Their work generated a good amount of leads for us, and we can see that the cost per lead went down, especially for our events that we boosted with paid search campaigns to address people interested in networking fairs we attended. We also enhanced the performance of social channels we didn’t use before, like LinkedIn and YouTube.

We used Google Drive to collaborate in planning campaigns, sharing notes, and distributing documents. Regarding communication, we had weekly meetings.

We struggled to get quality leads because we have a very niche product and market, and the ones we got were either B2C or not interested.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Cheetah Conversions helps us with performance marketing. They give us recommendations, and we collaborate on strategies for our top, mid, and bottom funnels. Usually, we brainstorm together, and then they give us their ideas. Since our product is in such a niche and we have a very specific wording, we take care of the creative part. We give them the materials to review, and they provide advice for changes.
From there, they implement our strategies and spread them through our different channels; they run the campaigns while targeting our audience. We’ve had PPC and conversion campaigns using landing pages. When working with landing pages, they use our keywords. The Cheetah Conversions team has run campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. They’ve also run display ads for a YouTube campaign. Currently, they’re running Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads campaigns.

Although the team has varied, we always work with 2–3 people from Cheetah Conversions. We’ve worked with the CMO, a marketing manager, and a PR specialist.

I found them through a referral. One of my colleagues knew Cheetah Conversions from university courses. They made a proposal based on Google Ads campaigns to generate some leads, and we decided to try them out. We weren’t happy with our Facebook Ads partner, so we decided to give that to Cheetah Conversions.

With our previous partner, although we were getting 200 leads per month, 80% of them were trash. Cheetah Conversions gets us 80–90 very high-quality leads per month with the same budget. They’ve done a great job finding the right settings and getting the right leads in.
How did Cheetah Conversions perform from a project management standpoint?
They need around a week to implement something, and they always meet that timeline. Whenever we have something urgent, they try to address it on point. That’s the advantage of Cheetah Conversions being a small agency; we know them so well that we can just call them, and they react quickly to do what they can. Although we first used Monday.com for project management, we’ve stopped using it. Now, our primary form of contact is via email.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CMO of a fintech SaaS business based in London with a global presence, selling to banks and big corporate lenders.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cheetah Conversions?
We needed someone to provide us with comprehensive marketing services as part of our strategy to break into the German-speaking market.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Cheetah Conversions has helped us with PPC, social media marketing, content marketing, SEO, and conversion optimization. Initially, they conducted a research process to identify the German, Austrian, and Swiss target banks and the personas within, for which we also did persona development. From there, we created an account-based marketing (ABM) strategy.
As a result of that strategy, we created very defined buyer personas. We also segmented our targeted banks and corporate lenders very specifically so that we could create very relevant ads and content for social media, specifically on LinkedIn.
As for SEO, we worked with Cheetah Conversions very closely on keyword research. They took a lot of time doing keyword research across the markets and different sectors we were focusing on. Additionally, we created the content in English, and they translated it to German when necessary, tweaking it to make it relevant.
Currently, Cheetah Conversions only helps us run specific campaigns, but our focus on the German-speaking markets is on pause.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 3–4 people from Cheetah Conversions, including a team leader and two social media specialists. We’ve also worked with a separate SEO team, and I believe that more people are working in the background.
How did you come to work with Cheetah Conversions?
I was interviewing a potential candidate in Switzerland for our internal marketing team who had worked for Cheetah Conversions, and he recommended them. We ultimately chose them due to their knowledge of the German-speaking market, language skills, and performance marketing expertise.
How much have you invested with them?
The average monthly fee has been around £1,500–£2,500 (approximately $1,900–$3,100 USD). In total, we’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around July 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Keyword research for the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets was a very complex task, but it was very successful. We’ve generated a lot of leads through social media marketing, and we’ve also seen an increase in our LinkedIn engagement, followers, and click-through rates. Additionally, we’ve seen great success on our Google Ads campaigns, but LinkedIn has been definitely the top-performing channel.
How did Cheetah Conversions perform from a project management standpoint?
Cheetah Conversions has performed very well. Their project management is very solid, organized, structured, and consistent. They also offer very clear reporting and great value for the money. Their team is always engaged and very supportive; whenever we have questions, they go above and beyond to provide us with an answer.
Cheetah Conversions uses Asana to manage the project. We have weekly meetings and regular updates, communicating through various channels such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack, email, and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Cheetah Conversions’ deep expertise in specific markets and languages is outstanding. Additionally, the way they manage projects and provide reports is impressive. They’re very transparent, and their work is very effective.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Some of Cheetah Conversions’ team members are non-native English speakers, so we’ve had a few miscommunication issues, and some things have been lost in translation. Still, they’re very good at what they do overall, and they keep growing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a very clear brief and manage your expectations very clearly to avoid misunderstandings. Additionally, be very clear about your budget from the start so that they’re clear on what you intend to spend.
