We knew that BSH have very deep expertise in the Microsoft stack and initially tested with couple of consulting projects for SharePoint.

Kyashif needed a website that should correspond to the corporate values with an innovative and attractive design reflecting the up-to-date trends. BSH developed a unique public-facing web site for KYASHIF, hosted in the Microsoft public cloud – Microsoft Azure. The responsive, single-page design provides the users with a rich experience regardless of their preferred device – desktop computer, tablet or smartphone.

During the design and development of the web solution we interacted with a Project Manager, Web designer and Software developers from BSH. Bojil, CTO of BSH, and Elena, Senior Project Manager, were heavily involved during the entire project.

The measurable outcome of the project was the new website, which reflects the new modern look and vision of the KYASHIF enterprise.

As a senior executive I have to deal with lots of operational issues and I have to say that dealing with BSH has always been easy, because they deliver on time and within scope, and are capable to present ideas clearly and straight to the point.

BSH was chosen to upgrade and extend the features of an existing Intranet and improve its functionality, based on technologies available in SharePoint. The goal of the project was to improve internal company culture.

As a banking institution we have a detailed and rigorous procurement process for selecting and working with vendors. All vendors must pass an introductory screening and all proposals, submitted by vendors, are carefully reviewed by experienced procurement specialists. BSH has met all our requirements to qualify as a vendor and apply in our bids for technology suppliers. The deciding factors to choose BSH for this project were scope, the qualification of the team involved in delivering the project, the optimal delivery schedule, and the cost.

BSH designed and developed DigitAll – a SharePoint-based intranet portal of Societe Generale Expressbank, now part of DSK Bank. DigitAll, serving as an upgrade of the bank's existing Intranet, features numerous tools that facilitate the daily tasks of bank's employees, motivates them, and enhances performance by providing document libraries, useful links, and various online tools. The portal has an intuitive design that corresponds to the bank's corporate guidelines and values, providing a broad range of social functionalities – forum and discussion spaces, team sites and communities, people, and content search.

BSH followed the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) as a general project management approach, leveraging it to apply Scrum during the development phase. The project phases (steps) included

• Envisioning (we created a business vision and defined the scope of work necessary to bring the vision to reality),
• Planning (we planned until we had detailed functional requirements, system and application architectures, user interface prototype, and a detailed project plan for the remainder of the project),
• Development (we started with first iteration of development and finished with the functionality complete milestone (or Beta release).
• During development BSH's team followed the Scrum methodology), Stabilization (Stabilization represented testing and acceptance), and finally, Deployment (Deployment included final development, release management, and deployment). The solution was built using SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft SQL Server.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The upgraded Intranet was received with enthusiasm and was adopted very fast. As a result it helped improve internal company communications, increase performance among teams and divisions, support company culture and enhance collaboration.

BSH applied agile (Scrum) methods and techniques in the development phase, which boosted the teams' collaboration and performance, sped up the development process and guaranteed project quality and project transparency. Visual Studio Online was the tool used for management of work items and tasks. The Scrum process included requirements analysis and product backlog creation, work in sprints, and regular team meetings. The project development team participated in daily stand-up meetings where progress was reviewed and issues were identified and resolved in a timely manner. Every sprint ended with sprint retrospection meetings where the results were analyzed and the developed functionality was reviewed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had a professional attitude in every step of the process from envisioning to deployment. Delivered on time and according to our requirements, always with friendly and positive approach. I would recommend them for all things related to SharePoint development.

We hired Bulgarian Software House for the design and development of a web system for Bank Assurance, which exchanges data with partner banks of NN and issues policies for specific products. The system has a complex functionality and is intended for several different roles that can perform a wide range of activities through it. The main functionality is focused on online policies issuing. Users can fill in online forms and issue certificates for different bank or brokerage products.

There are many reports which give important information to the management and other teams. A claims module provides possibility to log claims per certificates. Accounting department can easily generate a finance file according to it and can directly upload it into the online banking system.

BSH was invited to present a technology solution, based on our RFP. BSH presented a thorough proposal with detailed scope of work, technology solution proposal, project management approach and pricing. Based on company internal tender procedures, BSH was selected.

The scope of work included custom software development, design, and development of information system for Bank Assurance, which exchanges data daily with partner banks or other partners of NN, and issues policies for specific products. The functionality of the system included validation of data in Excel files prepared and uploaded on an FTP server, generation and printing of certificates, insurance policy status updates, information for received premiums, information for claims related to insurance policies, approval of claims, etc.

The technologies used included ASP.NET, SQL Server, integration with NN SSO and FTP server.

The web system for bank assurance allowed the business processes related to the issuance of insurance policies and management of related claims to be digitalized. The system saves time and optimizes the communication between NN and its partners, saving resources and providing valuable analytics for the business. Business users have access to interactive visualizations and business intelligence and can create independently customized reports. The system provided valuable, easy, and accessible self-service reporting.

My company specializes in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of narrowbody aircraft of the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 737 series (Classic and Next Generation). About 1,100 highly qualified staff work in a site that extends over a total area of 50,000 square meters. The service spectrum reaches from line maintenance to IL-/D-Checks and includes a full range of additional services such as aircraft painting, special interior works, and AOG support.

The modern facility can accommodate and service eight narrow-body aircraft for base maintenance simultaneously and one aircraft in a nose-in position for services such as cabin modifications. In addition, two of the bays have full paint capability.

Extensive workshops allow Lufthansa Technik Sofia to perform all base maintenance-related work in-house or in close cooperation with other facilities in the Lufthansa Technik Group. My position is of a Digital Transformation Project Supervisor, responsible for coordinating and supporting the development of the digital transformation program in Lufthansa Technik Base Maintenance.

Since 2011 at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA) we use the software built by Bulgarian Software House (BSH). The software is a cloud-based platform for conducting online elections. The platform provides a safe and stable cloud environment for the periodic organization of transparent and anonymous elections, with the highest level of security, transparency and the storage of election results.

The business challenge which the platform solved for us was the initial need for a reliable software product, which would allow us to conduct our regular elections and polls among our 700 members, with no overhead in terms of cost and time invested in the process.

Our institute is the only national organisation for all certified public accountants in Bulgaria, and as such we need to be able to poll our members regularly and take decisions , based on the polling results. That is exactly what BSH’s software has allowed us to do and the platform has been instrumental in our growth as an organization for the last ten years.

NN Life Insurance Bulgaria needed a secure, stable and scalable online solution to support distribution channels and increase service level and client experience. The solution had to be complied with all corporate policies for security and reliability.

BSH developed Single-Sign-On solution providing secure mechanism to incorporate the existing internal network applications into the SharePoint 2013 based extranet portal. It provides all partners from all distribution channels with variety of functionalities helping them to perform their daily tasks.

The portal offers access to client information and contract data, ensuring better client service. The Tasks module allows its users to organize the tasks related to client services and meetings following the workflow and business process.

Bulgarian Software House provided design and software development for the delivery of secure, stable and scalable online solution to support distribution channels and increase service level and client experience. The solution was built on Microsoft SharePoint 2013. After analyzing our requirements BSH provided an agile approach of delivery, which elaborated and scaled our initial RFP.
