I’m the COO of Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, a large personal injury (PI) law firm out of Louisiana servicing about seven direct market areas in the state.
What challenge were you trying to address with Click Here Digital?
About 10 years ago, our marketing department handled some digital strategies in-house. However, the vast majority of the ad spend went to traditional advertising, such as television and billboards. As we diversified our budget and discovered that more and more people were utilizing the internet to find services, we needed a stronger digital presence. We hired Click Here Digital to help us get a handle on navigating the digital advertising landscape through paid search, social media, website, and SEO.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Click Here Digital provides us with digital marketing, social media marketing (SMM), search engine marketing (SEM), SEO, and PPC services. They also run display and video ad campaigns for us. Initially, we sat down with them and explained our needs and goals. They walked us through the options and the best avenues available to achieve our desired result. Since then, they’ve been continuously helping us figure out our business needs and hone our digital strategy.
The team creates most of the advertising assets; they send them to us for approval and make our requested edits. On some assets, they collaborate with our in-house marketing team. For SMM, they manage Facebook and Instagram, and they also help us advertise on YouTube. Regarding PPC, they primarily manage ads on Google and some on Bing.
As for SEO, the team does a lot of keyword research with our marketing director steering the ship. Click Here Digital then optimizes content based on the keywords they find and then serves that back to us for final approval and posting on our website. They recently started a campaign to put in a substantial investment in some new keywords.
When we started working with them, we weren’t in every market we’re in now, and the team has helped us enter new markets. They’ve guided us to run display and video ads to ensure we’re in new consumers’ minds as we introduce ourselves. Once we understand a new market, Click Here Digital has run campaigns aiming our ads at consumers with higher purchase intent.

In the SEO space, we’ve seen some top keywords ranking on Google in much better spots than before. Initially, we focused on dominating paid search. Since we started focusing on SEO, we’ve been able to rank for many great keywords and long-tail searches, which has benefitted our brand. Thanks to those results, we’ve also seen more traffic to the website.
How did Click Here Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re phenomenal at project management. Our head account manager has some of the most meticulous and detailed notes going back 10 years documenting how our organization has changed. They also have a wealth of organized research.
Moreover, the team is extremely communicative and provides everything we need. Click Here Digital also keeps our goals in line; sometimes, we can detour a little, and they remind us what we want to achieve. In our month-to-month projects, the team keeps us on pace and running exactly the way we need to.
As for communication, we mostly use email. Our director of marketing has many standing meetings with them to guide what our month-to-month looks like. I pop into meetings from time to time when we have large-scale planning or some creative discussions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with how Click Here Digital is on board to learn about how our company operates in order to achieve our goals. Our industry is unique, and they’ve taken a special interest in understanding what motivates our clients and the thought process for someone who might choose our firm. As a result, they make the best recommendations for our organization. Over the past 10 years, they’ve spent a lot of time understanding things that I have taken years to understand and cultivate; we’ve learned together.
With some agencies, clients might move down the pecking order after some time. Providers initially put forward a great account person and then transfer that person to another account. Then, they keep giving the client different account representatives until one day, someone who’s never worked with the company is helping call the shots. That doesn’t happen with Click Here Digital; Julie has been with our account for 10 years and knows every in and out.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any complaints about them. Like any agency, they often have new shiny things they might want us to try and put budget dollars behind. However, after 10 years of working with us, they’ve become very mindful of that because they know us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The biggest advice I can give is to go in with clear goals and be willing to learn about the digital space from people who navigate it every day. While there’s a certain component where they’re selling a service, at the end of the day, Click Here Digital wants you to be a client for a long time and not to make a buck on you for a short time. Listen to their suggestions, put your dollars where they’re telling you to, and pay attention to the results. If you’re in tune and aligned with the team, I guarantee your engagement will be successful.

I’m the marketing director at a personal injury law firm. We have an in-house agency, and I handle all of our digital and traditional media buying.
What challenge were you trying to address with Click Here Digital?
We needed help with our digital marketing needs. We noticed that our keywords were dropping off with our previous SEO vendor, and we weren’t showing up on organic Google searches. That was the first factor that made me decide that we needed to change companies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Click Here Digital handles a large portion of our digital marketing needs. When we onboarded them, they knew what they needed to target and what worked due to their experience with other personal injury firms. I gave them our target demographic and how we wanted to reach them. We also discussed which ads we wanted to be a call for action, direct response, and branding campaigns since our company sometimes does community-focused ads that aren’t hard sells. Additionally, they run both over the top (OTT) and Connected TV (CTV) advertising, which involves our streaming services. Each week, we review the numbers and see how our competition is doing in the market. At the end of the month, we also review creative aspects and tweak budgets based on our needs.
Overall, the team is very transparent, responsive, and timely. When we ask them to do something, they jump on it immediately. We communicate via email and text messages. Project management is excellent. They have a content calendar and different pages for us to see how much we’re spending, our performance, and what our competitors are doing. Also, there’s a timeline with links to what they’ve made, screenshots of the before and after, and relevant data on the information. We haven’t seen that with anyone else, making them stand out.
We have a review at the beginning, middle, and end of the month, so we hear from them about every ten days whether or not we reach out to them. We communicate via phone calls, emails, and video conference calls.

Any vendor should set up content calendars and meetings beforehand and make it part of the schedule. You should never assume anything.
