I’m the marketing manager for a manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cinepro Studios?

Our global marketing materials didn’t speak to a US audience. We wanted to produce content in support of our products for our market here, but we have limited resources in-house. We needed a partner to manage video production with our marketing department.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cinepro Studios managed pre- and post-production of a series of marketing videos. In collaboration with our team, they filmed and edited content for a number of different topics and products.

One of the larger projects their team did for us involved our new, state-of-the-art facility. They documented its construction over a twelve-month period and the grand-opening party. The video showed the process of the build, featuring a recap, timelapses, and aerial drone footage. When we did finally open the facility, Cinepro Studios managed the video’s massive release campaign.

Most recently, Cinepro Studios produced a series of technical videos. The content included demonstrations of some of our tools and the restoration of the 1955 Chevy Bel Air show car.

What is the team composition?

Primarily, we interacted with Dusty (Owner, Cinepro Studios), but he’ll occasionally have assistants.

How did you come to work with Cinepro Studios?

I’d initially found them through a Google search for local video production firms while I was working for a different company. We had their team come in and do some small projects for us. Impressed with the results, we expanded their scope of work. I’ve contracted Cinepro Studios several times over the past decade as I’ve worked for different companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent more than $10,000 in total for the projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've worked together several times over the past few years. Our last project ran from February–March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Cinepro Studios delivered exactly what we were looking for—all feedback has been extremely positive. The editing was extremely creative, executing an aesthetic that went beyond what we’d envisioned. Compared to other agencies I’ve worked with, their quality is a lot higher, which is why I’ve continued to work with them over the years.

How did Cinepro Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve always started with an in-person meeting so we could see the space for filming, discuss goals, and establish a timeline. For the rest of the project, we communicated via email. Their team always included one day of in-person editing when we would review footage together for technical and brand accuracy. Throughout the rest of the editing process, they provided draft copies for feedback. They were good at hitting deadlines.

It was more of a collaboration than a simple contract. They took time to actually understand what we were looking for, making creative suggestions to improve the project’s outcome. It was an extremely positive experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were easy to work with—the overall process with Cinepro Studios was smooth. We didn’t have to spend a lot of time getting them to understand our vision. Their team was good at setting expectations for a video’s aesthetic and timeline. Delivering and improving projects with creative suggestions, they provided a lot of value.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. I’ve always had a positive experience over all the years we’ve worked together.

Have an idea of what you want in terms of content and aesthetic. Provide a direction for the project.

RT Welter & Associates is a healthcare consulting company with many lines of business. The main line of business in this project was Managed Care Contracting. The purpose of this project was to work with the state of Colorado to develop a curriculum to help doctors better understand contracting and their relationships with their commercial insurance carriers.

RT Welter contracted with CinePro Studios to create a series of webinars/videos as part of the curriculum. We used these videos, along with workbooks, to help work through 6 Chapters of a curriculum.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of this project was to create a curriculum that would help individuals understand a fairly complex topic.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Another client recommended that we use CinePro for our needs. Our client had used CinePro in the past for multiple projects and their expertise fit out needs.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

CinePro Studios filmed and produced videos for 6 Chapters of our curriculum. Each Chapter has between 4-5 videos to go along with the workbook Chapters. We would film the content for each Chapter and CinePro Studios worked on all of the post production to round out the material, which included an animated Character to support the content.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The RT Welter Team worked very closely with CinePro Studios throughout the entire process so we were always involved in the decision making. In this close relationship, we were able to provide feedback back and forth and update information whenever necessary.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This project was designed to be shared across the state of Colorado for doctors' offices of any size. We, at RT Welter, have received great reviews on the material!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As stated above, the RT Welter team worked very closely with CinePro Studios which made for a great working relationship. The CinePro team was very responsive to any changes in the project and always worked hard to meet any deadlines that were set for our project; this included work after hours to ensure our deadlines were met. The communication was a strong point that helped this project run smoothly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

CinePro Studios has many different capabilities that fit all of our various needs. Their team filmed all of our content, produced the final versions, and even included animation in our videos. When we started our project, we weren't really sure what direction we were headed, but the CinePro team helped us dial in our target and then produce the best possible product. CinePro Studios has a lot to offer when it comes to producing video content and they have a wide range of capabilities.

