I am part of two companies. One is a wholesaler and manufacturer of women’s apparel in the UK. We also offer an online service.

I’m also the co-CEO of another company where we manufacture intelligent control systems. These systems make semi-automated, robot-style connections between devices over distance using wireless or hardwired internet services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd?

I built the original website for the internet service, but we needed a custom e-commerce site as well as a backend telecommunication device.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For the wholesaler, we wanted an e-commerce site that’s different from a standard online shop system. Because it was a warehoused environment, it had to have backward compatibility. The system has to account for the costs of the stock in the end product. If someone in design says they’ve ordered a thousand meters of a particular cloth, that information gets compiled onto a server. That information contributes to the retail cost for a product and how much we make in profit and loss. 

Once we put that principle into place, that’s when Atir (Director, Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd) got involved. His team was able to look at what we were doing and then consider, going forward, the way it should be done. Atir did that incredibly quickly, and his pricing was insanely inexpensive.

The relationship continued with the control system manufacturer. It began as an exploratory relationship because we needed to know what else they could do. We threw Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd some trivial tasks based around internet communication. This was to sound out Atir’s understanding of signals processing and control systems. We discovered that he had people who could answer those questions.

One of our sensitive government-level contracts came to us looking for a technical solution that included our internet system, mobile phone technology, and interaction with an internet platform. We decided to do it like a jigsaw puzzle. We put together three parts in different directions to find out which of the three parties could create a product along the lines of what we said we can produce. 

Atir not only came back with the results, but he also suggested a better way of doing one or two of the things we thought we should do. Based on that, we have now employed him to assist us with the project.

We gave Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd a chance to prove itself as a company with a trial project involving as a database, full accounts capability, and a stock control system. Atir proved himself invaluable. He built everything using PHP, JavaScript, and other technologies.

Because of the nature of what we do, we can’t send Atir hardware to develop our internet system as we can’t be sure it will arrive. We use a collaborative platform instead. He works on elements and can see the results of what he does while working remotely, which is the same as him having the equipment in front of him. He designs some of the backend from his end.

For example, our company does intelligent traffic lights which are solar-assisted and don’t have any land connection. They could be placed anywhere geographically as long as there is sunlight. We have them in Africa, India, and Saudi Arabia in places where the traffic flow is high and road deaths are high. We have reduced the number of road deaths and events by placing those traffic lights. 

Each traffic light is intelligent because they know each other exists and talk to each other. If one has trouble, the other one reports it. It also compensates and makes up for the drop or loss of that particular circuit. If the system needs to be programmed or modified as well as many other functions, it can be done over the cloud. The governments that own those particular kits can go to any of them and decide on custom situations to alter traffic patterns. Once the system is triggered, it will talk to everything along the line to make it happen.

We gave Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd the framework to talk to the hardware, and Atir developed the tool kit to talk to the cloud to make it happen. We can control an entire small town’s traffic lights remotely from the UK or India.

I go through Atir because Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd is a one-stop solution. Atir has a group of people that work for him under the same roof, including graduates from different areas working with him. He has a broad capability of expertise and has someone within his network that can solve whatever we throw at him.

How did you come to work with Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd?

A colleague had met and worked with Atir, and recommended I contact him. I gave him a test first, and I had an answer the next morning. When I took a look at everything he had done, I was stunned.

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in 2017, and it is an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of work is unchallengeable. When I go to meetings with people seeking a contract, I showcase what we do as a company and include what Atir has created. We can’t showcase what we do without showing what he has done.

We had a request from a client to sort out an email issue. An email issue in itself sounds very trivial, but when a developer writes code for someone, they write the code knowing the script so that when they build a product, they know where everything is. If they know where everything is, they know where to go to find things where they are faulty. I asked Atir if there was a way that he could look at our existing script to correct what is happening. His solution was the most obvious—he ended up rewriting it.

