All team members were very responsive to inquiries. Some back and forth was needed to clarify requirements but their team was very good about not giving up and would constantly follow-up. I think we could have been more thoughtful about the overall timeline and communicated better what would be done and when - this, of course was as much our fault as theirs.

I don't have a lot of experience with this type of business. The overall process was interesting. I'm sure it's difficult to time manage a creative process and was also interesting to see everything come together when we needed it.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Camberlion could have done differently?
The following comments are meant to be constructive not a finger wag. We got what we needed and overall the experience was great. Here are some thoughts re: improvement - I felt like I ended up having to do a lot more work than I thought I would need to do. A couple of examples come to mind.
I thought I was going to get more suggestions and insight for product names and I think this lead to some delay as we were waiting for them to provide this insight/input.
In the end I had to bring my team together to coordinate brainstorming and name development. We did get some input in the final meeting which was very helpful, but I was expecting more. I think maybe defining what would be needed by my team for this would be helpful - certainly describing what my team would need to do and when would have been helpful. 2. I had to put a lot of hours into writing, reviewing and updating the website copy and the design. Way more than I thought I would have to. I realize that I'm the go to for technical accuracy, but it still seemed like I had to correct more than I should have. HTH

The SEO has been clearly optimized with keywords. We initially gave them 80 typewritten pages of keywords that we’d cultivated over the last 3–4 years. They refined that into what they could use.

Keith (Founder & Strategist) is my primary contact. We’ve worked with two other people from his team — one more closely than the other.

I met Keith a long time ago through our church. I asked some of my friends in the business community about who they’d recommend to redo a website, and his name kept popping up.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality is definitely there, and the overall look and feel, cleanness, and feedback we get back from our users reflect it. Also, the analytics show that more people are driven to our site. It has taken some time, but that’s the nature of this, unfortunately.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve done very well. They’re organized, articulate, and highly intelligent. We’ve noticed several things have fallen through the cracks over time, but they’ve immediately rectified those situations when we’ve brought them to their attention.
They use GitHub to share the results with us, and we typically communicate by phone, email, or in person.

Are there any areas they could improve?
In this industry, it’s tough to provide a target for the expectations. Therefore, it’d be nice to know the amount of investment we have to put in to get a specific anticipated rate of return. We know it’s challenging to do, but we don’t think we’ve seen the recovery from a direct sales correlation, considering what we’ve invested.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Understand the problem you’re trying to solve and define it correctly to set them on the path. Digital marketing companies have a lot of tools at their disposal. Most places take a holistic approach instead of focusing on several key objectives, so make sure you have SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely) goals to measure your performance against those objectives.

We noticed a growth in our audience on Facebook — our numbers have doubled in a short amount of time! We’ve also increased our mailing list; we were at 2000, and we now have 5000.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
They did great; we had good communication with a spreadsheet that they put out every month with all of our postings for social media and its content and release dates — everything was scheduled and organized. They also considered our opinions for changes or tweaks, which we didn’t do because they did a fantastic job creating content. It was a transparent process that allowed us to review our progress through constant meetings.
In terms of communication, we also used email and phone calls.

I work for Tzadik Management. We’re a real estate investment and management company that manages multifamily properties around the state. We also invest in and manage income-producing farmland.

