I’m the VP and treasurer at East Aurora Music Fest, Inc. We’re a small organization that produces an annual music festival.
What challenge were you trying to address with clevermethod?
We hired clevermethod to create a website and marketing materials.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team at clevermethod designed a logo, built a website, and crafting an online presence for our festival. The website was designed, keeping the music-centric aspect in mind to attract customers to our event. There is also a mobile portion of the site.

We started working with clevermethod when we launched our first festival in January 2013.

We’ve engaged with them to produce seven music festivals. Because of the social media aspects of the website, we’ve seen an increase in attendance each year. Their work has attracted people to come to the festival.

Their communication and project management skills are exceptional. We’re always able to make changes to the site in a timely manner. Our events are on a particular day, so everything must be done by then. We’ve always been able to meet deadlines well in advance of the event.

The look and feel of the website are where they excel. The website has gone through a couple of versions since 2013. The team at clevermethod strives to keep it modern and fresh. We love having their guidance on how to keep the site interesting.

I’m the executive director and co-founder of a not-for-profit that raised money for cancer causes in western New York.
What challenge were you trying to address with clevermethod?
They helped us launch our first events, which was a world record hocket game held in Buffalo, New York. We needed to get that information out to the public and recruit 40 players.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They were able to beautifully brand our website, allowing for applications to read about the effort and apply to play in the event. Our company also needed to seek sponsors, so they created those opportunities through our site. Once they built up the platform, they maintained it. If there was news related to the event that came up, they’d add it to the site. That helped us stay up to date.
Their team also helped us launch our online store. They also took shots of our players and branded merchandise, displaying the final photos nicely on our site.

We’ve worked directly with at least 12 of their employees.

They’re a local organization that reached out to us about their desire to help us launch in 2016.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in May 2016, and our teams continue to collaborate today.

Their willingness to commit to our success has been tremendous. The reach has been phenomenal. We’ve had international attention, but mostly within the United States. In 2019, we had 37,000 hits, which have helped us spread the word. We’ve had articles written about our site in several countries, and people are willing to maintain communication with us through our website.
How did clevermethod perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re in constant communication with them. Their staff is efficient, and they care about our cause. The team is getting our message out there and maintaining our brand.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re constantly thinking of ways to improve our website, which has been incredible. Our messaging and branding is pretty clear. They work well when we need to attach to other platforms. Site efficiency has improved because of that.
