Everyday I would assign my Frontend developer some key tasks and deliverables. He would report back to me. An example of key deliverable he did was help design the logic of flow of grading when we have multiple types of questions.

Sometimes cross team communication is week and could take a long time to communicate inter teams like sales to buisness to engineering, etc.
