BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the co-founder of a software development company based in Vancouver, BC Canada. We have a range of SMB and corporate clients based largely on the west coast. I manage our IT infrastructure and technical support channels, and help to oversee our ongoing web, database and mobile development projects.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Cave Social?

We lacked the time and skills necessary to define our online corporate identity and manage our brand perception, search presence and social media interactions. We hired Cave to create relevant content for our public site, and provide a coordinated structure for our search profile/social media accounts.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase sales by attracting and closing deals with more lucrative corporate clients. Cave helped us to get our message out in a way that merged the best aspects of technical jargon and traditional business terminology.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found the Cave portfolio online and after the initial contact/pitch, they provided samples of proposed content for our company that stood out from other potential vendors as a match for our branding and search visibility objectives.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We had a series of meetings with Cave to introduce them to our developers and get them to understand our company culture and the specific technologies that allow us to work successfully with a wide variety of customers. They set up our search analytics and social media accounts, and helped us to understand how to measure and optimize the online content that attracts the type of clients we want to partner with.

What was the team composition?

We work with the principals of the firm who delegate tasks as required to their in-house specialists.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our web traffic and lead quality have consistently improved year over year since we have worked with this vendor.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been excellent. In particular, one of their most effective contributions was to introduce us to Slack as a team communication tool. That alone was a home run that immensely improved our productivity.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their core knowledgeability in terms of content creation and digital marketing is impressive. It's their integrity that stands out, everything is upfront and honest. They do a good days work for a good days pay.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Digital agencies can always improve their core technical proficiency with web development tools. They are willing to dig into the nerdier aspects of coding and translate it into English for the wider audience, and we appreciate those efforts.