How did Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

He clearly has excellent project management. Any time I have given him a deadline, he has met it. We use TeamViewer and a Microsoft package which allows us to interact with certain things on boards. We take what we agree on and transcribe it to text. It then becomes our program plan.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd reliably accomplishes what they promise to do. One of the things I like about Atir is if I call him, he is there to answer me. It is a very rare thing for someone to give you that support. If I have a problem during the day, because of the time difference, he can work on that issue overnight, and in the morning, I’ll get an email that the job is done. You can’t buy the level of service he provides.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would make life a lot easier if I could physically send things to him, but because of the politics of where he lives, we are unable to do so. However, it has nothing to do with Atir.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have your project defined and invite Atir’s opinion and input. He knows what he can and cannot do better than what a client might think they should be able to do. He’ll show you examples of what you’ve asked for or will create one for you. 

Atir can also probably teach you a lot more about what he can do to further your goals. Dip your toes in to see what he is capable of, and he will surprise you.

Easy Peasy Food Delivery Ltd is a Glasgow based 3rd party 100% green food delivery platform trading with the name Eco Runners. The company is offering the opportunity to restaurants and take-aways to outsource their delivery service to us by using our software and for orders coming from every ordering platform available by reducing their delivery cost by 30% to 40%.

Cambrian Infosystems Pvt Ltd was hired by us in order to create from 0 a customised unique software from where we will be able to manage bigger delivery volumes and become scallable.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal of this project was the company to become more self-sufficient, more attractive from our customers and scallable (expand in other cities/areas) with remote management.

Cambrian Infosystems created a unique and innovative software from where we can manage/control remotely food delivery orders that are coming in our system from different restaurants and deliver them efficiently. The AI, the geolocation and the back-end set up gave us the opportunity to triple our volumes with the same number of couriers and expand already in 2 more cities.

What was the team composition?

The project had 2 project managers involved, 2 IT directors and a team of developers. The size of the team change over time due to the demand of the project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

After the completion of the project we increased our customer portfolio by 300%, we increased our efficiency by 150% and we our areas of operation (expansion in new cities) by 300%.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed successfully and with professionalism from every member of the vendor's team. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The speed of completing new tasks and the advanced way of thinking of the project management and development team that they were forecasting at least 50% of our requests.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Due to time difference sometimes we had hickups on the communication (emails etc) but putting them in a general picture they had minor impact.

In this they are developing entire kiosk software for us which will do recharges, utility bill payment and lot more..

I got a chance to meet Atir in Dubai Gitex and after having a discussion with him I found him a good match for my requirement.

The project involved the technical consultation, brainstorming of ideas before coming to final scope with Cambrian.

The architecture of the Kiosk and service was developed with POC before we officially started the project. The phase 1 of the application is already developed and now they are working on phase 2 to include utility bill payment services also in the kiosk.

What was the team composition?

The team has project manager and a technical consultant managing the project for us along with the development team. The Managers so called account representative were responsible to give me timely updates and gather requirements or changes if any. Development people involve many team members which are fixed or join based on the forthcoming technical aspect of the application.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This was our key expertise and we have several versions of this kind of kiosk software we provide to clients. But this development has given us the expertise and the business to reach to new heights. We have been able to sell this software in more bulk and high retention rate.

The project was handled on many tools which were synchronized by team members some of the tools we used in this were Wrike and github.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their knowledge of technology was impressive. They have a transparent working style.

i have not found any flaws in the way they work, infact they suggested me some better tools for work culture.

We needed a software to easily manage our investors and they in turn can easily manage their investments.

They developed for us a own, very good web Plattform for our finance products. Now we can serve our customers more easily and make financial investments for them.

The work with the team was excellent. The financial platform allows us to easily manage our investors and their investments in our products. Exactly what we have been looking for!

Communication was always easy and fast. Both by phone / via Skype, so also in writing via email.

Their professionalism and speed are excellent for us.

During our test runs there were only a few bugs, but they were quickly fixed and in the end everything was perfect.
