A veteran of the listening therapy industry, this company sells to both B2B markets (consisting of therapists, educators, and doctors) and B2C markets.
The company has a suite of music therapy devices that address developmental, learning, and emotional disorders as well as emotional trauma.
THE CHALLENGE
We started collaborating in 2017 when the client started looking for ways to engage and connect with a vast direct-to-consumer audience of individuals suffering from developmental and learning disorders or psychological traumas and their family members.
Because of the climate of the industry, many potential leads were wary of medical claims and were looking for evidence of efficacy.
THE SOLUTION
We’ve build a full-funnel social media strategy to drive users to sign up for a membership using a phased approach.
We’ve developed a few stories based on real case studies that would match our audience targeting to ensure high relevancy of the story. Many of them had visual assets that were used to further engage the audience. While we have seen some successful conversions with warm audiences, we had to retarget the rest of the audience again. This time, we’ve employed scientific data and research found on the clients’ website.
We have further supported our paid social efforts with a paid search strategy that mimicked the same funnel, ensuring personalization of the message on all landing pages.

CAPITALIZING ON SHARK TANK APPEARANCE
The founder and the inventor of the music pillow that helps you fall asleep got to pitch his business on ABC’s Shark Tank. Even after they didn’t get a deal from the Sharks, the brand saw a huge increase in branded searches and direct traffic to the website.
THE CHALLENGE
After an appearance on major TV series, the client has tasked us with figuring out how to drive additional brand lift to the website that would result in even more awareness and sales.
The client had a sense of urgency for the project. Plus, it has been very exciting to leverage the new social proof of a major TV appearance.
THE SOLUTION
For Facebook, we used a number of factors to define a couple of potential target audiences, which were tested against each other. Some audiences were built on existing customer lists and website traffic data, while others leveraged interests in Shark Tank and/or sleep.
On Google Ads, the team sought to capitalize on branded search opportunities coming from the recent TV appearance, as well as the additional Facebook ad coverage. This was especially important to protect the branded searches from competitors who could capitalize on the increase in search volumes. Additional non-branded targeting captured people at various stages in the conversion funnel who were looking for related products and remedies who might have been interested in the technology.

We have been charged with figuring out how to drive pre-order sales in a very limited time period.
The biggest challenge? Target the right perspective customers on Facebook with somewhat limited customer data.

We developed a few potential audiences that were varied in demographic and socioeconomic statuses. The boundless team did a very good job in optimizing top of the funnel ads and generate over 1300 leads. Being highly data focused, they were able to optimize the CPC average between $0.70 - $0.90 across all our ads. They also helped us find some early conversion traction.

We met every Tuesday and they did a good job at a standard and brief report out of the performance metrics and recommendations. Communication was very effective and the team was very responsive which was a delight.

Boundless quickly jumped into optimizations and identified new key areas of opportunities. For Facebook strategy, they have leveraged the power of lookalike audiences to quickly identify and scale the right audiences that were eager to learn more and purchase our cutting-edge technology. They have also optimized our retargeting strategy. Right now, we are seeing a great volume of conversions on Facebook, paying a low CPA on warm audiences and a reasonable CPA on cold audiences.

We have multiple meetings weekly, some are more specific to certain projects, while others are with a broader team. Boundless reports on a weekly performance of paid ads as well as pitching new ideas for optimization and expansion. They are responsive and easy to work with.

After a kickoff meeting, we explained what we were hoping to learn through a series of landing page tests - each testing different variations of a business model, along with different sets of value propositions and price points. Boundless helped us with strategy and execution of the ad campaigns from helping us create the ad titles and copy, select images, customer targeting, reviewing ad performance, and helping us interpret the results to inform our product and business strategy.

In our initial project with Boundless, we ran 3 variations of landing pages for a venture concept. Each was paired with an ad campaign on a popular social media platform. We targeted potential customer segments and ran the tests for a period of time. The results of the tests showed very clearly the champion variant through the clickthrough rates, conversion rates and customer engagement on the landing page itself. The success of the ad campaigns was instrumental in providing clarity around our platform, early adopters, and wedge into the market.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We met weekly to review the results of our ad campaigns, adjust where needed, and plan work for the remainder of the week. In addition we met throughout the week as needed. This worked very well for the team.

We were impressed by the range of hands-on support they were providing us. From strategy, creation and management of the ads, creative content, and analysis and recommendations from the results.

Perhaps making recommendations to align our existing assets and setup to more closely align with best practices. We needed a company to help us set up PPC ads.

Boundless Agency runs our biweekly Google, Facebook, and Instagram advertising campaigns. They build out each ad based on the marketing strategies I provide and then walk us through the process to ensure we understand their reports.
