I’m the executive director of Speak Up for Kids, a nonprofit organization that advocates for children’s best interests by providing programs that help break cycles of abuse, violence, and crime, aiming to create better futures for children.

What challenge were you trying to address with Charity Design Co?

We needed help with everything required for visibility, donor nurturing, compelling messages, rich content, and more.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Charity Design Co provides ongoing digital marketing services for our organization. The team is responsible for maintaining our presence on all possible digital platforms with consistent branding and messaging. In addition, Charity Design Co has updated our programs, content, and messaging to reflect our new public relationship with GAL, resulting in many updates across numerous platforms, mainly on Google programs, event support, and our website.

Charity Design Co manages our Google for Nonprofits ad campaigns through the Google Ad Grant, which allows us to spend up to $10,000 a month on Google ads for free. The team maintains our account at least twice a month, updating the optimization elements and adding new keywords, ads, and groups every month. Charity Design Co also removes low-performing ads to maintain a >6% click-through rate (CTR). The team manages our Google Business listings and all our other Google entities, so everything is synced and cohesive.

Moreover, Charity Design Co maintains our website and our program's site, which requires weekly updates of information, sponsors, and other relevant information on either site. Our websites also work with our donor platform, where Charity Design Co inputs all giving (checks), fundraising pages, event tickets, constituent records, communications, e-blasts, newsletters, and donor acknowledgments.

Charity Design Co also creates and implements monthly campaigns to focus on the different programs and aspects of our organization. Each campaign includes social media posts, e-blasts, a fundraising portal on Harness, and a donation block on the website. These efforts on the website work alongside Cherryl's efforts on social media, where she posts throughout the month to help give more structure and format to our nonprofit’s monthly content.

In addition, Charity Design Co creates most of our event invitations, flyers, and other collateral. The team also creates our annual reports, press kits, corporate engagement packets, and all the creative materials around our programs and their logos. Charity Design Co has created and maintained a new marketing dashboard for transparency and tracking of jobs, requests, and social media team members' tasks across digital platforms.

We found Charity Design Co through a previous board president. We knew Dani, and she is amazing at providing full service. She truly cares, gets it, and comprehends processes. Her attention to detail is beyond words, and I can't figure out how she keeps track of it all. She's remarkable, so we hired Charity Design Co. 

How much have you invested with them?

We have an ongoing retainer with Charity Design Co.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Charity Design Co in June 2016, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Charity Design Co's work has resulted in a $47,096.13 increase in our fiscal year 2025/2026, which means we're maxing out our grant each month. In addition, the Google Ad Grant CTR is averaging 9.90% for this fiscal year. Moreover, the team has generated 376 total clicks, 3,797 total impressions, and a $27.45 average cost per click (CPC).

Overall, Charity Design Co has established the credibility and legitimacy of our organization through consistent use of our brand presence and creating the right infrastructure. The team has also automated many of our tasks to help our nonprofit run as seamlessly, efficiently, and professionally as possible. For example, Charity Design Co has automated donation acknowledgment letters, website contact form follow-ups, and Facebook fundraiser thank-you posts.
