We improve our website UI/UX and we have now individual landing pages for different training programs. Also, our social interaction is improved.

I’m the owner and director of The Focus School, an education institution.

We needed help with the technical aspects of our school.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our website and did our branding. They do our social media pages, too.

Now, they manage all of our marketing and social media campaigns with analytics. Recently, they started working on a learning management system as well. We’re trying to develop the ultimate way to support our students.

Imran (Project Manager) is assigned to me. Muhammad (Founder/Director) is always supporting and in contact as well. They have a team of two people supporting us on the project.

I knew about their work because one of my friends had worked with them.

We started working together in February 2019 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We couldn’t get the desired outcome of we were expecting, but they have been putting in all their efforts and have done their job. Due to the pandemic, we couldn’t achieve all the desired results.

We’re trying to move onto the online education where they are supporting us to develop the online learning platform. We’re hoping this time we’ll achieve our goals.

How did Boundless Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager sends monthly reports related to what has been done with SMM and how many posts, engagements, likes, and SEO improvements. Their communication is very good and they’re always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very competitive in their pricing. We asked for some samples of work from other suppliers; if the work was higher quality, it was double the cost of Boundless Technologies. We weren’t in a position to pay double their cost. They do well and their performance reflects that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have been working with a lot of good customers, but they don’t have any business with schools. Schools have a different kind of marketing and design requirements. There were some gaps there, but together we identified them and they’re improving.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re very dedicated and always available. They’ve been in business for quite some time and have an actual office, unlike freelance suppliers. I suggest going with a vendor that has a registered office. They have a very competitive price and good quality.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sharing one of the feedback provided by our client. This would be sufficient to display product's success: When COVID-19 hit, it was like a nightmare had begun. How were we going to teach all these children through an online platform? How were we going to do our exams and tests and clubs and our fun extracurricular activities? How were we going to give our students some resemblance of normalcy? I was very lucky to have been approached by the founders of Go-eLearn as they discussed the capabilities of this platform.

The Go-eLearn team was able to support all of our needs as a school. They have been training our teachers, supporting our students and families as well as meeting all our requirements. Teachers have been customizing their lessons based on the needs of our students. They have been creating differentiated lessons, assignments, Quizzes, and formative assessments. They are conducting live lessons for their classes.

The reports that the Go-eLearn platform generates is extremely intuitive and useful for the teachers. Marking has never been easier as our teachers are able to mark student work digitally. The challenge was that the there was a 12h time difference between us and the offshore development team. Thus, we all came up with a hybrid (Agile/waterfall) PM methodology where we would have daily 2h of all hands on deck / live sessions.

Their dedication to details and quality of deliverables was impressive.

We were monitoring our requirements and findings in form of a word document and spreadsheet. It would be ideal if some kind of tool (e.g. JIRA) can be utilized for future phases.

We needed help with e-commerce development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed all the modules for online shopping. They provided a network marketing solution which was a reward program for the buyers of the website. Whenever they shop or refer someone, they’d get a reward. The referral member also gets a reward.

I was in contact with the CEO and the development manager who looked after the development team.

How did you come to work with Boundless Technologies?

When we asked for quotations from different companies and reviewed past work, we selected Boundless Technologies. They had the expertise we were looking for and their prices were very competitive. Our main concern was the quality and timing of the project. Other companies were asking for a longer time.

We invested $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together from February to November 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were comfortable with them. They deliver quality work. We’re happy with the end product. We took over the project from them once it was completed. Our internal team is handling everything now.

How did Boundless Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re comfortable with the timelines even if we requested them to work late hours with us to finish some tasks. They gave us a link with their project management software where we were getting all the updates online.

They posted daily tasks that they had done with the timelines and what time they finished the task. If we wanted to talk with the development team, we’d have a conference call with them to finalize all the tasks. Project management was good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re quite professional. Their development team is very cooperative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a few gaps that we tried to fill. We recommended they look into that. The main concern was the working hours and days in Pakistan and the UAE are different. We work Sunday-Thursday and they work from Monday-Saturday. We were losing three days per week instead of two.

This was the major issue we faced working with them. We recommended that, if they want to work with international clients, they have to hire a team or give alternate days off so they can work on the Sunday and take off Fridays. They needed to accommodate all the Middle East customers they have.

They need to study the market and accommodate their internal management according to the market they’re going to working with.

Also, they need to improve on the design side. Their graphic design is lacking a lot. They need to have more conceptual designers.
