Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the VP of marketing for Lex Brodie's. We operate five tire and auto repair facilities on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
What challenge were you trying to address with Clever Wolf Digital?
We recently made a decision to convert much of our marketing budget away from traditional outlets and gear them more toward digital opportunities. As such, we hired Clever Wolf Digital to help coordinate our digital marketing and help assist with our on-site SEO efforts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The bulk of their involvement centers on managing the Google My Business pages for our five locations. They make sure that our content is updated and optimized correctly so that we stand out. They are mindful of how different keywords trend and how we can be successful. They also create the weekly posts on our sites.
Additionally, we’ve run some pretty aggressive Facebook ad campaigns that target certain audiences. For instance, we’ve focused on people that are similar to our existing customers or people that have purchased a new car in the last 3–5 years. We rely on Clever Wolf Digital to set up our campaigns, define the target markets, and track the results. On occasion, they have conducted photo shoots at our locations, as well.

I work with a team of three people.
How did you come to work with Clever Wolf Digital?
A member of their leadership team visited one of our locations to have his car serviced and was impressed with our work. He said to contact him if we ever had a need for these kinds of marketing campaigns. I looked up some reviews of their work and found only positive experiences.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began in January 2018 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We now average close to 3,000–4,000 webpage views across our five locations per week. Sometimes with different creative and a certain demand, we’ve seen that number swell to 8,000 combined views. The number of clicks we get stemming from their campaigns is much higher than what we see from work done by other vendors. They've helped improve our search engine rankings to the point that if a search comes within 6 miles of one of our locations, we appear organically in the top three results.
How did Clever Wolf Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very organized, and their response time and attentiveness are much appreciated. They’re accommodating to our needs and our schedule. To communicate, generally we will text or email, but we also have occasional phone calls and in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a notable level of expertise and transparency. They’re very easy to work with. By keeping up to date on the latest marketing trends, they are better able to inform our decisions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. We’re very happy with how they have helped us.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a sales and marketing brokerage that represents food and retail manufacturers. I’m a marketing manager.
What challenge were you trying to address with Clever Wolf Digital?
We host a large event each year to showcase our manufacturers and bring together our customers to sample products. We have a kickoff event to promote the show and wanted a team to coordinate that smaller event.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first two years we worked together, we started small. We had seminars in 2016 and 2017, with two speakers. In 2018 they coordinated the entire event, including the concept. We wanted to have a celebrity chef cookoff, so they found a list of candidates that would be great for our needs. They handled everything and reached out to us for approval. They also helped us build several promo videos and helped us on social media to promote the event. We relied on them heavily.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with an account manager as our main point of contact. Their owner also oversees each project and makes sure we’re where we need to be. They brought five additional people to help with the event itself.
How did you come to work with Clever Wolf Digital?
We found them through a colleague. We met them at a marketing conference they hosted and we liked what they presented. We spoke with them, liked their ideas, and decided to try them that year. We were happy with the results and decided to continue.
How much have you invested with them?
The first two events cost about $5,000 each. The most recent event was on a much bigger scale.

We started working together around March 2016. We hire them yearly and just completed our most recent project in August 2018.

They have great ideas and are super-ambitious. Whenever we introduce a problem, they have a bunch of ideas and get everyone excited to work. They’re detail-oriented and organized and they make the whole process seamless. We had a lot to worry about for the main event, so it was a relief to see the kickoff events go through without any hiccups.
They know all the current trends and what is pertinent to business today. They know a lot about social media and they educate us on marketing. They have a lot to offer.
How did Clever Wolf Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate back and forth through documents and have meetings during the planning process. They’re great communicators and are very responsive. They occasionally get busy and their response times slow down, but overall, we’re happy and they respond in a reasonable amount of time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The venue had an issue with power to the cooking stations for the celebrity chefs. We panicked, but they stepped in and resolved everything within 15 minutes. They were very quick to take charge and find a solution.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Two or three years ago, they occasionally forgot to follow up with us but would respond immediately if I reached out to them. They brought in our account manager and we had no issues with our most recent event.
Clever Wolf Digital’s involvement fostered a marked increase in weekly page views, a result of organized campaigns and improved search engine results. The team is communicative and adapts well to schedule requests. By following trends and tracking results, they make informed and useful suggestions.
