The company asked all the detailed questions about the highly technological business intelligence solution for us, the booking system and sources of data for the BI system. We planned the dashboards for holding owners and branches. They developed the drafts of them to show on the next step. Later they have got the data from our ERP system to calculate and reflect in reporting solutions.
The system was implemented and personal dashboards developed for the owners. The order was ready and personnel studied how to work with reporting dashboards and create new ones.

Today we're sharing a case of implementing Power BI in fashion retail. What's interesting about this case is that we had to start off on a platform created by someone else.
The issues Helen Marlen Group faced:
- The company already had a working BI that extracted data. But it often missed certain pieces of data, so the output needed frequent checks
- In-house implementation didn't quite work. The employee to whom the project was delegated didn't fully master Power BI

One huge Medical network came to us with three things in mind.
The Medical netword needed:

One of the largest organizations in the power industry has contacted us at Cobit Solutions.
This case is an example of how BI implementation in the power industry can provide the company with competitive advantages.
What did they need?
Donbass Energo was trying to stay ahead of the competition and was willing to see what Power BI could contribute.
Despite the large money turnover in this industry, the energy companies tend to stay conservative. Which means that the ability to enhance technology could potentially give Donbass Energy a huge competitive advantage, but must be carried out with extreme care
What did they get?
- Dashboard with the dynamics of marginal income;
- Understanding of the topicality of their price and volume proposal;
- Info on the distribution of the daily average electrical power generation in Ukraine and the company’s share;
- Understanding of the market growth and decline trends, the power market structure with a breakdown into energy types;

Logistics problems solved through Power BI
A ligistics company approached us with a challenging question.
The problem:
They had tens of thousands parcels each month, and some of them would get stuck.
Obviously, the customers were unhappy with that, and unhappy customers means less money.
With as much volume as they had, and their parcel tracking system at that time, pinpointing the problematic stage was impossible.
Basically, the info on different parcels and different transitional stages would be stored in different ERP reports. Pinpointing the problems would take manual revision, with no guarantee that one wouldn't miss the problem having to go through thousands of reports.
What we offered:
- dashboards to watch the delays and distractions in supply chains;
- statistics on where the disruptions occur most often;
- the cost of delays or distraction
Conclusion
We calculated the sum of money the company would have lost if they kept looking for the problem with their own hands. It amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars over a couple of months - this is how much time it would've taken them to locate the problem.
Thanks to Power BI the logistics company didn't have to pay that much to find their problem.

The project was our own BI system which was really poorly developed by our own means. Cobit Solutions has realized the visualization of P&L dashboard and dashboards on top of ERP data exported into the intermediate Microsoft Azure SQL database.

Our managers searched for the vendors and interviewed all of them. We had certain budgeting limits and were looking for professionals with serious experience.

Well we started from the situation discussion and creation the working Power BI system on the plant. The vendor asked to prepare all the important metrics to track and dashboards to develop. The next stage was drafts approving and the system creation. The development and implementation took two more months. In the end the personnel were studying the workflow and how to adjust and create dashboards up to our tastes.
