• We have an IOS application that works with card readers (devices that read proximity cards). The app connects to the reader and transfers some data to the device. We have an issue with the connection speed to the device and the speed of data transfer. The main goal was to resolve development issues related to BLE communication between the mobile App and hardware. The crucial issue that needs to be resolved is to reduce the connection time for the door opening which was successfully solved by the CitrusDev team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Reduced the connection time for the BLE connection which is crucial for our product, services, and clients(before improvements - more than 3000 ms, after up to 1000 ms). Improved app functionality and performance. Sources with the highest level and based on the best practices.

While working with CITRUSDEV, I was generally pleased with the quality of their work and their responsiveness to my needs. Maybe they need to take a look deeper into their marketing activities because it is difficult to find additional information about the company outside Upwork.

During my experience working with this company, I was particularly impressed by their sense of responsibility towards their work. They always made sure that they fully understood the project requirements and that all aspects of the project were completed to the highest possible standards. Furthermore, I was impressed with their ability to tackle any obstacles that arose during the project.

While working with CITRUSDEV, I was generally pleased with the quality of their work and their responsiveness to my needs. One aspect that caught my attention was that their communication could have been more precise at times. There was an instance where I was uncertain and did not fully comprehend the requirements for Android and Apple to pass a successful review, resulting in a misinterpretation. 

However, we were able to resolve the issue through further discussion. Overall, I was satisfied with the work CITRUSDEV did. That's why we decided to continue working with them on another project for which we've already completed a successful discovery phase.

I am the founder and owner of lotoshka.kiev.ua. This project aimed to digitize the sales agent of the Ukrainian National Lottery.

We ordered full-stack web development from an idea to delivery. As a result, a website for the sale of Ukrainian National Lottery tickets (KENO game in general) was developed from scratch.

One of my partners from the CEO business club strongly recommended the CitrusDev team as a reliable partner for the development of web projects of any complexity. So we had a few meetings to check if we suit each other and signed a contract.

All the work consists of UX research; prototyping and wireframing, UI design, development & testing, and delivery. The development stage was split into milestones: integrating APIs for generating tickets and checking the results, a special module - a pool of generated tickets of various types, ticket packages, router module, integration with the payment provider, full analytics and reports in the admin panel. The project was developed from scratch using the Laravel framework for the backend and VueJs for the frontend.

The team consisted of a business analyst, project manager, UX / UI designer, SEO and marketing managers, front-end and back-end developers, manual quality assurance engineer and DevOps.

They were very open, communicative, and efficient. Their Project manager was very communicative and always suggested new ideas and features, f.e. she suggested implementing the mechanism where you can buy a lottery ticket and send it as a gift.

They’re very responsive to anything. One thing that I want to wish for the team is to increase their capability and resources to handle high-load projects.

We obtain an automation system that resolves 99% of our hand-mode operations related to emails, deals, and reports. The system works in the background with a predefined schedule.

Their project management was on a very high level, with strong communication and timelines. We used Jira for project and task management. Confluence for project development documentation. Reports and timesheets were reported by PM on a weekly basis.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After acceleration, the site is gaining 92% + for desktop, and 60% + for mobile. The site started loading up to 2 seconds and we stopped losing visitors who did not wait for the page to load

The guys suggested using modern chips for communication such as Slack and Jira, but it is more convenient for me to use the mail and they sent me to a meeting
