I needed help setting up and managing a marketing program over my LinkedIn/Sales Navigator account. I was looking for lead generation and then a messaging campaign to connect and follow up with potential leads.

During the kickoff meeting my representative and I identified a first campaign to run, including identification of a specific target market and lead generation parameters to be employed. That same day, immediately after the kickoff meeting, my representative established and initiated this first campaign. That same day I started to receive connection acceptances from leads that had been contacted and even received some personal messages from individuals. I started responding to these connections and personal messages that same day. I used the Cleverly templates that my representative put in place, built a template of my own, and responded over Sales Nav/LinkedIn.

I have worked with two account representatives/managers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
This first campaign appears to have been quite successful, as from day one on I continued to receive numerous connections and personal messages. It even lead to a first, direct phone call with a prospective client. Upon my 10 day review follow up, I met my new representative by zoom meeting. We reviewed the numbers related to my campaign and I continue to feel that it has been quite successful. During the zoom meeting, my representative highlighted features on my Cleverly dashboard and throughout my account platform that I have since employed in responding to various connections. My representative helped build another template which I have used numerous times already. I may have also, just today, established another direct connection with a lead. Overall, it was a very productive meeting and first 10 days of my campaign. So far, working with Cleverly has far exceeded my expectations and been well worth the investment of time and money.

Based on my initial feedback to Cleverly, they focused quickly, got my campaign up and running immediately, gave me content that I could use, showed me how to use it...without getting bogged down and taking too much of my time, and GOT RESULTS!!! I am in charge of sales and business development for Electronic Lab Logs. We are a start up SaaS company selling to clinical and FDA labs across the country (soon to be global).
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleverly, and what were your goals?
We hired Cleverly to help drive more sales and outreach initiatives to laboratory administrators/management through linkedin. We needed a cost effective alternative to add to our sales tools and help get more leads in.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We went with Cleverly because at the time, our only and main outreach was through cold calling. This was largely ineffective due to the onset of the pandemic and we wanted a less invasive way of approaching prospects.

We met with the team at Cleverly, defined our target audience, and created an outreach campaign script to begin sending out. We then worked together to create a "lead list" on Sales Navigator compiling anyone who could be a prospect and then went live. I saw immediate traction with a wide variety of labs.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I intially spoke with Oz, who is the director of sales. Then I worked with Jordan who is a campaign strategist and Cam, the SVP of Strategy. Now I work mainly with Will, who is the VP of client success but I also have worked with Erik, VP of client growth.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since we started using Cleverly, I have been able to close 8 accounts which is north of 200k in contract value. That number is soon to double (or more) as we are scheduled to close more leads generated through the use of Cleverly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It has been great since we initiated the relationship, even now as we are going past 1 year of use. As soon as I reach out for help, Will responds quickly and sets up a meeting. They have been a great team to work with and always gets what I need accomplished.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Well, to start, I don't believe there are other companies that take this approach (that is, taking over your LinkedIn and organizing outreach and connection requests). They are extremely organized and give you metrics to report on to ensure we are getting the response we are looking for.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The only issue I've had was that one time my account got disconnected, and I did not realize until a week later due to dramatically decreased activity/response rates. I reached out to Will and he immediately took care of it. While it is worth noting that this could have been avoided if I used my Dashboard more (my fault), it would have been nice to be notified to bring it to my attention. Extremely minor....

I’m the CEO, founder, and main legal recruiter of Shannon Recruiting Services. Currently, I primarily recruit litigation attorneys throughout the US.
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleverly?
As a one-person company, I was on LinkedIn all day long, sending out messages to different candidates. Thus, I wanted to duplicate my efforts to reach more people.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Cleverly helps me reach out to different candidates, sending them emails and messages to duplicate my efforts. To help me with this effort, they integrated themselves into my LinkedIn profile so that they could send out messages as if they were me.
What is the team composition?
So far, I’ve only communicated with one person from Cleverly, who I think is the account representative.
How did you come to work with Cleverly?
My husband had heard about Cleverly and mentioned them to me, so I looked them up and gave them a shot.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Cleverly around August 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. We have a monthly agreement, so I can cancel at any point, but I keep working with them because their work is very good.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
So far, our engagement has been very good, and Cleverly has found the right candidates for me, which was my biggest concern. When I thought about working with an external company, I was worried that they wouldn’t understand what type of candidate I was looking for. However, Cleverly has a good search process going on, and they’ve provided results; that’s why I keep working with them. Additionally, I’ve also received a return of my investment because I've placed 2–3 of the candidates they found.
How did Cleverly perform from a project management standpoint?
I enjoy working with Cleverly because they’re very communicative, timely, and easy to reach out to. Regarding budget, I basically decide the cost because they have different service levels, so I haven’t found any issues there either.
Cleverly uses a very user-friendly dashboard to ease our collaboration, where I can see who has responded to the messages and where I can answer messages as well. Additionally, I have frequent meetings with my account representative to go over the project. We communicate via email and phone calls, and if there is any issue, I can call them, and they will fix it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Cleverly’s communication is their strong point. They’re very communicative, and the tools they use are very user-friendly, which I appreciate.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if the account manager did more check-ins with us. Currently, the check-ins are somewhat random, and sometimes, I’ve needed to wait a few days for our next call to ask a question. However, this is not an issue, and I wouldn’t change anything about how they work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re looking for a user-friendly and helpful collaboration, I definitely recommend working with Cleverly. They’ve helped me duplicate my efforts and grow my business.

