We searched online, and had initial meetings and quotes from several developers both locally and internationally. CN provided the best value for money and it was the team that we connected best and understood our project scope.

We had a kick-off meeting to delineate the project, then they got to work. Since this was a web based platform, the first deliverables on the front-end sketch-ups were delivered and then once approved they proceeded to build them. We utilized several APIs and our own integrations that the team needed to implement which they did great.

A PM was our main contact point and liaison and we had 1-2 developers.

During the core of the development work, we had bi-weekly meetings with the PM and team and they walked us through the updates. We also had constant access to the development work through the Teamwork site where we could keep constant communication.

the redesign looks great. Functionality was a challenge to design and layout but once we settled in a framework, they implemented well.

very flexible in terms of my schedule and ability to validate their work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everyone had a can-do attitude with regard to my wish list for the design. I'm not sure how hard it was on the backend but each ask was met with 'yes'.

Initially, the layout proposed was pretty plain and rehash of the old site. Once I made it clear the UX had to change with additional functionality, they came with better solutions.

The scope of the project included two mobile apps and a cloud-based backend. One of the two apps is customer facing and includes push notification and payments. The time frame for this project was tight from the beginning. Their developers contributed greatly to the successful completion of the project through an excellent work effort.

The release for the app is still pending, but the feedback from my client was overwhelmingly good.

The development team can be fully integrated into the project-specific tool chain and any problems can be solved quickly and efficiently due to the good connection to the management team.

The communication skills of the individual developers could be a bit better.

I selected Capital Numbers because of their ratings online and the affordability of their services.

I submitted a breakdown of what I wanted the site to include and what my budget was. They followed up with recommended options in respect to my budget and I went with their recommendation of a WordPress site. They followed up with a kickoff call to discuss the budget and go over the development time for each piece. We then went over how I wanted the site to look and they provided mock-ups. I selected the closest to my vision and they made the necessary changes.

After a couple revisions, they absolutely nailed the look of the website I envisioned. The design team even made some recommendations which took it to the next level. The website is not yet complete and there are some development steps remaining.

They utilize teamwork to map out milestones and communicate on the project. They are very communicative and work really well meeting deadlines. I largely communicate via email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was blown away by their entire process and their ability to communicate effectively. They were highly effective at ascertaining what I wanted and building out an affordable option which would make it a reality. In contrast, I began working with WordPress directly through their "Built by WordPress" team. They were exceptionally poor communicators and their project manager, although initially friendly, became condescending and unprofessional. It amazes me that developers from India can communicate better and out deliver American developers from WordPress.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I could comment on is that on phone conferences, it is often difficult for me to understand them due to the language barrier and call quality. If they could add a native English speaker to jump in if necessary, it would make a huge difference.