What challenge were you trying to address with Camberlion?
Our website got hacked into and we needed someone to come in, do some mitigation, and help rebuild the website on a new server. We hired Camberlion for these purposes.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Camberlion helped us rebuild our website. The team made its design and aesthetic more current and improved the navigation.
The website work was just completed in early June, but we’re still testing and doing some updating. Camberlion is now collecting data on Google Analytics so that we can start doing digital marketing and fix the on-site SEO. We had never collected data on our website before so there’s little we can do now; we just have to set up our Google Analytics so that we can start actively promoting the site.
What is the team composition?
I’m working with Keith (Founder & Strategist), who is my main contact and is sort of the project lead. He oversees our strategies. I also work with Matt, who I believe is subcontracted by Camberlion, on the creative design aspect. There are also two copywriters on board for this project.
How did you come to work with Camberlion?
One of our subsidiaries, JM Real Estate, has been working with them for a while on their website. They had a big issue with their WordPress platform and it crashed their entire website, but Camberlion was able to help them bring it back to life. Our subsidiary suggested I work with them but I also got a couple of other quotes for the project.
I talked to Keith and he seemed like he had the know-how to come up with very creative solutions. Besides being able to accommodate what I was looking for, he had the ability to continue the project for SEO and digital marketing works. It was just convenient to eliminate that learning curve of having to onboard someone else for the marketing, so we went with Camberlion.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $15,000 which includes hosting.
What is the status of this engagement?
We had initial conversations in January 2021. We were right on track for our initial launch on April 2021 but we had to reprioritize and work on a different website for another one of our subsidiaries.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The bar was set really low; the original website was made in 2007 by one of our team members who had a marketing background but wasn’t fully dedicated to digital marketing. He did it over a weekend, so even the URL structure wasn’t properly done. You could tell that our website had been patched up over the years with multiple things added on to it. As things grew, we had a late 90s type of aesthetic with a lot of static content and nothing hyperlinking to anything.
However, the feedback has been really good with our new website. It still has our brand but it’s now a lot cleaner and has fantastic navigability.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
Keith is extremely attentive. It’s one of the reasons why I didn’t think twice about giving them a second project. He either picks up my call right away or gets back to me as quickly as possible. He is also extremely flexible. Especially in our company, things are very fluid and fast-paced, so much so that yesterday’s plan could be completely voided within a couple of hours. He’s been very patient and understanding with this and not only keeps up but manages to be a step ahead. He usually already has a solution for us.
We communicate through email, text, phone calls, and Zoom meetings where our entire team comes together. I come in with a vague idea and he brings it to fruition. It’s just really good to work with somebody that I can trust to help me fill in the gaps for the things that I haven’t even thought of.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very reasonably priced and provide direct, concise scopes of work that clearly show what I’m being charged for and what each component costs. Vendors would sometimes provide a really long dissertation of the project which we wouldn’t understand or a really short and non-descriptive scope of work that doesn't justify why they’re charging so much. Camberlion, however, does a really good job of providing detailed pricing, which builds trust from the beginning.
Furthermore, their team is responsive and creative. They understand what the business purpose of the website is. I’m from a different generation, so I struggle sometimes with some digital marketers who feel that digital marketing is the purpose rather than a vehicle to achieve a purpose. I think that Camberlion understands that we want to achieve something greater than just having a lovely website that gets hits.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We got pretty far into the process before finding that the website wasn’t proofread. I found very basic errors. For example, the name of our company was misspelled on one of the pages. These kinds of things should’ve been caught really early on.
However, I understand that my company works really fast and we ask for things to be up on the next day, so there’s very little space for double-checking and this is just me being nitpicky. Testing and proofing the site is probably what takes the longest on my end so a better structure in place there would really help me out.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Treat Camberlion like a business partner. Bring them into what it is you’re trying to achieve and give them all the information you have regarding your business purpose. They’re really good at honing that and figuring out what can be done so that it later ties into strategies for growth.
They really think out of the box. I thought I had a clear idea of what I wanted when we first started but they took that to another level. I just sat down and trusted them with our strengths, opportunities, and struggles and they made all of that better.

It’s really important that the company you hire is extremely invested in what they’re doing. The reason that Camberlion has been able to perform so well is that they’ve assimilated to working with us, and we do our best to stay on top of everything — we’re extremely driven.
Camberlion can provide us with suggestions, but it’s our job to prepare for meetings and know what we want to address. Thus, it’s important that we bring our A-game. You can’t just hand someone else the reins and let them run with it. It’s your show, and they’re the engine that runs it.

I’m the COO of an organization called My Steady Mind, a mental wellness training program.

What challenge were you trying to address with Camberlion?
We needed to develop a website.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an introductory meeting with Camberlion to describe our business and general expectations so they could understand what we do. After that, they had complete creative jurisdiction over the website design to make our expectations come to life.
They provided pretty standard WordPress web development services, which included the design concept, structure, layout, and deployment.
What is the team composition?
I worked with three people: Camberlion’s owner, their design director, and a senior developer.
How did you come to work with Camberlion?
Camberlion works out of a startup incubator in Melbourne, Florida, which is where our business also operates. We know them through that connection.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent upwards of $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement started in January 2020, and it’s ongoing. We plan to retain them as our digital marketing company.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website was exactly what we were looking for. Several people saw and experienced the website when it went live, and they gave us five-star reviews. Everybody, including us, loved the output, design, and structure.
I’ve worked with a lot of digital marketing companies and created websites for different businesses of mine, and this is the best website I’ve seen by far. Camberlion just does an amazing job.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
We don’t use management tools. Camberlion might use some tools on their end, but in terms of communicating with us, it’s done via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s their ability to take the chaotic and erratic thoughts in our heads and then create a design and a structure for the website. To go from a blank piece of paper to what Camberlion has come up with is certainly the most impressive part.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I can think of that I wished Camberlion did differently. If we’ve had any hiccups, it’s been mainly on our end. They do an incredible job.
Any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise anyone to start working with Camberlion today.

