I’m the director of marketing at a software company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Chomp Creative Studio?
We needed someone to create videos for some of our events.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Chomp Creative Studio produced videos for us. To kick the project off, we gave them a creative brief. The team took over from there. They handled the entire production and post-production process.
We specifically asked Chomp Creative Studio to deliver five standalone videos that had a similar theme. Depending on the event, we then played each film on its own or all the videos together.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with Al (CEO & Co-Founder) and another teammate.
How did you come to work with Chomp Creative Studio?
I found them through an online search and interviewed several videographers. Chomp Creative Studio stood out due to their strong production capabilities. I also liked their portfolio and knew right away that they’d be an excellent fit.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost less than $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July–September 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t used the videos yet, so we don’t have any metrics. However, they did a fantastic job and delivered at a swift turnaround time.
Chomp Creative Studio was very creative and easy to work with. They worked efficiently and thoroughly — whenever we had feedback, they immediately implemented the changes we needed.
How did Chomp Creative Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was excellent, and the process went smoothly. We communicated through Basecamp.

I am the VP of Marketing and Education for our supplement company. Our company produces natural supplements for migraine relief, hydration, and overall health and wellness.
For what projects/services did your company hire Chomp Creative Studio, and what were your goals?
We hired Chomp Creative to produce a video for us. The goal was to educate viewers about the science behind our products. Previously, we struggled to make the science accessible and approachable. We wanted video content that would engage viewers and help them understand the concepts and design behind our products.
The video was created to live on our website and to be included in advertising efforts.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had a shortlist of vendors and met with several. After speaking with Al at Chomp Creative, we were impressed by his wisdom and knowledge of video, his approach to organizing and setting up projects, and reasonable pricing. Frankly, Chomp Creative blew the competition out of the water.

We had a discovery meeting and discussed our goals. Then, we were added to Basecamp as the project management software. For the onboarding phase, we took care of the initial deposit, reviewed the introductions and guidelines for the project, and uploaded all of our assets and branding information. I liked that they requested just one point of contact that represented my team's final decisions.
Second was the voiceover phase. We were provided some samples to listen to and selected our top choice for the voice actor. We provided our notes and met with the actor beforehand to get on the same page. Chomp was very flexible with us because we had a lot of script changes that we documented using Frame.io. Both the voice actor and Al accommodated our requests graciously and patiently. We ended up getting a second recording due to the changes and we loved the final product.
The third phase was the visual design phase, where we reviewed the storyboard and illustrations using Boords. The illustrations we reviewed included 3 key scenes from the storyboard that were fully illustrated. They gave us a strong sense of the visual style and what the scene would look like. I really appreciated this because it meant there would be no surprises for one of the most important and work-intensive pieces of the process.
Fourth was the animation phase, which was my team's favorite part. We provided feedback via Frames.io again. We went through three rounds of revisions. Chomp's turnaround time was very quick! We then solidified our music choice and got our video file. Lastly, we had a wrap up call with Al where we had a chance to receive and provide feedback on the whole process.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked with Al and Daria. I was blown away by the promptness, follow-through, and professionalism of both Al and Daria. We never had a moment where we wondered when we'd hear from them. Our team's timeline was quite delayed and often we didn't have updates for a week or more, but Al followed up to keep us on track and make sure that no additional time was wasted. Throughout the project, I was grateful for their kindness, patience, and understanding.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Before our video was even finalized, a potential customer wanted to learn more about how our products worked for migraine relief. We requested a downloadable version of the video for the purpose and were able to share it with the customer. She gave us glowing feedback and made a purchase right after!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
This is one of Chomp's greatest strengths. Every phase and interaction was smooth and intentional. The process was very well-thought out and I learned a lot of great project management tips from this experience. Communication was always prompt and clear. We used easy, accessible tools for project management and communication, such as Basecamp, Boords, and Frames.io. When we had something more complex to work through,
Al suggested we hop on a group call to sort it out. He sat with us for a whole hour going deep into scientific theory and processes to help us come up with the best possible solution for our goal. Our team had an excellent experience communicating with Chomp Creative.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
It's hard to pick one thing that is the most impressive. The end result far surpassed my expectations, and the technical skill shown in the video was impressive. I'd say that Chomp Creative excels most at communication, project management, and planning. Al at Chomp Creative is a joy to work with. I always looked forward to working with him and seeing what was next in the project phase, because he made the process was fun and exciting!

I can't think of anything they should do differently.

I'm the art director and publications editor for the Oregon Education Association, the union representing 41,000 public school employees in Oregon. I oversee all graphic projects and manage our brand identity.
For what projects/services did your company hire Chomp Creative Studio, and what were your goals?
We hired Chomp Creative to bring our 2020-21 membership recruitment materials to life through a series of short 30-second videos (6 in total) produced over the 2020-21 school year. Our goal was targeted recruitment via social media, using these videos, to specific member groups of our union.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were originally put in touch with Chomp Creative through a political/comms strategy org (Winning Mark in Portland, Ore.) After our first round of videos were complete, I was so impressed with Chomp's final video products that we continued to use them for subsequent projects over the year (and plan to continue as our needs arise!)

We began with a kickoff meeting, and then our project migrated over the Basecamp, where our project manager kept us on track in completing each milestone. We supplied a script and some visuals/illustrations to work with. Chomp produced a rough storyboard; after approval, that went into completed illustrations for review. We selected a voice talent, and then they created a animated version with the approved illustrations and voiceover. After approval, they supplied us with an easy-to-download final version of the video.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked with Al Reyes for the project kickoff, and Daria Bas for ongoing approval/communication through each step of the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our videos have had steady engagement on social media, and many of our local associations have begun using them in their new employee orientations as a way of recruiting new union members.

