Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the former manager at a telecommunications company when I worked with CMA.
What challenge were you trying to address with CMA CGM Log?
We needed a third-party logistics provider.
What was the scope of their involvement?
CMA CGM Log managed our inbound shipments by consolidating and tracking our shipments, which were placed in their warehouses in China and Vietnam. They had a dedicated team in their control tower that worked with us in communicating with vendors and managing trucks and materials. Once they coordinate with a particular vendor, they pick up the necessary shipment and prepare for transit before delivering it to us. Each shipment's tracking details were then organized in an Excel file, which we were given access to.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact was their project manager, who helped me expedite shipments and make necessary arrangements. Their control tower was comprised of four resources.
How did you come to work with CMA CGM Log?
They were already our logistics partner when I joined the company.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent between $200,000–$300,000 per month, and the fee included their factory warehouse services.
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with CMA CGM Log from December 2014–June 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measured their performance based on transportation lead times and shipment costs. CMA CGM Log efficiently met all our KPIs and worked in quick turnaround times to deliver our shipment needs. Overall, I was happy with their services and had no complaints throughout the process.
How did CMA CGM Log perform from a project management standpoint?
CMA CGM Log was a communicative team with a professional project management approach. At one point, we encountered a turnover issue that resulted in unstable staffing, but it wasn't a problem that their team couldn't fix.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were producing millions of products each month and needed a professional team to manage our logistics operations, and we were glad to have hired a team that had a solid network and exemplary skills in inbound logistics.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It took them a while to adjust to the newly implemented system in our factory. While they were able to adapt to the process and master it eventually, it could've been managed better and earlier.

Hire CMA CGM Log to take charge of your large-scale operations and big supply chains. They know the ins and outs of the industry and can help you meet your logistics needs.
