BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We have one goal, leveraging social media to create real interpersonal relationships that would otherwise never happen. I am a founder and the CEO.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Boost Labs?

This was an business opportunity: We needed to bring our concept out of ideation and into reality so we could move forward. As an entrepreneur I needed to ensure that we were getting the best service possible to save time and money and I was not disappointed.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have a tangible product we could utilize in our pitch so we could compete effectively. We used multiple programs; Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Cloud etc.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were dissatisfied with our previous vendor we were leveraging because of over-promising and their reactive nature. A friend in our entrepreneurship cohort knew Ali and helped facilitate the introduction. Our small founding team agreed unanimously to go with Boost Labs.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

I first reached out to Boost Labs after my team became frustrated with the processes of another firm we were leveraging. The experience we had working with Boost Labs was a stark contrast from what we had been through and I was extremely impressed with the attention we received. We supplied our notes, drawings, and vision and met in person weekly while communicating nearly every day. The Boost team was responsible for creating and iterating on our first version of the application.

What was the team composition?

We worked with 4 individuals in the beginning including our PM (data, information design, and development). As the timeline was accelerated, we required more attention and ended up working with 10 very talented team members.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were able to capitalize on an opportunity with an investor that presented itself very suddenly right in the middle of the creation process.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had an assigned PM who worked extremely closely with us and advocated for our interests. Slack and Asana were the main tools used to ensure we stayed on, and in this case ahead of schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We had a time constraint that was imposed very suddenly during the creation process. Although we consider ourselves a small fish, the Boost team worked diligently to make sure we never felt that way. The UI/UX was beautiful and performed better than we could have hoped for. I can't imagine going anywhere else for our data product needs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Our experience with Boost Labs was phenomenal.