I’m the co-founder and VP of Squigl, a media and software organization that primarily serves Fortune 500 enterprises. We have a very successful brand with higher-level executives in the marketing and the training and development industries, so corporate communications is a throughline for us. We employ around 25 full-time employees, and we’ve been in business for 11 years, currently reaching over 1,000 customers worldwide.
We were having an issue using LinkedIn effectively. For a salesperson, LinkedIn has an annual cost of $500. We had a five-person sales team, so we were paying $2,500 a year without seeing any ROI.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Cleverly has been helping us hyper-target and find the right people within LinkedIn to increase our sales using their intelligence and data science. On top of that, they continuously advise us on the content that we should be sending to those people.
After meeting with Cleverly and telling them about our challenge, they did a significant market analysis to find the ideal customers within LinkedIn that we could be targeting. Using data science, they created a database of audiences similar to our ideal buyer based on the people we already did business with, which was very helpful.
The response we got from new potential customers within the first months was so impressive that we continued our relationship with Cleverly. Since then, we’ve added different nodes to our account. Additionally, every time we hire a new salesperson, we onboard them to Cleverly first and refer them to our trusted partners and clients.

We work directly with Cam (Senior VP of Strategy), and although he brings account managers to our calls, he has remained our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Cleverly?
One of our senior directors came to me and told me about Cleverly, saying that they could help us with an automated LinkedIn solution to target the right audience without doing it ourselves, and therefore, increase our reach.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The key result of this project is the ROI we’ve seen thanks to the new connections we’ve made. The data created by Cleverly was so valuable that, within one month, our sales team was amazed by the response we got from new potential customers. People suddenly were writing back, asking for a sales call to learn more about our product.
In addition to that, within six months, we onboarded Google and multiple new businesses as customers and expanded our relationship with Microsoft. The response we’ve got is so impressive that, for example, one of our sales representatives sent a message to a high-level executive of an important company, and he wrote back from his personal mobile phone asking for a call.
Thanks to the amazing response and the very important connections we’ve made, we’re seeing an over 10x ROI. Regarding general statistics, we’ve achieved the following numbers so far:
- 30% connection rate.
- 2,000 new connections.
- 1,400 added connections.
- 6,000 invitations were sent.
- 500 people have written back.
- I’ve sent 5,000 messages
- 71% of people have replied to sequencing efforts.
- 25% of people have accepted a new connection.
Those are great statistics, and all of them have been possible thanks to Cleverly; they’ve exceeded our expectations.
How did Cleverly perform from a project management standpoint?
Cleverly offers unbelievable customer service. One month, I had to pause my collaboration with them because I was busy doing other things. However, the pause was only mine, and they kept working with my sales team. Surprisingly, they paused the billing for that month without asking. They knew that my sales team wouldn’t be focused as I was busy, so they kept working free of charge that month until I was involved again.
Cleverly’s team is also very responsive. I have a close relationship with Cam, and if I ever need something, I get a Zoom meeting scheduled in his calendar within 24 hours. He also adds a support person to our calls for follow-up.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I don’t know what Cleverly is doing exactly, but I know they’re doing something different in the data science space that others don’t. They know how to target buyer personas in a better way than other companies.
In our industry, we call intent data to customers’ behavioral data that is collected and used to predict their intentions to buy consumer products. For example, with intent data, companies try to accurately predict when a customer will need or want to buy their products. Cleverly has intent data figured out at an enterprise level for executive buyers. I have no idea how they do it, but I’ve never seen something like it, and I’ve been in the industry for over a decade. I can only attribute this talent to their subject matter expertise.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if Cleverly created some kind of internal matchmaking network with clients of theirs. If they’re helping us grow, I bet they’re helping their other customers too, and I think we could make great connections with them. However, I’ve never met another of their clients.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Run your own content and don’t let it on Cleverly’s hands; it has to be a partnership. They will give you advice on it, and you have to follow it, so be open to feedback as well. You’ll be paying for an industry expert, so let them help you change your strategy to get better results.

We worked with matthew in the beginning and then with Mike for the duration of the project. We had weekly calls with Mike as well as impromptu calls whenever the need arose.

We got a nice amount of contacts, most of which did not pan out, there was one major lead that we are still connected to and negotiating with. We were a bit lacking on the backend - possibly would have been better to beef up our own sales and SM team to more effectively chase leads once contact was made.

Clevely was always available to us, scheduling meetings was easy and immediate, both our contacts - especially mile which was our main contact - were alwys patient, informative and forthcoming.