They were extremely organized through each step of the project - communicating well and giving me the nudge I needed when I hadn't approved a component of the project on schedule. After each approval, they were quick to move on to the next part of the project to keep us on schedule.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The quality of the work for the price; the responsiveness and ability to understand our mission as a unique membership-driven organization, which is quite different from consumer-facing brands. They are exceptionally organized, which is an added bonus!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing yet - I'd like to continue working with them and begin moving in some new directions for animation (all of our videos to this point have had a very similar illustration style, based on initial illustrations I provided). I'm looking forward to seeing other creative approaches they'd like to try in our future projects together.

We hired Chomp Creative to produce a brand new explainer video for iWorkGlobal. Our challenge was to quickly convey our services to potentially top-of-funnel audiences who did not have prior knowledge about our industry.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals were to refresh our brand with a new video and use this video for both lead generation and increased brand awareness. We intended to showcase this video on several communication platforms including social media, website and email. We anticipated this video to lead to an increase in services interest for our business.
How did you select this vendor?
We considered a couple video production companies who had proactively reached out to me before we had solidified our annual marketing plans. Cost was a big factor and portfolio alignment was important. We needed to see evidence of prior work that aligned with the look and feel we were seeking for our new video. I and the CEO were the primary decision makers in the selection process

The vendor's scope included scripting, storyboarding and animation. I wrote a detailed creative brief of what we were looking for, including sample videos that captured the look and feel. The vendor provided an initial script which I edited through a couple rounds. The vendor provided voiceover auditions, of which I chose one and then moved to storyboard which took the majority of time. We moved through several rounds of storyboarding and then animation moved quickly after that.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
Two people were involved from Chomp which made it easy to keep track of requests, comments and feedback - the project manager and owner. The Chomp team used BaseCamp which was a useful project management tool to keep track of requests, feedback and timelines. The team worked with me on several rounds of feedback and were gracious, while remaining curious and responsive to ideas.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The feedback that we've received from employees has been spectacular. As employees who are not marketing-oriented, they understood the clear difference between our old explainer video and this new Chomp-created video without prompts. We have received positive feedback from external stakeholders as well.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
BaseCamp, as mentioned before, was a great and modern tool to use for project management purposes. This was a very effective workflow between Chomp and our team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their responsiveness, patience and adherence to the creative brief were the things that impressed me most. I never had to follow up on a pending question. It was always answered within minutes or hours-which as anyone who has dealt with agencies knows is hard-to-find. Knowing when to push back on a client in a respectful, yet firm way is something rare in a creative agency and Chomp knows how to do this in spades. Finally and most importantly, reading my creative brief and clearly understanding and portraying what we want is key and the final product shows this.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Nothing really sticks out to me as something that could have been done significantly differently.

I’m the senior director of marketing of Avadyne Health. We provide self-pay and bad debt recovery services for hospitals nationwide.
What challenge were you trying to address with Chomp Creative Studio?
We had created an AR app that we were marketing to hospital business offices, and we needed a way to explain it to the marketplace.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Chomp Creative Studio created a two-minute explainer video that explained our AR app. We were adding to our existing process, specifically adding a QR code to the statement that needed to be scanned. We needed to explain to hospitals how that would work.
We had an example of something we used prior to Chomp Creative Studio coming on board. I explained to Chomp Creative Studio what features we wanted to showcase and what our desired outcomes were. I provided a bunch of materials about the process and each step.
Chomp Creative Studio wrote the script, which we then refined. After that, we created a shot list. We needed it in three weeks for a specific conference. Chomp Creative Studio got it written, shot, and produced in time.
What is the team composition?
Al (CEO and Co-Founder) was my main contact. He was available at the shooting, did creative direction, and provided the talent. There was also a small film crew of two, a partner involved in the process that did some scriptwriting, and a project manager.

What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from August–September 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
An AR app is not commonly used in health care space and business office, so our platform was going to have a good impact to begin with. Chomp Creative Studio made it visualize extremely well. We got good feedback from the C-suite team that viewed the video before it was published. In the market, it really helped share the message and explain the product really well in a short amount of time.
How did Chomp Creative Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
They made it extremely smooth, which is why it got done so quickly. They were on top of everything, and everything they said they were going to do, they did. we worked well together.
One of the things I liked the best was that they used some technology to do the review process. That way, we could provide some feedback and make edits right away.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were very professional, very organized, and very experienced. Chomp Creative Studio definitely had done this before and knew what they were doing. They created a good product with very little direction and without any problems along the way.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not that I can think of, I’m really happy with what they’ve done. They’re a good team to work with.

We started with a discovery meeting. The team took time to understand what was important to animate from our perspective and provided a lot of guidance on how to better define the project. Once the storyboard was created, we had é or 3 additional meetings to check progress and get alignment.
The final animation was about 1.5 min long and perfectly served the purpose we had in mind. We share it on our social media channels, integrate it into our commercial documents and show it on our website.

We started with a 1 hour call, where we explained Chomp Creative Studio exactly what we needed, including some shot ideas that we had in mind. Second step was to record those shots. Step that was quickly done by Chomp Creative Studio by scheduling a shooting day within 24 hours. Shooting day took place and lasted not more than 4 hours. Last step, post production. They followed every single comments or feedback that we had, regarding the logo, colors, fonts, etc. Their work is great, and fast.

We worked along with Al Reyes, who made it even easier knowing that we had to finish this video in only a week and a half. They work with a platform called frame.io, which allowed us to watch the video and add comments regarding any elements or footage on specific frames.

We first used this video on a show, which helped driving leads to our booth. Now we will start using it for presentations, expecting great feedback from leads or customers.
