Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the VP and Co-founder of the Cola Town Bike Collective. We are a community bike shop, located in Columbia, SC, that serves the Midlands by providing low to no cost bicycles and maintenance to the community to enable people to use bicycles as transportation. We also serve as a community hub hosting bike rides, live music, and art.
For what projects/services did your company hire Click Communication Arts?
Our website had become stagnant and outdated. We wanted to revive the design and make the whole website more interactive so it could be used as a point of engagement for our members and prospective members as well as a comprehensive source of information on cycling-related events in the area. We also designed and launched our membership program in tandem with the website design.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have had a longstanding relationship with Click for our company's branding and other design elements. They have always been very helpful, professional, and talented in achieving our organization's goals during every engagement.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We had a series of calls at the inception of the project to discuss the desired overall look and feel of the website. Click quickly turned these conversations into a wireframe and started mocking up some visual components of the website. Because we wanted some interactive features on the website along with a membership management tool, they helped us complete due diligence on several software plug-ins on the backend of the website and we worked to design and implement those accordingly.
Finally, we worked to identify where photography would be needed for the website and what copy needed to be written. This was turned into a living document that our board and Click could share and work together on completing. The photography was completed and everything came together into the final product. Click has been great about following up and supporting any small issues that have come up after our launch in order to maintain the project.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked directly with the art director at Click throughout this project, Evan, who was incredible through every step of the process.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We launched our membership platform first on our old website and have had great success with that program so far. The design of the overall program was heavily influenced by input from Click and it has really paid off. We have just launched the website and I am getting very positive feedback on not just the design, but the interactive features of the website as well. Not only are we gaining a venue for communication, but we are giving our executive director tools to organize donors, members, and other stakeholders in a more efficient way.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The art director at Click worked with us primarily via google documents, phone calls, and e-mail collaboration. He was very punctual on all deadlines and patient with our board when there were some hangups in meeting our deadlines around getting the copywriting and photography finalized. Overall, we were able to meet our launch deadline before a large fundraising opportunity and everything went very smoothly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were blown away by this company's ability to take a very rough idea of what we wanted and really deliver a comprehensive outline and plan for executing it. They demonstrated a high level of understanding of design and UX, which proved invaluable to our board when making decisions around the look and feel of the project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We ended up with a beautiful project and stayed within the budget that we had discussed at the beginning. The board and our stakeholders are very happy with the outcome so we would not have changed anything about the experience.

Graphic Design for Healthcare Marketing Agency
"Their work is always on point."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
HHK Healthcare Marketing is a marketing agency for independent practices in the Charleston market and beyond. I’m the director of media relations. I’m also an account lead.
What challenge were you trying to address with Click Communication Arts?
Click Communication Arts does all of our graphic design work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When it comes to design, Click Communication Arts does everything for us. They’ll design print ads, online visuals, and collateral like folders, rack cards, and posters. Their team has also created event collateral, yard signs, and other designs for our clients.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with Bobby (Partner).
How did you come to work with Click Communication Arts?
I’m not sure when our owner started working with Click Communication Arts. It was before I began working here.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in May 2019, but they’ve been working with my company for many years.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their designs have become part of our messaging for different events and physicians’ plans. If the design is eye-catching and spot on with what we’re trying to deliver, that drives the revenue and the success of the event for our clients. Their work is always on point.
How did Click Communication Arts perform from a project management standpoint?
Bobby performs very well. We have a great system using ProWorkflow, where we can track our projects and communicate comments and changes. It’s an organized process. We can pull past projects from there, and it’s organized by each client.
Bobby is great at helping with changes and bringing concepts to life visually. If an idea isn’t clear or concise, he’s great at walking through all of the details with us. He also gets revisions turned around quickly, meeting deadlines. Sometimes clients can be nit-picky, but Bobby makes sure the work gets done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Click Communication Arts is an extension of our team. Some of the services we don’t use because we have those services in-house. Despite this, they’re worth every penny in my mind.
Their design work is outstanding, and Bobby works as an HHK team member. This is very valuable because sometimes people don’t mesh. Although we can be total pains for him at times, Bobby does an excellent job of interpreting and anticipating changes for our clients.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I really don’t think so. As long as we all stay organized, it’s great. All of the account leads have status calls with Bobby to check on all of the different projects. It allows us to be all in one place and go over what’s needed for everyone. These calls get us on the same page. Having a defined time to talk about things is crucial.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Organization is key. Talking through concepts and working as a team is essential. Click Communication Arts does such a great job that allows relationships to form easily. Their work is great. The projects they complete are incredible. It’s a smart hire for anyone looking.

Design & Creative Direction for Media Relations Agency
“What sets Click apart is that their team members are unique individuals who all have various backgrounds.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an agency partner with Media Frenzy Global. We’re a digital marketing, content creation, and media relations agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with Click Communication Arts?
We hired Click to be an extension of our creative team. They address various projects such as graphic design, visual conception, and creative direction.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Click has done graphic design, logo conception, brand development, and visualization work. They also handle marketing aspects such as e-books, infographics, and video direction.
Their team has done more than internal projects for us. We include them in our onboarding processes with our new clients. When we onboard a new marketing client, we white label Click as our creative agency, and they help from the very beginning, going from concept to execution.
What is the team composition?
We work with everyone on their three-person team, including Bobby (Partner), Evan (Art Director), and Chris (Partner & Managing Director).
How did you come to work with Click Communication Arts?
Bobby and I worked together at a previous agency. He was a huge influence and asset in creating great campaigns for our company. When I started my job here, I immediately thought of him from a creative director standpoint. Our clients were specifically looking for more creative services from us, so it made sense.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested approximately $300,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership began in October 2014.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Some of the creative work Click has done on behalf of our clients have won awards. We recently entered one of their rebranding projects for a creative award and it won under the category of small business. Over the years, we’ve submitted their work for various awards; that’s how we measure some of their success.
How did Click Communication Arts perform from a project management standpoint?
Click is great at project management and meeting deadlines. We use a project management tool called Workflow. Click took the time to onboard our team and present a tutorial that walked us through the platform.
We use the tool to input projects and include as much detail as possible, similar to a briefing. Then we iteratively collaborate and give our approvals. Recently, we implemented a new process document that’s been working really well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What sets Click apart is that their team members are unique individuals who all have various backgrounds. Bobby is trained through a great education received at Clemson. However, he’s also a woodsman and avid traveler. These characteristics really add to his creative process. And then Evan is really in-sync with understanding a variety of industries.
The entire team is very curious. It’s clear that they’re not just creating the work, they’re genuinely curious about our clients’ businesses. Once they wrap their arms around someone’s business, they’re able to think very similarly to them. This allows Click to ideate concepts that are useful and helpful to the client. Their curiosity trait stands out from agencies I’ve worked with in the past. Click brings a lot to the table.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve on standing their ground. When they create something they’re really passionate about, it’s important to sell it and not waver if the client is unsure about the creative direction. Sometimes, the client needs to be pushed a little further.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear on your goals and objectives, and then get out of the way and let Click do what they do best – and that’s being creative.