Are there any areas for improvement?

One small area for improvement would be equipment management for the team. With so many different cameras and microphones involved in recording, there were some instances when equipment would be forgotten. Completely understandable in the requirements for this project and it never hindered our production of the content.

We are a well known and established nonprofit within the Colorado military community; however, we are expanding our reach and brand on a national scale and need a face lift and much larger marketing campaign for our internal team members as well as our larger target market.

Our team researched the Colorado market and the name of Cinepro Studios, Inc. continued to surface. We reached out to our local resources and after several highly impressive endorsements, we decided to give them a call. It was by far the best decision we have made since the inception of our charity in 2005.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We were impressed from the moment we met with the Cinepro Team. They listened intensely as we discussed our 15 year history and where we wanted to go in the future. They questioned our needs and wants and researched our history before they presented us with their thoughts about a branding/marketing campaign that was well beyond our expectations. They asked us to search deep for the image and needs that we wanted to present and they took the time to listen. They understood our vision, wants and passion as though they had been on our team for 15 years!

What was the team composition?

We worked with their top brander/videographer and he brought in their top graphics design artist, both of whom had a very impressive history. We were extremely impressed with jobs they had performed for others and were exciting to see what they could do for our charity.

Since our first encounter with Cinepro Studios, we have been overwhelmed - not only with the branding ideas, new logo, video and marketing strategies, but with their overall commitment to accommodating our needs, wants and wishes 100%. They literally were able to:

They were a 100% team player. They lived, ate and breathed our program/project and we felt as though we were their only customer and we know, by far, that was not true...They always made us a priority and never blinked when we changed our minds on any given matter. They smiled as they redid a logo layout for us, or edited a video to suit our needs and changes and not once, not once did they ever complain or show any resistance or concern to our endless requests. Who could ask for more?

We reach out to people who need substance use disorder treatment services. Cinepro Studios works with us on a variety of projects to influence those populations. Our goal is to motivate individuals to seek treatment.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cinepro Studios assisted our efforts by offering their video production services. We had an initial meeting with Dusty (Owner, Cinepro Studios) where we talked about the project’s goals and concept. He communicated his interpretation and started the creative process. Then, he sent us a suggested script with design ideas for visual elements. Our teams sent those deliverables back and forth until we had a polished product.

For each shoot, Dusty takes care of the scheduling and production dates. After filming, Cinepro Studios works with me to edit the footage into a rough cut. They submit additional iterations for me to review, and that process continues until we agree on a final version.

I want to highlight the work they’ve done with us to help out one of our not-for-profit providers. The primary deliverable for that project was a two-minute testimonial video. They hired two actors to tell a story about the impact felt by the families of drug abuse victims. Their creative approach to that project captivated audiences.

A similar project with that same organization required Cinepro Studios to interview three women for their real-life testimonials. They spoke about their experience and tried to motivate others to seek help. We also worked with Cinepro Studios to develop online video advertisements and short documentary-style films.

We wanted to show off our product and the installation process to our potential customers. We were looking for a vendor to help us produce videos.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cinepro Studios produced three types of videos for us. There are many videos under each type and they range from 30 seconds to three minutes in length. The target audience is very wide and ranges from people who install wine racks themselves to contractors who work on installation. 

Our sizzle reels are essentially moving photos that show our wine racks from different angles. We also do about half a dozen project videos a year, where they go to a restaurant or a home and film wine cellars from all angles. These videos have been very valuable in creating meaningful content and showing people how simple wine racks can turn into a cool wine cellar.

Dusty and I have worked together in various iterations of each other's businesses for almost a decade, so I knew they'd do a great job.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our business has been growing and the videos have been very helpful in our e-commerce environment. When our customers click on the listings, they can see photos and a 30-second video of the actual product, which gives them a better idea of what the product looks like. The videos have been also valuable in showcasing our brand.

They know what we expect to see in videos, so we understand each other's needs very well. We've worked together for so long that the project management has evolved to fit the unique way we do business with them.

The way we're presented to the client is very important to us because we often have repeat customers. I've been able to send Cinepro Studios to various sites where they represented us without any supervision. I've heard nothing but amazing things about them.
