.

All of the software is finalized, and the guarantee period is over, which lasted two months. We are currently receiving technical support from them.

How did Code Inspiration perform from a project management standpoint?

They manage everything well. We use Jira.

Communication is easy. We have a weekly Skype call with the project manager that lasts for an hour. We also chat daily on Slack with the developers.
