What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Deployment Time Reduced: Thanks to automation with Terraform, we cut deployment time compared to previous manual or semi-automated processes.
2. High Availability Implemented: The deployment of Active/Passive firewalls at the hub ensured seamless failover with zero downtime, as confirmed during controlled testing scenarios.
3. Security Posture Enhanced: The adoption of a Hub-and-Spoke network model, with centralized firewall enforcement, led to a reduction in policy violations and unauthorized traffic during the first audit cycle post-deployment.
4. Rapid Scalability: The modular Terraform codebase allowed us to provision new objets (spokes,routes,sl,etc.) in few minutes.
5. Operational Efficiency Improved: With standardized, codified infrastructure, troubleshooting time and manual intervention were significantly reduced.
6. Complete Infrastructure Rebuild: The entire OCI IaaS environment is able to be rebuilt from scratch using Terraform, enabling full infrastructure-as-code, improving reproducibility, and drastically reducing configuration drift.

The infrastructure and network setup were well-built, clean, and easy to understand.
The solution was efficient and scalable, and thanks to automation and a solid architecture, it will save time and costs in the long run.
The team delivered high-quality results, met all deadlines, and handled every challenge with professionalism and speed. Their expertise, especially in cloud infrastructure and automation, made a real difference. It was a smooth, efficient experience from start to finish.

Cloudthrill demonstrated excellent project management throughout the engagement. All key deliverables were completed on or ahead of schedule, even within a complex environment involving Terraform automation and a secure Hub-and-Spoke architecture on Oracle Cloud.

He consistently maintained clear timelines and provided regular updates, which ensured strong alignment between technical progress and our business objectives. When unexpected issues arose or priorities shifted, he adapted quickly and proposed effective solutions without delays.

He was highly responsive to our needs, showing strong initiative in clarifying requirements, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring all implementations met both functional and security expectations. His ability to stay organized, efficient, and flexible made a significant impact on the success of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive about this company was the exceptional level of technical expertise combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Cloudthrill demonstrated a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and network security, which was evident throughout the project.

What truly stood out was their ability to adapt to challenges as they arose. Whether it was addressing unexpected constraints, refining Terraform modules, or resolving complex routing and firewall issues, all with remarkable speed and efficiency, his dynamic problem-solving skills and proactive approach were instrumental in delivering the project on time and with high quality.

This level of adaptability and ownership is not something you encounter often, and it made the collaboration both highly effective and uniquely rewarding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Cloudthrill could have done differently?

Overall, the experience with Cloudthrill was extremely positive, and the results exceeded our expectations. If there is one area that could be improved, it would be to have more structured documentation delivered alongside each deployment milestone. While Cloudthrill was always available to explain configurations and decisions, having more formalized technical documentation or handover materials would further support long-term maintenance and knowledge transfer.

That said, given the fast pace and complexity of the project, this is a relatively minor point and did not detract from the overall success. The team's responsiveness and willingness to clarify any aspect at any time more than made up for it.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a product manager at Cineplex who manages all our Financial systems but specifically managing our PeopleSoft ERP for over twenty years .  PeopleSoft is the main focus of our team as it is one the main engines that run our business.  It is interconnected to many of our other systems and is critical to our company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cloudthrill?

We needed someone to manage our Oracle databases and OCI environment for our ERP financial system. We also needed them to manage all aspects of the network and databases and guide us with OCI.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cloudthrill set up OCI to connect to our company network securely, which included all the networking, SSO, Firewalls, Database setup and management.

What is the team composition?

For this project we worked with a core member of the Cloudthrill team.

How did you come to work with Cloudthrill?

I worked with Cloudthrill members as part of a larger implementation team that our company contracted for. At that time, I became impressed with their dedication and professionalism.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with the people from this team from mid-2022–2023.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The completion of the network, the setup of the databases, and the migration of the databases from on-prem to the cloud were the main measurable outcomes of the project. Our databases are a lot faster, and the network setup works with no issues. It has also resulted in reduced time managing the network.

How did Cloudthrill perform from a project management standpoint?

Cloudthrill was part of a larger project that was migrating our financial ERP to the cloud.  However, they were very good at managing their aspect of the project and responded very well to all our needs. We had a close relationship and their ability to manage their pieces of the project was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their technical knowledge was outstanding. If they ran into an issue, they dove into finding the answers. They always went above and beyond.
