I’m the CEO and founder of Urban Rez Solutions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with BrandEQ Agency?

We needed a high-level marketing agency to build representation in the sector that we work within. The firm needed to understand our brand and help us monetize it in terms of getting partnerships and spreading the word about the work that we do.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BrandEQ consulted on the brand that we were trying to build. They looked at what we had from scratch and identified areas of growth. They performed SWOT analyses (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). After that, they started building strategies with social media and embellished on what was already there.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Nadine (President). I also work with a myriad of professionals who specialize in social media, creative, and strategy. 

How did you come to work with BrandEQ Agency?

I did market research to locate marketing agencies that serve the demographics that we’re looking for. BrandEQ came highly recommended in terms of their track record with others that I know.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $250,000–$300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in July 2016, and our partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve brought in bigger and better contracts as a direct result of BrandEQ’s branding work. We’re attracting government agencies and police departments to our agency. We can always do better, but our ability to scale and expand our business has increased as a result.

BrandEQ doesn’t wrap up a project; they become a part of the team and always look for ways to keep working with their clients. They’ve helped keep our brand flourishing and our business improving. I’ve recommended them to other organizations and corporations I’ve worked with. They seek to please and get the job done.

How did BrandEQ Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is very easy to work with and detail-oriented. Everyone brings a high level of experience, professionalism, and strengths to the table. We’ve only had issues when their drive for making the product perfect conflicts with our desire for speed. However, it always works out for the best. For their efficiency and quality of work, BrandEQ is premium. 

We communicate over Zoom, Skype calls, phone calls, and emails depending on our needs. Nadine is an open and honest person who brings a human touch to meetings. It makes a difference. The entire team’s willingness to leave the attitude at the door makes for an environment conducive for positive work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciate their partnership the most. They care and go the extra mile to make sure that the job is done right. The team is highly intuitive as well; they’ll recognize if I’m not so sure about a graphic and won’t stop until it’s right. I don’t know of any other agency — in Toronto or in Canada — that can do what they do

Are there any areas they could improve?

Don’t call me on Sundays! I’m kidding, but that goes to show how hard they work. They don’t have traditional hours, and once they start working with us, they don’t stop. I don’t have any constructive criticism for them; they’re great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be honest and open. Come into it expecting to build a partnership. They’re personable and easy to build a relationship with.