I’m the owner and operator of DKS Esthetics, a boutique spa that is booked through appointments only. We offer anti-aging treatment and massage therapy. We’ve been open for almost two years now.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Camberlion?
We needed help with our web design and web updates. I also needed some SEO done.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
For the website, they both handled the front- and backend. Since starting my business, I started from a one-room setup and eventually transferred to a whole new building. I used to work alone, and when my company grew and I had two more people with me. In relation to that, I wanted to have a new aesthetic appeal to my website. I envisioned changing the rustic feel of my platform to a high-end look.
The team also made sure that it would be easier for my third-party clients to click through my site and book their appointments. Moreover, they also updated my retail store on the website. Overall, there were a lot of cleanups that had to be done.
On the SEO side, they worked hard to make sure that my business could easily be searched. They focused on raising organic search rankings. The products that I use for my business are sold all over the US, so it could really be a big help if somebody would search the product that we sell and they would be led to my site.

I found Keith through a friend.

Our project happened from July–December 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They made it possible for my clients to book easily on my website. Some third-party clients also saw me through the search engine, and they mentioned my Google reviews. All of the positive things that happened were because of their diligence.
It really helped that I’m the first that’s being popped up when people are searching. I used to rely on word-of-mouth advertisement, but now that I could be found in Google, it had been extremely helpful.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
We did Zoom calls and over the phone. I never had any issues with them. They communicated very well. If I ever had an issue I had to talk to them on a certain day, they responded very quickly. I never had difficulties getting hold of Camberlion. Most of all, they were very easy to work with, even though they were in a different state.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I liked that they communicated with my vendor who was in charge of photography. Since that vendor needed specific things for the website, the team served as the middleman in order to ensure that things were addressed properly. It was very helpful for me as a business owner and operator because it took some of the weight off of me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they delivered well and within expectations. I saw the results that they could do, and we achieved where we want our company to be. I’m ready to work with them on the next phase.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open and communicate concerns. Moreover, always follow up with them. If there are any issues, don’t hold back because they’re very easy to work with.
Know that if you have a problem, they can help you right away. Remember, communication is key to the project’s success.

I’m the founder of Exo Hydroponics. We’re a small startup company and we manufacture hydroponic towers where you can grow 20–32 plants in one square foot using nothing but recirculating water and a 6.5-gallon pail.

I was looking to have my website built and a provider for digital marketing services.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Camberlion built our website and they also handle our digital marketing. I recently set up a social media campaign on Instagram and Facebook with them. They’re handling that and everything internet related so I can focus on the manufacturing and distribution part of the business.
I’m the least knowledgeable person when it comes to social media, websites, emails, and all of that. Camberlion has been extremely helpful in handling those things. I’ve given them photos and verbiage that I want and they’ve done everything and built my website from scratch.
Keith (Founder) is now working on social media to define and identify the audience that I’m trying to target. Camberlion is servicing and hosting my website. They are also putting together my marketing campaign.
What is the team composition?
I work with Keith, a team member who puts everything together, and Matt (Principal Designer) who developed my branding, slogans, and QR code.
How did you come to work with Camberlion?
I interviewed several website designers. Camberlion works with an incubator company and they’re the ones who recommended Camberlion to me.
I had a great rapport with Keith and he was easy to talk with. He saw what I wanted and the product that I was bringing to market and he was the most reasonably priced so I chose him. I shopped around and his prices were very competitive and actually a bit less.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent a little over $4,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with Camberlion in July 2020 and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have any metrics or results at the moment as the website just went live. We just wrapped up the beginning stages of getting it live, but the website is beautiful.
How did Camberlion perform from a project management standpoint?
We have back and forth communication through emails, text, and conference calls. They’re very prompt and even on weekends, they’re replying to my emails which I didn’t expect them to do.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Camberlion is extremely helpful and is handling all of my needs. Keith is awesome. He digs through your brain in an odd sort of way. Their whole team, Keith and Matt gets an idea of what we're looking for and builds on that. They are very accommodating when I reach out to them with the changes I want. They are great to work with.
I’m not a techy person so to have Camberlion is wonderful. It’s a huge addition to my company and to not worry about technology as an important tool in this day and age. They’re great people and they do great work. I feel like I am working with friends, I didn’t feel like I am working with a company. They are very professional and they make the process easy.
For me not being tech-savvy, they've explained everything very simply and them putting it all together has been a huge relief. I couldn’t be happier, just having my website done and going live is a huge step in itself and Camberlion made it easy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I couldn't be happier. We’re just at the beginning stages of the website, they know what’s going to grow, and we'll make changes in the future if we need to.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to give them as much information as you can because they’re really good at sifting information. Don’t hold back. Give them everything you possibly could think of. The more they know about you and your project, the better they can define that and make it a reality.
